Lady Ann Stone’s uncle is the new Earl of Stoneford. The only problem is, he disappeared into America’s West. With only her personal maid, Elise Finster, as determined chaperone, Anne embarks upon a quest to find David Stone. First stop, St. Louis, where the ladies discover their quarry went farther west five years ago. Resolute in their mission, Anne and Elise join a wagon train to Oregon. But … But will their prairie adventure turn into a Wild West nightmare?
Scout Eb Bentley, initially skeptical that the women can survive the journey, soon finds himself falling for the determined, charming, beautiful Elise. Can he keep her alive long enough to win her love? Or will the ladies succumb to the rigors, ruffians, and rustlers along the trail?

I enjoyed her as a character, she was loyal, even to what could prevent her own future happiness. She was a strong woman, not afraid of hard work. This had a very enjoyable story line. I would highly recommend it!
I really enjoyed this book. I had to purchase it as soon as I read the 2nd in the series of 3. Kept my interest, enough twists to make it unique. A nice romantic story without being suggestive. I truly love this series!
I really enjoyed reading this book.
This book was about Lady Anne looking for her Uncle David. At the end of the book she still hadn’t found him. You have to go to the next book (or maybe even the next) to find out if she finds him. This is not a stand alone book which is why I gave it three stars.
This book was just OK for me. The beginning seemed promising but I lost interest as it began to drag and become a little too predictable.
I couldn’t get through the first few chapters. It didn’t hold my attention at all.
I enjoy reading series books, but I like them to stand alone. This one ended on a cliff hanger.
Good but a little slow
Enjoyed reading this book, from beginning to end!
Good read.
I enjoy faith based stories from different eras.
This was a good read.
This is a good book to relax by. Enjoyed it, but the whole book took time to read, then the ending was very quick
This was a good book about two proper English ladies taking on the Oregan Trail. The characters are good Christian people and there is nothing offensive.
I loved this book and now I am reading Book 2 , another good read
I loved this book and the two previous books in the series! Even so,I did not like the ending to this book! I hope there is going to be another book after this one! I want to know how Millie makes it in England and if Meri is ever found out about her dealings with the Earl!
Loved everything about this book, except I wanted MORE.
I enjoyed it. It was a good read for a relaxing summer treat. Bought the sequel.
I COULD READ BOOKS LIKE THIS EVERY DAY. IT WAS SPELLBINDING AND HARD TO PUT DOWN. MORE OF HER WORK PLEASE!
I loved this book. It was interesting and informative about what it would be like to take part in a wagon train to Oregon. The love story was pleasant and clean. I liked the main characters very much. So glad that I read it.
enjoyed, would recommend
