Keeping his presence secret from her despondent father and cousin, she spends a large amount of time getting to know him better. When she discovers his true identity, Lady Augusta decides to help Lord Rushton complete his task to capture the unknown spy.
Falling in love happens gently as they interact. Good story.

The characters are authentic and genuine with depth and individuality that feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it’s like being transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Lucy, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Full of danger and intrigue.
Okay, this book starts off with a bang (there is a punt in there somewhere) and it looks as if Lord Rushton is in a bit of a pickle. Lady Augusta had longed for a season but her father was not in favor so, she is now walking in the woods by their estate feeling a bit sorry for herself, but like Lord Rushton, she seems to be also in a bit of a pickle. There is one thing I can say is thank God for Rufus. Full of danger and intrigue this historical was so entertaining. I know who I wanted to be the villain but guess what the author pulled a fast one on me! If you are looking for one splendid book this is the one to pick up I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Yay!! Another new-to-me author that I took a chance on and am really glad I did!
Since I have not read any of the other books in this series I sort of jumped into a storyline that had already been established but I really did not feel like I had missed anything essential that could have detracted from my enjoyment of this book and mystery! I really liked both characters Lord Rushton and Lady Augusta a great deal and was quite pleased with how everything worked out in the end! I will have to check out the previous four books in this series so I can catch up!
