Dropped smack-dab into the All-American dream, Faye should feel grateful. Except living with her wealthy uncle, his fashion-empire-owning wife, and their seven screwed-up sons is quickly turning into a nightmare—especially when certain inappropriate feelings arise.
Kyler Kennedy makes her head hurt and her heart race, but he’s her cousin.
He’s off limits.
And he’s not exactly welcoming—Kyler is ignorant, moody, and downright cruel at times—but Faye sees behind the mask he wears, recognizing a kindred spirit.
Kyler has sworn off girls, yet Faye gets under his skin. The more he pushes her away, the more he’s drawn to her, but acting on those feelings risks a crap-ton of prejudice, and any whiff of scandal could damage the precious Kennedy brand.
Concealing their feelings seems like the only choice.
But when everyone has something to hide, a secret is a very dangerous thing.

I’ve been binge reading this in all of my spare time for several days now, and I’m sad that its ending. I want more Kyler & Faye!
Faye is one bad a$$ heroine. Even with the loss she has suffered, she still has a sweet side to her, while still standing up for herself. She had my total respect throughout this whole book.
If hot, brooding guys are your thing, Kyler Kennedy is exactly what who you need in your life. After everything he as already been through in life, he has shut down and doesn’t let anyone in, until one look at Faye. It’s love at first hate or vise versa.
Kyler’s books are a bully romance packed with all the teenage angst and drama. Add in the dysfunctional family, secrets, lies and revenge, a forbidden romance, and you will be swiping the pages trying to figure it all out. I’m hooked!
I’m totally addicted to the Kennedy boys!
Holy smokes what am I reading?!?! Faye and Kyler’s 4.5 stars story had my head spinning with so much angst between them but the need to hold off because of their connection. This book was recommended to me by a dear book friend of mine and I am so glad that I finally started reading it.
There were many jaw dropping moments with a lost for words and just when things were picking up we are left with cliffhangers in Finding Kyler and Losing Kyler that had me yelling expletives and shaking. The ongoing reveals of the each of the characters had you questioning everything and wondering WTF? To throw into the mix the beauty of the family and their status in the community will have you wanting to be a part of them in some way.
Throughout the read the story keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. We are met with more twists and turns in each books that will have you jaw dropping speechless. We also get to know more of the Kennedy family and learn more of their hidden secrets and understand their personalities that make this family dysfunctional at best.
Kyler and Faye’s love story was quite a journey. This whole series took you on quite a roller coaster ride that never let you down with its constant twists and turns. Author Siobhan Davis knows how to grasp your heart, break you down to pieces, and make you believe that regardless of the situations (because there were quite a bit) love will find a way to conquer all.
This collection of books 1-3 is the start of an epic series. Well what can I say if you love a bit of bullying, scandal, taboo romance and drama in spades this is where you go. I loved the character how they grow over the books and you are on the edge waiting to see what could possibly happen next. There are some twist and turns and the characters have to over come obstacles in their way, that makes you not want to put the book down. This is an additive series and just needs to be read.
The following books are just as gripping to read with suspense, drama, action, arrests, secrets, unpredictable twists, loyalty, trust and love.
This series was my introduction to Siobhan’s books and oh-em-gee!!! These books started my love for “stepbrother” type tropes. I loved Faye and Kyler’s relationship!!! The immediate connection they had, even as Kyler tried so hard to fight it, and the jealousy (at times on both their parts), was SO much fun to read. Very entertaining trilogy with lots going on beyond the romance happening between Kyler and Faye. I highly recommend!!!
This boxset was outstanding!!! It had some of my very favorite tropes, including lots of jealousy and angst. It caught my attention from the very beginning, and had me staying up till the wee hours of the morning to finish it, because I just couldn’t get enough! So, so good! Highly recommended!
Oh my Kennedy family loving heart! I love the drama, all the angst- and after an epic journey full of drama and emotional growth, we’ve reached the end of Kyler and Faye’s books. Siobhan has created such an energy around this family- that curious fascination that has me as obsessed with this family as the world around them. I can’t wait for future stories, but Kyler is going to be hard to beat.
