This is a short novella that serves as a prequel to the Blackstone Mountain Series.Brooding dragon shifter + feisty human + a marriage of convenience = sexy shifter action, hot romantic moments, and a HEA to satisfy you! Henry “Hank” Lennox was the last of his family of dragon shifters, and heir to the crumbling Blackstone empire. In order to protect his people and his legacy, he decides on the … legacy, he decides on the unthinkable: buy himself a wife to produce the next generation and secure the future of his family. It was a purely business transaction, so he never thought the bride he meets on his wedding day could also be his mate.
Riva Sinclair would do anything to save her father and their family business, even going into an arranged marriage with a dragon shifter. It was supposed to be a marriage of convenience, a contract that stated she was bought and paid for. Still, she never expected to be so attracted to her husband, and the sky-high walls she put up to protect her heart are starting to crumble.
The same circumstances that brought to them together are about to tear them apart. Can they learn to trust each other or will their pasts destroy the fragile feelings that are only starting to bloom?
The Last Blackstone Dragon is a paranormal dragon shifter novella that’s about 30,000 words in length. It has explicit romantic love scenes, naughty language, and shifter suspense action with guaranteed HEA (happy ever after) and no cliffhangers!

A very interesting story, nice HEA with hints of what’s coming next, looking forward to following the series.
This is a great introduction to the Blackstone shifters. There is lots of turmoil and emotions in this story. Riva and Hank are an unexpected couple but they capture your heart and you can’t help but want them to get a HEA. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Great and steamy introduction to a new series! Definitely worth reading, plus it’s free on Amazon 🙂
So this is a short story to the rest of the series. It goes through explaining about the BlackStone town and the dragons that have lived there. Hank is the last heir after his brother died and took up the CEO job. He needs to find a human to mate with to have his dragon children, enter a Rissa who agrees to an arranged marriage, much to everyone’s surprise. This is their story, and ends in a slight cliffhanger to lead into the story of their children:)
I loved this book. Outstanding background, characters and story. This series is one not to miss. Hank Lennox needs a wife and heir. Riva Sinclair needs to find a way to help save her family’s construction company. When she agrees to marry Hank in exchange for saving her dad’s company she plans to just “get it over with”. She has brains and the moxie to stand up for herself, if she can figure out what exactly Hank wants of her. When an attempt is made on her life, she finally understands just what that is. I love that Hank is not angry or threatened by her when she makes suggestions for the company. Working together would make their life so much better for everyone. I loved Hank and Riva together and can’t wait for more of their story.
I voluntarily received an ARC of this book to review.
In this series shifters are out of the closet and people are the most afraid of Dragon shifters. With anti shifter groups spreading false rumours about them there are few Dragon shifters left.
With the death of his father and brother, Hank has taken over the Lennox corporation and it is in a bad way. Hank is a good man with a kind heart who is under a lot of pressure to pull the business out of the red, the whole town of Blackstone counts on the Lennox corporation to survive. Hank has always believed that Dragon shifters don’t have mates but marry for power but when he meets Riva for the first time on their wedding day there is an instant attraction.
Riva loves her father’s company and it was her dream to work along side him but her father’s company is in trouble and there is only one way to save it, Marrying a Dragon shifter she has never met and giving him an heir. Their relationship starts off Rocky but they were made for each other.
The sneak peek of The Blackstone Dragon Heir leaves me wanting more and I can’t wait to read it
It’s always funny when things don’t turn out as you were thinking and still people keep fighting their feelings. The end is good, and the bonus chapters leaves us curious…

This story is a short read but packed in a lot of back story and history to lay ground work for the series. I still think you could read the first, when it releases and not be lost (no I haven’t read it… yet), but it is great Alicia gave us this. We meet Hank and Riva who are unlikely people to win at the game of love.
Hank is the CEO and heir to the Blackstone empire. He is broody, grumpy, and I felt miserable. He is going through the motions to keep his family empire alive, but it is costing him so much in return. Knowing he needs an heir to take over, he finds a way to marry for convenience. Little does he know that the marriage will be anything but convenient.
Riva comes home to have her world turned upside down. She doesn’t know what to do but plans to do the only thing she can; save her family. Deciding her own fate, she walks in blind to a marriage to save her father and his legacy. What she doesn’t plan on is feelings to get in the way.
The conflict in this story was perfect in my opinion to solidify the love and reality of the marriage. It crescendos and peaks delivering an ending that warms your heart.
I found this story moved quickly along the timeline. What I liked about it was while quick-moving, I wasn’t lost and had my questions answered. While she did end the story beautifully, Alicia left me wanting more and dropped so many delicious bread crumbs for me to follow with this new series.
A short prequel that I wanted to read after reading book 1 in this series.
Interesting characters and enjoyable story but I put my gripes down to this being a prequel and too short to do it justice.
This started off with an arranged marriage and when Hank realised Riva was his mate he was just mean instead of being honest.
Found it too choppy in emotions and actions, needs smoothing out and not such insta forgiveness at the end.
After her accident Riva was freezing cold but Hank didn’t fuss over her and get her into a shower etc.
Knew what Melissa had done from the beginning, just too obvious.
This was a free read so no loss but book one is much better.
I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book for review and here it is. You do not want to miss reading this book. The characters are out of this world and so endearing. A contract for a bride to get an heir, good decision or bad? Well, I will tell you this. Things are not always what they seem on the paper 🙂 Lots of hope in this book, as well as hard work, devotion and of course a twist I didn’t see coming. So, make sure to grab a copy and read it, you won’t be let down. Happy Reading.
Not sure if this was a prequel or novella either way I absolutely loved it. This enjoyable and entertaining read had me hook from beginning to end. It had everything you need for a great read betrayal, deceit, and of course steamy romance. I’m totally looking forward to reading Matthew Lennox story overall a great start for a new series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
