Marshall Dyson wants one thing and one thing only: to raze his grandfather’s island to the ground. Everything is ready to go–except for the freakin’ bunnies! Hundreds of the furry critters hopping about and multiplying before his eyes. And then there’s the American Bunny League, along with one distractingly beautiful veterinarian, taking him to court to save them… Dr. Augusta “Gus” North … North can’t believe the grumpy–and annoyingly hot–builder she’s facing in court cares more about demo-ing some cabin than the lives of 200 bunnies. But when the judge orders Marshall to stay on the island and help her rehome the rabbits–the entire month–she knows they’re going to need to lay some ground rules.
Like, for example, absolutely no kissing. Might as well go ahead and get that in writing. Sure it’s on a napkin, but that still counts.
How hard could it be to keep their hands off each other amidst all the fighting? Surprisingly, harder than wrangling 200 bunnies…

Now this, to me, would classify as a great beach read.
Marshall and Augusta or Gus, start out as enemies over, of all things, bunnies. The bunnies were a great diversion, but look deeper into their journey. A lot of resolving going on for both of them, but they truly get to be friends, to know each other, and assess themselves, with bumps along the way. There is so much anticipated heat on this path because of a napkin, a pen and a silly agreement, maybe not so silly after all! It gave me shivers when Marshall called her “Augusta” mmm, so gravelly! Or I LoL’ed when he called her Goldilocks and she called him Elmer, a ton of inside humor throughout.
Rescuing any species should not be taken lightly and I applaud Ms Andrew’s efforts, fact and fiction mixed, to rehome these wapidly increasing wascally wabbits.
A few times, I do wish Gus would’ve shut her mind off as I understood her dilemma from the start, but still a very good read with a very HEA!
I received an advance reader’s copy thru Netgalley and am giving my voluntary honest opinions without spoilers or lengthy synopsis.
This is one of the best laugh out loud I’ve read in a while. It all starts when a prolific amount of bunnies overtake an island. In court, Augusta states her case of saving the bunnies for adoption. Marshall is ready to develop the island into cottages, but the judge gives Augusta a month to take care of the bunny problem. Her biggest problem is keeping away from Marshall, but he’s persistent in his pursuit. A funny, charming sweetheart with a sexy body who learns to love bunnies and Augusta.
You cannot go wrong with an Amy Andrews book, and The Kissing Contract is a winner! A fun, sexy read that leaves you with a big smile.
Smart, sexy and so snarky. This was an easy to read, feel good book.
The witty banter and sexual chemistry between Gus and Marshall was amazing.
I even found it somewhat educational.
Two people from completely different worlds finding common ground and love…perfection.

The Kissing Contract was a sweet and cute read. I truly enjoyed the characters Marshall and Gus and the secondary characters. They had wonderful chemistry and a slow burn romance. It was a page turner. It was well written and a wonderful storyline. Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, llc for letting me read this story.
I read and reviewed an Advanced Copy of this story. All thoughts and opinions are of my own
The Kissing Contract by Amy Andrews a five-star read that will make you hop. This one will have you daydreaming about lots of bunnies and counting them instead of sheep if you struggle to sleep, especially ones named Thumper and Rambo. Gus is great, she has a real fight to her and a sublime spark, the way she is wrote shows us so many facets of her personality, the professional side that she shows in court and then the compassionate and caring side when dealing with the animals, and I’m not just talking about the bunnies. Marshall is a man of many dilemmas, he wants rid of the island and when you get to know the history you understand why that is, but dilemmas are meant to dealt with and you can’t wait for him to get straight. This was a great story and one I have enjoyed from the first page to the last.
Marshall Dyson wants to demolish the cabin on his grandfather’s island, but is thwarted by the American Bunny League (ABL). Apparently three non-fixed bunnies were put on the island six months ago, and now the island is overrun with rabbits. Dr. Augustus “Gus” North, represents the ABL and is ordered, along with Marshall to work together to humanely get the bunnies off the island in a month. Of course, both Marshall and Gus are insanely attracted to each other, but since Gus is still nursing wounds from her last relationship, she makes them both sign a napkin contract stating that there will be no kissing. As they work together, along with the Bunnyguard volunteers, the rabbit mojo seems to be affecting every one. Gus and Marshall find it more and more difficult to honor the contract. Both Gus and Marshall are very likable characters and I loved that, while they were instantly attracted to each other, it took time to develop an actual relationship. This is a nice, funny read and I hope that the author tell’s Marshall’s brother Jeremy’s story as well. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This was such a cute read and would make an excellent beach read. Marshall wants nothing more than to demolish his uncle’s cabin and build on the island but instead is being dragged into court and being told there are bunnies that need to be trapped first and he and the doctor on the other side nearly set the court on fire with the chemistry between them. When they both show up on the island together they work as a team along with the bunny guard to trap the bunnies. So much banter and sass and bunny one liners along with lots of island activities with the guard. So good!
As sweet as it is sexy, The Kissing Contract has the feel of a small town romance paired with a slow burn that heats up the room. The story follows Marshall, the owner of a construction company who is trying to begin construction on a small island that’s been in his family for years. Unfortunately for him, the island has become overrun by bunnies and he’s been taken to court by a sexy veterinarian, Augusta “Gus,” who wants to remove the bunnies before construction begins. When the court orders that Marshall assist Gus in removing the bunnies over the next four weeks, they are forced to spend a lot of time together. Though there is plenty of chemistry between them, Gus wants to avoid having a fling because she is used to men focusing on her bombshell appearance and she’s cautious about who she gets involved with. They come to an agreement not to kiss or have sex for the duration of their stay on the island, but it’s difficult to fight the sizzling attraction between them.
