I read this mostly to finish up the series since I had read the others. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to, based on other reviews I’ve seen. That said, the book definitely went on too long. Like others, I was a bit confused on the timeframe because it kept skipping around and it would take me a while to realize that characters telling the story were ones in certain parts, many years older. Overall, it does bring the series to a conclusion. Is it satisfying? Jury’s still out on that one, and I can’t say a whole lot more without lots of spoilers. At any rate, I am glad to have finished the series.
The final book. I finally got the answers I was searching for yet felt a little bit disappointed at the ending. I don’t know, I think part of me was expecting something a little differently. I’m glad that Ciri didn’t end up with any Prince; I think she’d be too good for any of them anyway. I’m glad that Geralt and Yennefer ended up together for the long-haul. I’m still thinking about that ending and how I wasn’t expecting it. I think this is one of those series that I won’t forget about anytime soon
I loved this final(?) story of the Witcher series. The author pulls together all the lose ends in a story that’s packed with non-stop action, a little romance and a completely satisfying ending.
If you’ve stayed with the series this long, of course you have to read it although it’s a little bit bitter-sweet to say good bye to the characters we’ve followed for so long.

Gah, these are always so hard for me to review 😐
I love the world Sapkowski has created. I love the characters – some a little too much. But damn, this man can info-dump. His books always read a little like rushed NaNoWriMo projects to me – write down everything, whether it’s repetition or not, just hit the bloody goal before the month is over. You can tell he’s proud of the world he’s created, because he will tell you *every little detail*, especially where the war and politics are concerned.
As much as I love multiple POVs, they need to come together and work towards one end. This book felt more like a collection of separate stories that were sort of heading in the same direction at some point but lost sight of each other at a crossroads. I have no idea why Jarre’s POV was there. I feel bad about it, but I skimmed those chapters.
Gawd, I feel so harsh with this review now!
I was actually tempted to stop a few times, but I do love lore, and for someone like me who played the games first, these books are all the lore. I just wish they came with more focus and less info-dumping and repetition 😐
Lady of the Lake is the final book in the Witcher’s serie.
Having walking through a portal at the Tower of Swallow, Ciri find herself in a strange world, an Elven world. She have no way out to go back to her own world. But she is the Child of Prophecy and she won’t bu defeated and will find a way to get back to Geralt. And the world is still at war…
I really like this book, there’s a lot of creatures, elves, unicorns, trolls.
