The power of pleasure…Gabriel Miller took everything from me. My family. My innocence. My home. The only thing I have left is the determination to get back what’s mine.He thinks he’s beaten me. He thinks he’s won. What he doesn’t realize is that every pawn has the chance to become a queen. And the game has only just begun.
OMG!! So freaking good!!! I loved everything about Avery and Gabriel’s story. Their story kept me on the edge of my seat with wanting answers to all of Avery’s questions. There is so much suspense and hotness that kept those pages turning. I absolutely couldn’t get enough of their story. I am so excited that there is more to their story and I can’t wait to get my hands on The Castle.
I highly recommend that you read this book.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
(Cannot be read as a standalone.)
I tried to read this slowly and savor each chapter… but I just ended up plowing through this in one day because I couldn’t put this book down. And now I have to wait… and wait… and wait… for The Castle.
The Knight picks up right after The Pawn. Avery is alone, stranded in a cheap motel with paper thin walls. She’s hit rock bottom…. all because of Gabriel Miller. But the game isn’t over. There are secrets waiting to be revealed, and she’s going to uncover the mystery behind her family’s past.
Gabriel Miller is still the same man. Cold. Ruthless. But even though he took everything away from Avery, he can’t stop thinking about her. Protecting her.
As more players join the board game, things about her mother come to light. And Avery won’t stop until she finds the truth.
Everything about this story is perfect. The sex. The plot. The mystery. And I can’t wait for The Castle.
This book is edgy, and sexy and all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Okay … Um … So …. OMG, I don’t know what to say LOL
WHAT.THE.FUCKERY. run amok!! Let’s start there. I can’t even tell you how many times I said ..”I did NOT just read that” or “FUCK, didn’t see that coming” or my favorite “STOP.IT. my head hurts”
This is an incredibly well played story of tangled proportions. Not a damn thing is what you think it is. So don’t even try. I don’t have more questions now than I did when I began this journey with The Pawn, but I sure as hell have a whole lot of different ones.
I am so ridiculously impressed with the unfolding of this story. It reminds me of the board game Clue, and I was so captivated with every move that came that I read the book in a single afternoon. But then I was speechless. I had no words. And then it dawned on me that there are no words I can give. Why? Because there is a lot going on in this story and every single aspect has to be read with fresh eyes, without any prejudice. I can give you a play by play of what happens to not only Gabriel and Avery but every other person in the book but then you would miss SO MUCH GREATNESS.
I’m not gonna lie, I have a love hate feeling towards Gabriel and Avery makes my eyes side twitch a little but damn if their story is not a force to be reckoned with!
GAH, just invest in this trilogy. I promise it will be worth it. But be aware, it’s twisty ….
A seductive read!
The power of pleasure…
And the game has only just begun…
Once you crack open this book, be prepared to just read and read this book – your concentration will ONLY be on this book. Everything else, all noises and distractions, falls away and this book will be your only lifeline.
Be prepared for heart pounding moments and seductive games.
Full of emotion, angst, drama, intrigue, secrets, betrayal, seduction, manipulation, revenge and love.
Perfect for readers of contemporary romances/dark romances.
Gabriel shows his true colors and Avery learns more about her family than she probably really wanted to know. This novel – gah!- I loved it! The twists, turns and loops. All the pierces are lining up and I cannot wait to dive into The Castle!
The author always pulls me in and leaves me wanting more. This story was no different I need more of Gabriel and Avery. Once I began the story I couldn’t stop the twists and turns making me try and understand how the pieces will fall. Absolutely amazing and highly recommend!! Can’t wait to read the next piece of their story.
I totally enjoy this series. I look forward to reading more from Skye.
Skye Warren’s Endgame series is amazing! I loved the first book and it took me a while til I could get the next books, but so glad I did. I couldn’t put this book down. There was even more of dark characters, revenge, deception, lust, heartache, pleasure, power plays, family loyalty, lies, truths you never wanted to know, romance and some hot sex scenes. Who is real and who is fake? What a ride this has been. A must read people!