This has everything I love about this series- over the top drama, delicious steam, deep emotional connections between our leads, and the quirky, loyal force of nature that is the Kennedy brood. The story picks up right where left our pair- with Kyler on the hunt for answers and Faye determined to support him. The dynamics have changed- they are in the public eye now, secrets are out in the open, and they can finally exist as a pair without either of those obstacles between them.
Faye and Kyler are the ultimate soulmates. I feel their connection, their love DEEP in my soul, and this is my favorite part of their journey- perhaps because we get to see them just BE together finally. They’ve been through so much to get there, and now they can focus on solidifying their relationship vs. the push-pull they’ve been in and the way they’ve had to hide. I’ve always loved Faye, and she continues to shine here. She’s strong and patient, determined and resilient. She’s willing to fight for what she wants, but she does it with love and empathy. And Kyler- OH my Kyler, you have my whole heart now. Siobhan is the QUEEN of taking flawed heroes and stripping them bare- exposing what makes them so flawed, And then once we’ve seen their beating heart, she works her magic- she redeems them for their flaws, gives them meaningful opportunities to grow and evolve as men, but also as partners. And that is the best part of this whole book for me- seeking Kyler vulnerable, open to both us and Faye. He stopped pushing Faye away, and he starts pulling her in- he gives her trust in action, he treats her as his partner.
I also just LOVE this whole Kennedy crew, and I can’t wait to see how they evolve over time. While the story is definitely focused on our couple, the ensemble element adds such richness to the story – and always makes for some of my favorite parts of the books.
Siobhan continues to earn my undying one-clicks with this series. Drama, intensity, secrets and danger- and at the center, a passionate and captivating epic love story that I’m utterly addicted to- I’m hoping to get to see much of Faye and Kyler in future stories, because I will never get enough of this couple!

The Kyler Collection
Finding Kyler:
Finding Kyler is book one in The Kennedy Brothers serial and first of a three-book sequence based on Kyler & Faye’s story and don’t get me wrong I though it was going to be too much of a YA for me, but boy was I wrong, so much I devoured Kyler’s books and working through them all!
Kyler is part of the Kennedy clan, his mother spearheading the infamous Kennedy apparel brand and they‘re all used to being in the limelight.
Faye however is a grief stricken YA, who’s just lost her parents in a car crash and suddenly introduced to an ‘American’ Uncle did know existed, as she’s still months from her 18th birthday she has no choice but to uproot and travel halfway across the world to the Kennedy mansion, where she meets seven cousins she also didn’t know she had.
Kyler, being the closest in age, took an instant interest in his new ‘cousin’ but with demons of his own and a major chip on his shoulders they clash immediately.
This book although touches on the forbidden ‘kissing cousins’ is an exceptional introduction to the dynamics of the family, full of secrets and twists and with a cliffhanger, leading us into Losing Kyler -book two – one I couldn’t put down or wait to jump into book two.
Absolutely loving it Siobhan!
Losing Kyler:
Well Siobhan Davis does it again, keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Firstly and importantly do NOT let the taboo nature of Kyler and Faye’s relationship put you off reading this series, there’s definitely more to this story than that aspect and in this book there’s so many twists and turns I couldn’t put it down, but h€ll this family has its secrets!
My emotions ranged from routing for Kyler to despising him and routing for Brad and my heart bleeding for Faye all at once!
I also loved that you get more of an insight into the rest of the brothers, who clearly have their own stories to tell!
Another read.
Keeping Kyler:
Keeping Kyler is book three and the final part to Kyler and Faye’s story and it most certainly did NOT disappoint – Siobhan definitely knows how to keep you in edge!
How they’ve grown and what they’ve been through is nothing short of amazing and this no doubt was a killer conclusion.
You get so invested in this family getting past their heartache and mistakes, the story sucks you in so much and I can’t wait to delve into the rest of this family’s story’s I don’t doubt we’re in for more rollercoaster events that will only suck you in further!
Once again another book in my opinion.
