I loved this story. Although it started off slow with a little scare element, the story of Oliver & Diana is a cozy romance, until the big bad wolf shows up. It takes Oliver’s secret life to save Diana and Oliver’s love and willingness to do so. The villain in this story is a reflection of the evils of greed & lechery, and it is so easy to hate him. This story is written in the true sense of a fairy tale.
Lots of excitement, suspense, twists and turns, danger, emotional situations and so much more. She is forced into a loveless marriage and takes off. He has his problems too. She goes to work for him and they fall in love. But trouble follows for both. Lots to work out. Can they do it? I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
A Clean & Sweet Regency Historical Romance that is well written with a very good storyline the story flows smoothly from page to page. This is Diana Douglass, daughter of the Earl of Winthrop and Oliver Evans, son of the Duke of Meriwood and a lighthouse keeper’s story. There is drama, suspense, secrets, intrigue, twists, turns, both running away from something, and romance. I could not put this book down until I had finished reading it.
What a sweet clean romance. Two souls running away from their families cross paths and fall in love. A very good read. I do recommend it.
Diana Douglass is daughter of Earl of Winthrop, who has just “arranged” to a very despicable gentleman, Lord Marshall. Before the marriage takes place, Diana runs away. She is woefully unprepared for life on her own. She ends up getting a job at a lighthouse that I being ran by Oliver Evans.
Oliver Evans is the son of the Duke of Meriwood. Oliver left his home and privileged life two years earlier after finding out that his father is planning to sell the estate that belonged to his late mother to pay the bills for his spendthrift second wife.
The interaction between Diana and Oliver is very interesting given the fact that both of them are hiding their real identity. I really enjoyed reading about how their relationship evolved.
I received a ARC of this ebook to read and give an honest review. I’m addition, I purchased a digital copy of the book from Amazon when it became available.
I really enjoyed this book! Diana is being married off to a monster and Oliver is watching his horrid step-mother spend his father into financial ruin. How will each of them deal with their nightmare future?
The hero and heroine are lovable and sweetly romantic, the dialogue is realistic and fun, and the plot is entertaining.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book! Both the hero and the heroine leave home because of being upset with their fathers! Both end up at the same place and eventually fall in love. I recommend this book to everyone that enjoys a good romance!
I really enjoyed this book! I gave it only 2 stars because some of the chapters were exact replicas if others. Chapter 17 and 29 and several other. Some the chapters were just mixed up and didn’t follow the timeline of the story. It was difficult to read! The only thing that saves it was the story was good and so were the characters. It seriously needed an edit. It was more like a rough draft where the other just threw the book in the air and let the chapters fall where they may. I really enjoy this author and was deeply disappointed!