There’s a lot to like about the book – I appreciated that the characters were a little older (34), so they acknowledged that while they are attracted to each other, they don’t have to be ruled by that. Don’t get me wrong, while this is a slow burn there is a LOT of sexual tension throughout the book and near-constant references to their attraction. They’re both likeable characters, and it was nice to have a hero whose biggest issue is being a serial monogamist (he’s been engaged 3 times). It’s a totally realistic and interesting read – the only thing that holds it back from being 5 stars for me is the writing style itself. It’s hard to describe, but it felt a little formal and there was a lot of focus on the bunny stuff. That’s just a personal preference though, and not a major issue. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I appreciated the opportunity to try out a book from this author.
For me the best slow-burn romance that I ever read. This is a good example that every page doesn’t need to have most of the pages written about sex. Sweet, funny, furry love romance with a little bit of family drama and a lot of anticipation. Both Marshall and Gus are great characters easy to love. They make a beautiful couple and their chemistry is off the hook. I loved every written page and I enjoyed reading it.
Great story, recommended.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
This sweet romance is funny, witty, and so entertaining. Just what you expect from an Amy Andrews book. There are also tug at your heart themes with the characters. A great summer read.
Loved this fun, sexy, exciting and action packed romantic journey filled with fun witty banter, adorably addicting charters, emotionally thrilling twists and exciting passion. These two made me laugh, cry and cheer, I so hope his brother is the next fall. Great reading!
4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time putting this book down. It had a great sense of humor and I was chuckling a lot while I reading this book. The characters were awesome. I loved the banter between Marshall and Gus. This book also delivered on the heart and feels. Marshall’s past broke my heart, but I loved how he created a new perception of the island. Marshall holding the bunnies yeah Gus is right ovary bursting for sure. I loved the whole bunny rescue portion of the book. It was rather intriguing operation. This is another winner by Amy Andrews and a book I highly recommend.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This book was hilarious is spots when I just cracked up out loud. I especially loved the sayings on Augusta’s (Gus) clothing. I loved Marshall and his innuendos. Gus on the other hand was a bit self-centered. I also couldn’t understand as to why it would take 4 weeks to clear the island of bunnies. I realize that it is just a story but it seemed a little unrealistic to me.
The book was slow at times almost to the point where I really wanted to skip parts. It really seemed like sections were just repeating themselves. I felt the book could have either been shorter or the when the ending was finally here to actually draw that portion out a little bit.
I was grateful for the book being written in a dual POV format. This book should only be read by someone over the age of 18 due to the sexual nature in places.
I am giving 4 stars instead of 3 because there were some really great parts to this story.
This book was totally WILD!! One veterinarian trying to save hundreds of bunnies and one builder determined to level the island they are inhabiting. I knew from the blurb that this was going to be an insane ride and it definitely was. I loved the banter in this book so much. Marshall and Gus are totally at odds and not looking forward to working with each other to eradicate the bunny problem but being forced by court order to do just that just increased their animosity. The chemistry between Marshall and Gus was instantaneous and completely off the charts. There’s a thin line between love and hate and these two straddled it for a long time. There were so many great characters and so much hilarity in this story that I couldn’t put it down. There were definitely some weird word choices that I just couldn’t seem to get over so I had to drop a star from this otherwise fantastic book.
Loved this charming fun story so much! It’s fun, sassy & flirty and I think you’ll fall in love with Marshall and Gus (Augusta) as I did and of course there are lots of cute bunnies that will rope you in immediately. The easy banter between Marshall and Gus is entertaining as is the slow sizzle that flares to life. With a storyline that could have quickly gotten silly, Ms. Andrews did a fantastic job of giving us the humor while keeping the story moving and believable. I think everyone will enjoy this one and I highly recommend it.
The Kissing Contract was pure fun to read! This one had cute bunnies, a forced proximity plot and two really marvelous characters in the form of Gus, Marshall, Rambo and Thumper. I loved the interaction between Gus aka Augusta North and Marshall Dyson, they just had the right balance of witty banter, sweet and sexy encounters and a fantastic progression with their romance. The Kissing Contract is just the exact thing Rom Com readers would love!
The Kissing Contract is my first introduction to Amy Andrews’ books. I found it to be a fun and entertaining read. I enjoyed Gus and Marshall’s story. They had great chemistry. There were some moments that I could not help but to laugh out loud. The plot was quite unique and refreshing to me. Throw in a bunch of adorable bunny rabbits, I could not help but to keep reading.
I give The Kissing Contract four stars. I look forward to see where else the imagination of Miss Andrews will take her readers to next.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Amy Andrews does it again with a funny, sweet yet sexy book that will have you laughing out load one moment and swooning the next. And there’s a kissing contract so there’s that… LOL!
Ohmigosh! I loved how absolutely crazy this plot was! And oh man…the chemistry between Marshall & Gus was INTENSE! I’m new to Amy Andrews and she’s definitely won me over!!!