Finding Kyler: If you like high school bully romance stories that are dark, raw, gritty, and intense with lots of drama, angst, family secrets, lies, scheming, scandals, lust, betrayal, and forbidden love, then you definitely need to read Finding Kyler by Siobhan Davis. This book does end on a cliffhanger.
Losing Kyler: This is the second book in The Kennedy Boys series and picks up where book one, Finding Kyler left off. In Losing Kyler, Siobhan Davis gives us another fast-paced, action-packed, twisted and heartbreaking story paced with so much drama, intense chemistry, twists and turns, suspense, mystery, betrayal, angst, so many questions, but very few answers, and forbidden love.
Keeping Kyler: The third book in The Kennedy Boys series, Keeping Kyler picks up where book two, Losing Kyler left off and concludes Faye and Kyler’s story. A heart-wrenching, gripping, all-consuming, fast-paced read that will have you feeling everything, Keeping Kyler is overflowing with family secrets, accusations, drama, lots of twist and turns, mystery, obstacles, angst, danger, jealousy, turmoil, heartbreak, suspense, enemies, steamy scenes, which all leads to love and a HEA.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
I read these separately and am posting my reviews here:
Book 1: I didn’t start this series at the beginning and now I am going back to catch up. And this book has so much going on with Faye that you will so much sadness for her broken heart. She has lost her parents and is moving from Ireland to live with her only living relative. Her mother’s brother is James Kennedy, husband to Alex Kennedy, queen of fashion. And she meets all seven of her cousins that she never knew she had.
Kyler is a brooding alpha male that doesn’t acknowledge Faye, doesn’t even speak to her. But the more he tries to stay away from her, the more the invisible string pulls them together. He does all he can to protect his brothers and he is beginning to feel that protection for Faye.
How will Faye and Kyler deal with these feelings they have for each other? Will the mean girls at school continue to bully Faye? What will happen with the secret that James reveals in the end?
I have to say that I was not expecting that bombshell that was dropped at the end and I can not wait to read the next one to see what happens. I love author Siobhan Davis and her writing style, she has a way of telling a high school bully story that makes you want to help the one being bullied by climbing in your kindle and slapping the bully upside the head.
*Please note this book contains a forbidden love theme featuring first cousins and a cliff hanger. It is not a standalone read.
Book 2: When I finished Finding Kyler I had to start this one because I needed to know what happened next. But I wasn’t expecting that.
Faye and Kyler are still trying to figure out what is real and what is a lie. It seems that most of what she knows is a lie. The only thing she can trust is the feelings she has for Kyler. And that might be wrong too.
This is one hell of a story, it seems that with Alex and James most of it is built on lies or half-truths. I think that Faye coming along has been a good thing for the Kennedy boys but a bad thing for Alex and James because Faye seems to be the only one to see through the lies.
Will Faye and Kyler ever get the happily ever after? Will all the secrets be revealed? Will Faye go after Kyler or accept his wishes and not look for him?
I should have expected the twist and turns in this series from author Siobhan Davis. She is a great storyteller and has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat until the end or until the cliff hanger, whichever comes first. I need to get Keeping Kyler, book 3 soon. I need to know how it ends for Faye and Kyler.
Book 3: Keeping Kyler picks up where the last one ended with Kyler off on his own to find the shocking truth. People in his family have been keeping secrets and others have gotten hurt. Faye wants to go after him to help him but only his brothers know where he is.
Faye knows the heartache of losing family and finding out about secrets. She wants to be there for Kyler when he confronts his truths. As she learns more about her real father and his family, she has to try to accept them as her new family.
You will not be ready for all the craziness that Kyler, Faye and the rest of the Kennedy clan will go through to get to the end of this book. There are people out to destroy Kyler and Faye to get to Alex because of what she has. It all goes back to insane people thinking they deserve someone else’s life.
I really like the suspenseful aspect of this book, it had a sort of who done it factor that had me wondering who and why that kept me reading just to see what was going to happen. And if there was going to be a HEA for Kyler and Faye.
I recommend this series and I hope you enjoy it too. I can’t wait to read more from the Kennedy brothers.
