The Lady and the Pirate by Bernadette Rowley is more then just a straight forward pirate romance. We have two souls like peas in a pod, Samael Delacost the Singing Pirate and Lady Esta Aranati, but they don’t know that. I love the tension and play that Ms. Rowley has created between these two characters, neither one of them wanting to admit the longing and real attraction they have for each other. Ha! but it’s the treasure map that Esta and Lady Star have that had me intrigued plus the tug and pull between the lady pirate Moonlight and the Singing Pirate. Oh and don’t forget the information Sam shared with Lady Esta that has her running to his aid because he is going to need some help. Well if you are wondering what the heck I am talking about you will just have to read the book. Book 6 in the Queenmakers Saga is full of danger, lots of it, surprises galore, action, beauty, darkness, a strong sense of feeling lost and the gratitude of being found and don’t forget the romance.
Just another hit by an amazing storyteller, it never ceases to amaze me how this author manages to capture the reader and have them totally captivated by the story. The characters are so lifelike and real you feel like you know them on a personal level. I absolutely couldn’t get enough of this novel, and even now am sorry it is finished. Read this one.

Amazing job Bernadette, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
The Lady and the Pirate, number 6 in Bernadette Rowley’s Queenmakers Saga, is an entertaining, swashbuckling tale. Although this, at first glance, appears to be a simple good girl falls for a bad boy story, it doesn’t take long to realize that there is much more to these two than meets the eye. There is also much more to this tale than just a love story. The storyline is filled with twists and turns, humor, magic, intigue, danger and romance. The characters are enjoyable and well-developed. I look forward to meeting them again in future installments.
