This is a good read if you like tech science fiction. Moves along at a fast pace and keeps you interested in both characters and story line. Believable information and events.
A terrific plot with lots of twists that I couldn’t put down. The heroine, Cat, grows exponentially as the plot unfolds. You’re never going to predict how the story unfolds.
Wonderfully intriguing to the point of being frightening. Brilliant minds, synthetic connectivity, nanotechnology, AI’s & more, all wrapped around an extremely powerful consciousness & political plot against humankind.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It got my interest and curiosity right away. I have not any of the other books in the series, and it was a really good stand alone. Reading, I was reminded of elements of Cylon evolution in Caprica, the combination of humanity & computer of The Lawnmower Man, the powers of the kwisatz haderach in the Dune …
Enjoyable to read, not your normal futuristic read.
Did not like the premise of AI being equal to humans.
Okay, lets start with the little thing that i find no use for in good fiction, sex. This actually starts with sex as a way to introduce the over riding issue that is the subject of the story. Now you get the hint that the subject has to do with computer implantation. Next are the vilians, who or what?
Very interesting, especially when the …
Very slow start lost interest
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK,jr.
Interesting twist on man machine interaction in the future, good read.
Hard to get started, story came together about 60 pages in
Great read. Well developed. Well paced.
No spoilers here. This was pretty good science fiction based on the future of artificial intelligence becoming sentient and humanities interaction with it. A lot of martial arts were mixed in and I enjoyed that a lot.
The possibilities AI bring to the world are thought provoking. This book does that along with plenty of action. Can’t wait to read the original to see how this all got started!
Well written with a plot that twists and turns right up to the last page.
I did not finish on first attempt to read. I went back to it and again almost quit, but did persevere and boy am I glad I did. Although this book starts really slow it was an excellent story once Catherine is forced to go on the run. Once it got going, I had a hard time putting it down, Thanks William!
Excellent book about dangers of AI in a very entertaining story. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book. By far the best in the series so far.
I enjoyed reading about how the main character solved problems. The AI revolution is coming!
Slow start but a good read
This book kept me up at night – either reading or thinking about the situation and the characters’ futures in the world they inhabit. I have to go on and read more of this story.