Kyler and Faye have such a connection but they are both fighting to the bitter end. Kyler is downright awful to Faye when she arrives at his house after the fatal accident her parents were killed in. One thing after another happens to the two of them. Some that bring the two together and others that break them apart. Can the two get it together and embrace the connection that exist between them or will it all end? This is a hot roller coaster ride that will just not let you off.
The Kyler Collection touches on the other Kennedy Brothers as well. A little hint here and there…and you are trapped in their world, awaiting the next book so you can read all about all the little hints about the brothers and other important characters in the Kennedy world. If you haven’t read about these gorgeous, fit, hot as heck yet passionate and loyal Kennedy brothers you are missing out!!! Except for the Kyler Collection all others can be read as stand alone but they are sooooooo much better when you start at the beginning. You just can’t go wrong if you choose a book written by Siobhan Davis!!! I am volunteering to read and review the Kyler Collection because I just can’t seem to get enough of these boys!
**FINDING KYLER
4.5 Hearts
Finding Kyler is the first book in the Kennedy Boys series. It is also Siobhan Davis’ debut novel and it was impressive. With the amount of characters involved I thought I would get confused especially with all of the brothers’ names starting with the letter K. But surprisingly, with the family tree in the beginning of the book it really helped. This isn’t just Kyler and Faye’s story, this family is one for the books…
Faye only had her parents growing up and now they are gone. She was only a few months away from being an adult so she set her plan but that all changed when she found out that she has an uncle that her mother kept secret. She was now leaving her home of Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts to live with the family she never knew. This includes not only her uncle but his wife and their seven teenage boys. She was nervous but she knew she would adjust. Then she gets hit with the fact that they are The Kennedys. Of Kennedy Apparel. A multi-billion dollar fashion line. So she wasn’t only being thrown into a new world but it was going to be a wealthy one. One that she knows absolutely nothing about. She was told by her Uncle James that his family was excited about meeting their cousin but when she shows up, it’s not exactly with open arms especially when it comes to Her cousin Kyler. And when he warns her that she doesn’t belong with this fucked up family, she is shocked by his statement. He doesn’t want her there but from that moment, she felt something. Something she shouldn’t feel towards her cousin. Attraction.
Faye has been around drama but this is craziness. The family has their own issues. Each of the boys have their own personalities but they have one thing in common: they don’t respect their parents. They have their reasons. She doesn’t get it. Her uncle and aunt seem nice enough and their children don’t look like they are lacking for anything. She figures with having a successful empire and having seven children, it can cause some stress. Kyler warned her the family was fucked up but with each passing day, she starts to see why. She also discovers that her mom wasn’t always truthful.
Now…for the attraction to Kyler. He is an asshole. He also has a sweet side. He is a complex seventeen year old that she shouldn’t want. But her mind and body are not on the same page. Kyler also feels the attraction between them so it’s not just a confusing emotion for her. But, it’s forbidden. It’s not illegal but it would cause scandal towards the family. And The Kennedys have enough. Because of this attraction it causes them both happiness and hurt. And Kyler also has an ex-girlfriend that he has to deal with. And as soon as she meets Faye, she wants to ruin her. She feels threatened by the new girl. The drama is thick with these three.
Ok…I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the “kissing cousins” vibe but it didn’t bother me. Maybe it’s because I love a forbidden romance. It also helped that it was detailed in certain aspects of the relationship. I also think it was because they didn’t grow up together. They didn’t even know about one another. They could have been in a club and hooked up and never would have known until she met his parents of course. I found myself actually wanting them together.
I thought the book was addictive. I am in my mid-thirties but I have and still do watch a good share of teen dramas. I think that was why I was sucked in. With seven wealthy and good looking teenagers I knew there would be some drama and damn. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I think Siobhan did an amazing job at keeping it interesting. I also liked that the boys are all different. Kalvin “the player” cracked me up with his over the top flirty ways. Keaton is the joker of the group but also very protective. Those two stood out the most to me, well besides Kyler but the others were there too.
Overall…it’s a great debut. It’s full of drama, love, scandal, dysfunction, secrets and lies. I will definitely be reading the next book.
