A TAVERN WENCH. THE SCARRED KNIGHT WHO CAPTURES HER. Danewyn is nothing more than a tavern wench, or so she pretends. She hides her ability to see into the unknown for fear she’ll be condemned by the village priests. But when she makes a prediction about the Red Fox–the lost prince and rightful heir to Britain’s throne–she’s overheard by one of his knights, putting her in grave danger as a … grave danger as a suspected spy.
Captured and carried off for questioning, she’s held prisoner at the Red Fox’s camp, under the guard of Sir Ferrum, an enormous and badly scarred knight. Sir Ferrum does not hesitate to punish her attempts to flee, but he also reveals a gentleness difficult to reconcile with the harsh discipline. As her feelings for him grow, Dani must decide whether to continue her plans for escape or accept her new role as Sir Ferrum’s lady and Seer to the Red Fox.

Can she see her future
Like all of this author’s books, this one is sure to capture your imagination and take you into a world you won’t want to leave. This world is full of knights, princes and seers. I love the knight, he is just so loyal and really an all around great guy and he knows just how to handle Dani and her sassy nature. I truly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next book by this author.
A TAVERN WENCH. THE SCARRED KNIGHT WHO CAPTURES HER. Danewyn is nothing more than a tavern wench, or so she pretends. Wasn’t my number one favourite of hers, but was still very good.

This book definitely shows how far the author has grown since her earliest works. It’s a quick little read and I enjoyed the story. It’s just missing a little bit of the… flair (?) that can be found in her current books. I loved Ferrum. The only issue I have with him is that he would occasionally punish before explaining what rule had been broken. I’m not so cool with that. I think I understand Dani’s character, but there are some actions that she takes that I just can’t support even if they are important and relevant to the larger story. This book was a fun way to spend an hour.

Book one in the Medieval Discipline series a short well written story that once I started reading I was not putting down until I finished reading. Danewyn is a tavern wench who makes a prediction about the Red Fox and is captured and taken to his camp where Sir Ferrum disciplines her when she does something wrong. I enjoyed reading this book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A Delightful Story of Knights and Kings!!
Danewyn says more than she should in a fit of temper. She normally kept her visions and prescient results to herself, but her “customer” had annoyed her. She quickly finds herself kidnapped by Sir Ferrum and the Seer of the Red Fox.
In a time of medieval battles, the reader is transported back to this brutal time. Great characters and thoroughly entertaining antics.
A terrific read!

“My little flower”…
I don’t usually read “historical romance” but since this was by Ms. Rose, who I love, I decided to give it a try. The story-line was good and I liked Danewyn and Ferrum. I will admit that it was Ms. Rose’s touch of BDSM that made the story great.

3 1/2*
I’ve read a few books from this author now & consider myself a fan. However, I’ve never read an historical romance from her, so this was a new experience. As with all of her books, she brings interesting characters and a well thought out plot. I believe that this is a re-release of an early title, which goes some way towards explaining why it perhaps isn’t up to her usual quality. I did enjoy this story, perhaps a little because of the novelty value, although I really did like Ferrum. Without giving away spoilers, there were a few things in the book which I had issue with, but admit that they did fit into the storyline. Overall, not my favourite from this author, but still a worthwhile read.
Being a lover of Brother Cadfael stories, this was right up my alley.
Usurper kings and rightful heirs, their steadfast friends, skirmishes and raids, and one seemingly “unworthy” woman with a hidden talent.
A well told story with likeable characters.
The only thing I have to doubt; a woman smelling of honeysuckle after a couple nights in a camp of tents in medieval times!? I don’t think so!
Oh and one more thing, I want to know what happened next!
This is a great historical romance! The chemistry between Dani and Sir Ferrum is scorching!
The story is action packed and intriguing and the mystical element just adds to the magic!
Loved it!
Highly recommended!

Beginning the book, it’s started dark. The heroin is the lady of night. And the hero is a scarred Knight. These unperfectness are perfect in the dark ages of the time. No virgin damsel in distress. And no rogue Playboy Lord that just borring for me in historical romance.
A witch, a Knight, a King after his crown. An era where a women only valued were her sexuality. A time where men can take what ever they want with power. A dark time when in punishment a witch who’s force to be lady of the night to survive and the scarred giant Knight find their love.
I like the background in this story. Dark and gloom, something I picture in dark ages.
Love the chemistry between Danewyn and Ferrum. Love how unperfect they are. Love how that unperfectness become their solid bond.
Need more of their steamy times for the spankin are plenty.
Need more kick in the fighting department for the end with Briton feels less dramatic. But at the same time what Danewyn and Ferrum sacrifice to accomplice that time, I feel its solid love
This is a wonderfully written steamy historical story. The plot is an interesting one and the characters are originally enemies but do become lovers over time. This is one of those books that once you start reading it you can’t put it down till it’s finished, so make sure you are comfy before starting to read.

Renee Rose has snagged my heart with this scarred, hard yet gentle beast of a man. I’m not huge into historical but this is just the kind of story to pull me in and bring me back to that time. I loved this!!!
I am not much for the medieval stories but Renee wrote the story so I gave it a chance. I did enjoy the relationship between Danewyn and Ferrum. The relationships in the story could have been more flesh out. I would have liked to see more interaction between the Prince and Ferrum. I really enjoyed Dani’s quick comebacks with the camp soliders. I found myself laughing and wished Ferrum would at least crack a smile, even if just a little smirk. It was nice to see the growth in Renee. I enjoy all her writing and probably will read anything she writes.

Danewyn is in big trouble. She has the gift of sight and can do you ship information she’s not supposed to when she gets flustered or frustrated. This is what happens. She made a ““sight for prediction“ on a fight or a battle that was supposed to happen. Because she gave such information that someone overheard she’s captured and this begin the crazy, steamy, hot sexy escapades that she has with her captor. Does she want out to escape sure she wants to escape. But the attraction between them are so strong it seems like she’s almost trying to get her to get punished to take the relationship a little higher but yet not. You got to read it. If not just for the curiosity of the submissive dominant part of the relationship then the mini evil stuff should catch your attention.
