A Krinar Kindle World NovelWhen Drako’s space pod malfunctions over Johannesburg, his secret reconnaissance mission goes horribly wrong. Wounded in the crash, he’s captured by the South African Secret Service who sees an opportunity to strengthen their army and make a fortune by using the alien pilot in an unorthodox experiment. They send a female to tend to Drako’s injuries, a human girl with … human girl with the pretty name of Ilse who’s sweet and caring. The perfume of her skin is like a drug, her blood an aphrodisiac. He can still smell her and taste her on his tongue. Her betrayal cuts deeper than the testing and torture. No matter. His escape is pending. When he comes back to Earth, it will be to find her, and when he does, he’ll show as little mercy as she did.
These are the events that led to the Krinar Earth Invasion. This is the untold story.

Long before krinars appeared on Earth, a number of experiments and tests were done until they were sure that the planet was fit for krinar life.
One last test needs to be done: if humans are krinar seeds, could they live in coexistence?
Well, to Drako’s misfortune, his space pod had technical problems, he lost his invisibility and ended up crashing in Johannesburg. And the humans got him.
As we already know, humans are suspicious by nature and have treated the alien in the worst possible way, wondering what his intentions were, how his pod worked and his other secrets.
Drako did his best to disguise his origins, but it was not much further when, tired of being electro shocked, he killed a man as who ripped a piece of paper.
BEWARE!!
He was finally immobilized. Injured, the Secret Service guards went after a doctor to take care of his injuries (we’re talking about a South Africa in a crisis, where there were few doctors available and the black drug market ruled, causing important medicine to come out of the market).
In the absence of a doctor, a nurse was taken to the alien.
Ilse was very devoted to her work, and she suffered from seeing patients having to go home without medicine that had disappeared from the black market.
When brought to a “criminal”, she soon realized that the story there was very different from what they had been told. And more, the criminal looked as she had never seen before. Tall, strong, imposing; He had golden eyes … and he was naked.
The attraction to each other was intense, but she knew that that man meant trouble.
Drako was mesmerized by the scent of Ilse. She didn’t look mean like the other men who arrested him, taking care of his wounds and worrying about giving him water.
But that good impression he had of her was for a short time.
Drako soon felt betrayed, but although he managed to escape from that building and was rescued by another Krinar ship, having tasted Ilse’s blood, he felt an unexplained uneasiness (here, the explanation of the effects of human blood on a krinar were not yet fully understood and the effect on him gives an addictive surprise)
He wanted to return to Earth to take revenge on Ilse, but also to have more of her.
Now Ilse was a fugitive from the police of her own country.
Drako could help her; He could give her up as charl to another krinar, or just let her die, to keep the secret of the krinars from being revealed ahead of time.
Of all the options, first of all he wanted to know what the human’s secret was to keep him trapped, and the krinar experiment began…
With each new book on the Krinar world, you need to read the first few pages to catch up on the historical time when everything happens.
In this one, for example, the story of Drake and Ilse happens before the alien invasion. However, as long as you have read the Mia & Korum trilogy, and The Krinar Captive , you can understand all the other stories, and the interactions of krinars with humans, and their romances.
5 stars
What a great addition to the Krinar series of novels. The Krinar Experiment was Charmaine Pauls take on the Krinar world and I have to admit she did it justice. This story though short had a bit of everything. Action, suspense, revenge, torture, romance, and so much more was included to give you a story that will have you hooked until the very end.
The main characters Drako and Ilse were both likable. Ilse was a sweet, kind, hard-working nurse who cared and went out of her way to help other. Drako was an alpha alien who was sent on a reconnaissance mission to earth . However although different, these two had chemistry right from the start and I loved watching how their relationship evolved into throughout the book.
Charmaine gave us alot of description in this novel especially with regard to the Krinar and I really wished it was a bit longer.
Steamy scenes, an interesting storyline and an HEA ending all made this story an awesome read for paranormal and non-paranormal lovers alike.