Quotes:
“Don’t flatter yourself. You’re the first specimen of prime American A-hole I’ve seen. I wanted to memorize the form so I know what to avoid the next time.”
A reminder of all that is forbidden.
“Relax, Mary Sue.” He holds both hands up in the air. “I’ll be a good boy now. But make this snappy so I can attend to business.”
**LOSING KYLER
Losing Kyler is the second book in the Kennedy Boys series. It can not be read as a standalone. I will warn you that this is a controversial story. It’s forbidden. Scandalous. And that is why I was hooked from the very beginning. Sometimes I just need something out of my comfort zone. Out of the box. And this is one of those stories. I won’t get into detail with this one. If you read the synopsis, it explains a lot.
Losing Kyler starts exactly where Finding Kyler ended. With a revelation that brings Faye to her knees. She is a strong girl but this could make her break. She and Kyler have to keep their distance. It kills them both but it has to be done. For everyone’s sake. Not just their own. The family not only has to figure out their lives but they are also hit from other angles. Will this family fall apart or will it all bring them closer together?
So…I grew up watching soap operas. Shit, I was named after a character of one. I love the angst. The scandal. The oh, fuck moments. The twists. The love. The unlikely friendships. The unwanted enemies. And most of all…the families. I know they are fictional but under that fiction there lies truths. These scandals do happen. They are hidden. Some not so much. Some thrown on gossip rags. I like that about this book. There are real issues within the story. They are just hit by hit by hit. In a small amount of time.
Overall…it’s a forbidden story about love, family, and friendships. It’s full of suspense, heart, and discovery. The writing is wonderful. The characters are something else. They all have their unique qualities. I hope I don’t have to wait long for the next book but if I do, I know it will be worth it.
Quotes:
“I’m trying to stay strong,” I whisper, “but it’s damn hard.” My voice cracks.
“You put the rama in drama,” he jokes, and I punch him in the arm.
“When did you get so wise?” I murmur, smiling.
He shrugs. “Guess I was just born perfect.”
** I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
**KEEPING KYLER
Keeping Kyler is the third book in the Kennedy Boys series. You must read the books in order to fully follow the whole drama filled story. I am going to make this quick since I do not want to spoil anything. Keeping Kyler starts exactly right after Losing Kyler ended…with a cliffhanger.
Kyler needs answers. Now. He is determined to find them. And Faye is determined that he not do it alone. She doesn’t want to lose him. Not again. It seems at every turn there is something or someone trying to keep them apart. They just want to live a normal life but nothing with their family is normal. They are Kennedys after-all. Can they finally find their happily ever after?
Yeah. That wasn’t much. At all. I will say that I was sucked in from the very beginning of this series. It’s full of drama, angst, love, heat, and family. I know I said it already but drama. And I fucking love it. I was in the womb when I starting watching soap operas. I would come home after school and catch up on them with my mom. During the summer I watched them daily. Up until last year I had to watch General Hospital five days a week. Thirty-five years of it. I miss cable!! Anyway…this book gave me that feeling. I couldn’t stop reading. I couldn’t wait for the next oh, shit! And oh, fuck moments. The twists. Omfg. Seriously, I sat and ate popcorn while I read.
Overall…I am addicted to this family. The writing. The characters. I couldn’t read fast enough. It was an amazing conclusion to Kyler and Faye’s story. I am excited for the rest of the boys to get their stories.
Quotes:
“You are far too tempting to be let out in public.”
“You can’t suggest killing people every time they cross us. You’re playing way too much Assassin’s Creed.”
They are far from perfect, but they’re my far from perfect.”
This boxed set is ready to be read in its entirety!
This is a book that has not only captivated me but also intrigued me to a point of contemplating the subject matter incessantly. Forbidden love, angst, love/hate, dysfunction, push-pull, bullying, deceit, human failings – all those dark elements kept me riveted to the point of not wanting to stop reading!
The connection between Faye and Kyler is immediate and intense and the attraction they feel toward each other also lured me in to a point that I felt what was going on between them despite the circumstances and appropriateness. So many emotions and introspection.