The Knights is the continuation of the Endgame series, it gets more intriguing and twisted than before. The knight was when the most important part of the story happened, not only we get to finally understand many things about Gabriel and Avery’s family but also about the past that keeps hunting them and not letting them move forward..
The Knight was everything I expected, it had the angst, the lies, the twist and the whole mess that we were waiting for to finally see what was troubling these two in their lives and past.. we also get to meet a lot of secondary characters that will bring more clues and questions about what is happening around Avery and Gabriel.
“…why did you let me go?” “Ah, little virgin,” he says gently. “So that I could chase you.”
Sooner or later life will show the lies and the back agendas people had to keep and hide things from their own personal interest.
Gabriel is more ruthless and strong in The Knight, he finally has what he needs and he is ready to go to battle and save what his heart loves the most, not caring what he destroys or what happens for him is more important to finally found the truth and save his Pawn.
“That’s the thing about a knight whose armor shines… It’s never been in battle. Never been tested. Tarnished black armor like Gabriel’s-that’s where strength lies. ”
Avery is stronger, wiser and more determined, she no longers feel like her parents were innocent of everything that was happening she finally sees the truth and is ready to fight for what belongs to her and for her love..
The Knight really kept me on the edge at all times, not really knowing where the story was taking us, making us doubt and suspect about everybody but making the story even more enjoyable and even twisted..
looking forward to the final book of this series “The Castle”

The Knight was the second book in Skye Warren’s End Game series. They were written to be enjoyed in order.
I liked Gabriel in book one, The Pawn, but I wasn’t fond of him in the beginning of the Knight. He was all cruelty with no softness. But as the story progressed, Gabriel progressed too.
I loved Warren’s secondary characters. We were blessed with Harper again but also Will and Christopher. And we’re still trying to figure Justin out as well. They all played a role in the ongoing saga.
Warren wrote the plot as a chess game with strategy. But even as the moves progressed, it was suspenseful and hard to see the end game clearly. And as expected from the second book in the trilogy, another twist, more confusion and another cliffhanger. Onward to the conclusion, The Castle.
The twists and turns of this kept me awake at night and eager to read more.
I love this series. Although predictable, this is a page turner and very sensual and sexual. Read the three books in 3 days!

Review:
The story got more interesting and it sure kept my intention but it still felt off between the two main characters. I felt like something was missing, but I don’t know what. It’s frustrating.
I do feel like they like each other but something is not really working for me. It’s that I haven’t seen them interact that much that would show me that they actually fell in love with each other. It almost felt random.
The underlying story is quite good. It really makes me want to rush through these books to see how it will end. I have a feeling but I want to know if I’m right.
Rating:
3 I enjoyed it stars
The Knight is such a wonderful read. Gabriel and Avery are caught in this web of lies and chaos that is the elite Tanglewood society.
Skye Warren writes beautifully woven stories that keep the reader wanting more and more.
Now off to read The Castle!
Not really a dark romance but with elements of darkness. Still the two main characters are endearing. Something about the story draws you in and makes you keep reading.
In my opinion book two in this series is even better than book one
Plenty of plot twists and reveals from Avery’s family history had me intrigued. The relationship and chemistry between Gabriel and Avery deepens in this book and the sex scenes are even hotter. Can’t wait to read book 3
I have apparently read these series out of order, but after reading Pawn I had to check out Knight. What I found was AMAZING! I loved everything about this book, even reading when I was not suppost to (like bed time)!
The characters were amazing and the plot was well thought out. I, myself thought I had it figured out but I was wrong! I am excited to jump right into The Castle and find out how everything ends.
I enjoyed Gabriel and Avery’s story. The love/hate relationship was great. Lots of characters ad a bit of a mystery that isn’t completely uncovered.
This series has me hooked for all eternity!!!
I love the way this author writes, its like reading a poem just so much better !!
The raw emotions of these characters and the way they creep into your heart is something an believable.
Skye Warren has literally hooked me with the way she writes and the emotions of her characters she displays in her books.
From the plot to the end you will be sitting on the edge of your chair and you will definitely feel all the emotions of each character.
Once you start reading there is no turning back because you will be hooked.
