Be swept away by the romance, intrigue, unconventional heroines, and dashing heroes, by USA Today Bestselling Author Wendy Vella’s regency romance series.Things were not going to plan for Miss Hannah Wooller. Titled and handsome, … Heatherington. Titled and handsome, he had society at his feet, and she had recklessly coerced him into playing the part of fake beau. Things had rapidly gone downhill from there, and she was soon in over her head, trapped in a web of deceit. Cute story to end the series. Similar to the rest of the series but a little bit more funny. Not as steamy as the others but a little bit of fire
I liked Alex and Hannah and their banter. Frienemies at best, Hannah indicates to her father she and Alex have feelings for each other when her father erroneously raises her dowery to marry her off. Unwanted suitors is an understatement! It was a fun story with intrigue, enemies to lovers, and friends.
The melodrama was unnecessary. They could have had more fights and he could have come to the realization that he didn’t want to go back to being friends. The melodrama only makes her seem like a ninny and has them gadding about the country side. There is being rescued then there is being a martyr and Hannah crossed that exceedingly tiresome line.
A little wordy but a good story
Love it!
A great Author. A great novel. fun.

He was sweet, attentive, and respectable. I enjoyed the story.
The Lady’s Dangerous Love: Benjamin, determined and dashing, vowed
With close friendship and discovery comes lasting love. This is a touching story. Friends and family will outshine the twists and twisted characters. There are moments of grappling with conscience and what to do next. Nicely paced, wonderful atmosphere and memorable characters all. A story to re-read to get the warm soul searching feeling.

A really great read! I have read this one multiple times.
I like Wendy Vella’s writing and will read anything that she wrote. I search my local library for new acquistions by her.
This was another enjoyable read in this series – the story kept me interested & I liked the length of the book. The hero was really the star of this book & I never did connect very well with the heroine. Wendy’s books are always great & I would recommend this book & all in this series to any historical romance reader.
To be honest, I’ve not yet read this one — I’m on the book before it. But this is the one that came up to review. Yes, I’m reading the series.
I almost didn’t, as the first book really threw me. I’d liked the sisters and the story, although the highway robbery seemed a bit too much. But the sudden eruption of the incredibly malignant cousin really threw me. Totally out of keeping with the tone of the book. However, I liked the rest of the book enough to try the second book. And the third …. They do not fall so far into sudden, bizarre rape/violence, thank goodness. And the lovely relationship between the sisters remains, and the increasing family connections are well established.
I’d say this is a good series, all in all. Light, fun, and genuine “feel-good” (if you ignore the bad bit of the first book)
Good book!!!really enjoyed it!!!
Liked Alex and Hannah!!!
This was a different story from the normal romances. Very entertaining.
I take it back! Alex is my favorite! He beat the crap out of the blackmailer and shot the kidnapper! Finally a man who doesn’t leave his problems to come back to bite him in the butt! But were the authorities alerted at any point…of course not.
More importantly, Hannah and Alex have the more adorable sniping!! I love these two so much!! My favorite book in the series by far!!
Will read more of the Langley Sisters series
I found the story exciting and adventurous. The drawback I found was the lead female character Hannah. For being five and twenty she panicked constantly, never thought things through to an intelligent conclusion and she never trusted her friends and family to help her in a crisis. The lead male character, Alex was realistic and made the story worth reading. He truly was the hero of the story.
This is the fifth book in the series. Enjoyed this book.
The characters in this book just did not draw me in. I only read a few chapters.