Siobhan Davis intricately weaves her characters, their relationships and interactions, development, plot and content to a point where you don’t know what will happen next. This is clearly demonstrated in the shocker of a cliffhanger ending that has me diving right in to Losing Kyler!, (The Kennedy Boys #2)
If book one, Finding Kyler, captivated and intrigued me, Losing Kyler, book 2, has me beyond enthralled!! Again, the angst, dysfunction and drama that these characters encounter is beyond riveting!
Kyler and Faye’s intense relationship had me on edge throughout the whole book. All the side characters’ added to the dilemmas, secrets and mystery that make this story so alluring to me.
The undeniable attraction between Faye and Kyler has me convinced that they should be together but all the outside forces and obstacles thrown their way is overwhelming at best.
Siobhan Davis skillfully casts a labyrinth of a story that cleverly eases you into a fascinating tale! I am so glad that I can dive right in to Keeping Kyler, (The Kennedy Boys #3)!!
I was completely enthralled by Keeping Kyler, book 3, of the Kennedy Boys series. There was angst and there was drama there were surprises and I was held captivated once again by this intriguing story.
Kyler and Faye grew in so many ways, they matured thru all that they went through together. Through it all their love evolved and grew to such deep levels that I knew they were meant for each other!
The side characters were also very important and played a key role in this book and that added to the allure of this story. The character and story development was transformative and added to my anticipation of what’s to come in The Kennedy Boys series as a whole.
Siobhan Davis has piqued my curiosity and I can’t wait for more!
I really loved this trilogy!
In one word for Siobhan Davis and the Kennedys, WOW. This is more than a book it’s like a tv drama coming to life in a way that is still surprising me. One thing for sure Faye is definitely no weak damsel in this book she is full of spunk, attitude, and fighting for Kyler for a future. Here is a girl who has been uprooted from her life to come into a family she never knew existed until now. There is so much to say and cannot say so you got to grab this series. Siobhan Davis not only brings us Kyler but there’s more like him with Kalvin, Kent, Keaton and Keanu even Brad coming. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
These first three books focus on Kyler and Faye’s relationship.
This collection takes us from the very beginning where Faye meet’s the Kennedy family after her parents are killed in a tragic accident. Faye goes to live with her Uncle, Aunt, and their seven sons that she never knew about. Not only is she thrust into a new family, but a new country as well. Faye moves from Ireland to America. As she navigates her new life in a new land she has to fight her growing attraction to Kyler (one of her cousins, or is he?), high school, and crazy ex-girlfriends. The whole family has to deal with tragedies along with one twist after another.
Siobhan tackles a few taboo subjects in this series. She does it in a way that doesn’t leave behind any icky feelings. She definitely isn’t afraid to tackle the hard subjects and comes out with happy endings on the other side.
Five absolutely deserved stars for this collection, Faye and Kyler !!!
I don’t know what to say anymore.
I wrote reviews for all three books separately, so if you like to know detail review for every book, you can read them !
I will just say…
YOU. SHOULD. AND. YOU. NEED. TO. READ. THESE. BOOKS!!!
This books ruined my life, upside and down, but in a good way.
It was so easy to fall in love with characters, storyline and everything.
I really don’t know how I didn’t know for these books earlier and why they aren’t popular as other books with a similar theme.
If you’re looking a dark bully high school romance, then these books are the one you don’t want to miss!
Highly recommended!!!
P. S. Can’t wait to read other books about other Kennedy boys!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
What a series! So much in such a short time. I really enjoyed these books that set the tone for the rest of the brothers books. I love that they come back in another series 😉 They had quite the road to their relationship but it was necessary. Then, battling to stay together – complete soul wrenching! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
After spending the last day and a half immersed in this story, I am now going through Kennedy withdrawal. I know there are more books in the series, and I will read every one, but this intense, riveting, wild and crazy romance by one of my favorite authors, still has me under it’s spell. The Kennedys are one seriously effed up family with more secrets than the pretty little liars, but I loved them. Cousin Faye from Ireland is the catalyst that begins the unraveling when she moves in with the family after the death of her parents, and falls for her cousin Kyler. Let the drama begin! Seriously though, I loved this awesome story. I was completely mesmerized by the plot as well as the stunning passion between Faye and Kyler. This is one case where five stars are not enough.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
From start to finish my mind was racing as fast as my heart! Kyler and Faye were part of a web of secrets and lies that spun out of control until these two demolished it with their passion! There was an unspoken bone between them and no matter how hard they tried they couldn’t fight the pull!
This trilogy is the start of the Kennedy brothers series that promises to deliver angst, pain, hope and a love that shows the bonds of family will not be broken no matter how hard you try! Each book after this are interconnected standalones but trust me you don’t want to miss Kylers and Fays journey and the start of something AMAZING!
The Kyler Collection is made up of three books; Finding Kyler, Losing Kyler, and Keeping Kyler. Right from the first story, I was hooked. Between the mean girl navigation, which from any girl who has attended high school this is a very thing, the ever changing hormones that rage through a teenage body, and then throw in the loss of your parents, moving continents, and living in a house full of high society drama and this collection is packed with everything.
Family secrets rip through the Kennedy household which is already ripe with deception, cheating, an overworked mother, an underappreciated father, and set to Dysfunctional, yes that is with a capital D. When Faye Donovan arrives from Ireland it doesn’t take long for her outside view to open a few eyes in the Kennedy house to what is happening beyond the public view. You see, image is everything and Alex and James seem to care more about their brand and image than about their teenage boys; Kaden, Keven, Kyler, Kalvin, Keanu, Kent, and Keaton.
When Faye suddenly loses her parents she is whisked to America to live with the cousins she never knew existed. Not only did she never know they existed, but they are filthy rich. Who says money buys happiness? Just ask the Kennedy’s. Finding Kyler revolves a lot around the delicate subject of the underlying attraction of Faye to her cousin Kyler. He isn’t exactly the friendliest to her upon arrival, but she senses a sameness in him that continues to draw her to his side, even when he pushes her away. The forbidden draw sizzles and Siobhan had me tied up in knots just over her excellent writing. I also know she is a writer that always has twists and turns on the reading path, so the taboo subject matter was actually a back burner issue for me, where as the underlying chemistry between Faye and Ky was forefront. Faye also stumbles upon secrets, deception, lies, and lots of betrayal all within a few weeks of arriving. She has a lot on to deal with, besides Ky who seems to run hot and cold.
With Losing Kyler, the two aren’t able to spend time together like they want due to compounding problems within the Kennedy family. Plus, Kalvin has been arrested, Kent is continually angry, and perhaps Keaton’s assessment of Kaden and Keven’s transition to some secret society when you turn eighteen isn’t that far off because Kyler seems to push everyone away more everyday. The family is falling apart, rotting from the inside and Faye feels lost. What is a girl from Ireland, with no family and no friends to do? Plus, she may be getting in to more trouble than she actually signed up for. Something she never saw coming.
I was completely riveted through Losing Kyler and seriously couldn’t wait to read more and more. I had to pace myself to stop from jumping into the third book to find out how it all ends.
Kalvin completely broke my heart in this book and I’m so very happy his story is next after Kyler’s. As much as I loved all the Kennedy boys, I really enjoyed getting to know Kalvin so his story through these books will grip you, I promise.
In Keeping Kyler, many Kennedy secrets come to light right off bat, but there are also many loose ends that keep the story going. Siobhan doesn’t leave us hanging with the emotional twists in this third book, even when we’d like to believe Kyler and Faye should have their HEA or even their HFN.
Remember those mean girls? They are still around. Recall how alone Faye felt? She soon finds there are a lot of people who surround her in love, but are they safe? This third installment will answer so many questions and Siobhan ties everything up I promise. There is also a look ahead into the future for some of the Kennedy siblings and I’m very excited to jump into the next book. I already miss the drama.
Yes, this collection is named after Kyler, but you really learn about all of the Kennedy boys. There is a deep connection between all of the siblings and without reading these three books you don’t get that first glance into their crazy world.
It’s filled with drama, sizzling chemistry, edge of my seat twists and turns, but also angst, and mystery, and oh yeah, drama. That’s okay though, it really did keep me reading until late into the night.
