Marshall Dyson wants one thing and one thing only: to raze his grandfather’s island to the ground. Everything is ready to go–except for the freakin’ bunnies! Hundreds of the furry critters hopping about and multiplying before his eyes. And then there’s the American Bunny League, along with one distractingly beautiful veterinarian, taking him to court to save them… Dr. Augusta “Gus” North … North can’t believe the grumpy–and annoyingly hot–builder she’s facing in court cares more about demo-ing some cabin than the lives of 200 bunnies. But when the judge orders Marshall to stay on the island and help her rehome the rabbits–the entire month–she knows they’re going to need to lay some ground rules.
Like, for example, absolutely no kissing. Might as well go ahead and get that in writing. Sure it’s on a napkin, but that still counts.
How hard could it be to keep their hands off each other amidst all the fighting? Surprisingly, harder than wrangling 200 bunnies…

I love this book! A laugh out loud so hard you cry & have people looking at you like you’re crazy if you’re in a public place kind of story! Full of steam, funny t-shirts with bunny sayings across the front, sex like bunnies for a month by wabbit wescue volunteers, and a no kissing contract between Marshall and Gus that keeps you hanging by a thread, wondering whether they’ll break it or not. Oh, and let’s not forget poor Thumper, one of the ugliest rabbits on earth that can’t find a home. Poor sweet Thumper. I couldn’t put it down! The Kissing Contract is my introduction to Amy Andrews and I love her her style!
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Amara Publishing for approving a copy of this book for review.
My review is my opinion alone.
This is a hilarious story. Augusta and Marshal meet in a courtroom for the first time as adversaries. They however find themselves being forced to work together for weeks in close quarters. The author takes us on a hilarious jaunt as these two and the other characters round up bunnies on a small island. The banter is witty and awesome as they see who can outlast the ridiculous contract they have signed.
The Kissing Contract was a fun, light, easy read. This was my first Amy Andrews novel and I enjoyed it. This unusual storyline was amusing and imaginative and much more than I expected. This was a slow burn romance but the chemistry between Marshall and Gus was simmering throughout the story. Both flawed, complex characters, I loved the banter between them. This enemies to lovers novel will evoke a range of emotions from you as the story progresses but the laugh out loud moments will have you entertained.
The Kissing Contract was a enjoyable well-written tale and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of Romantic Comedies.
This LOL story will stay with you. Marshall has his hands full when a judge orders him to help Gus round up bunnies. They are attracted to each other but are fighting their feelings and a contract won’t help. When it is all said and done will these two walk away with their hearts in one piece? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Cute, sweet, funny, hot, and touching
I’ve been a fan of this author for a while, starting with her Sydney Smoke rugby series, but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by her so far. Listed as a Wrong Side of the Tracks novel, I’m assuming this is the first in a new series. It certainly reads as a standalone, but I’m hoping there will be at least one more story in the series (more on that in a bit).
An enemies to lovers story (one of my favorite tropes), this was a fun setup. I really liked both Marshall and Augusta (Gus) right from the start: as a gardener, I could totally understand Marshall and his need to remove the bunnies from his project as quickly as possible, while as a pet owner, I understood Gus and her need to make sure the bunnies weren’t hurt. There’s a lot of humor (Gus explaining the math of bunny reproduction, or about neutering the male rabbits immediately comes to mind) and heat, but there are touching moments as well. Both Marshall and Gus have issues in their pasts they need to work through, and I hurt for each of them as the details came to light. The contract of the title was Gus’s way of protecting herself, and I loved the push and pull of this slow burn story as a relationship developed in spite of the obstacles in their way.
The story really centers around Marshall and Gus, but there are a few other secondary characters around. Besides the Bunnyguard (love that name, lol), Marshall’s brother, Jeremy, was an intriguing secondary character, and I’m hoping we get his story as well.
An entertaining, engaging read that’s cute, sweet, funny, hot, and touching. Really, this story has it all. 5+ stars

This right here is my kind of read. It is the most entertaining book I have ever read. Yes, it is that good. I spent half of the time reading this book laughing and the other half, squirming in my seat. It made me cry, it filled me up and left me unbelievably happy. This Enemies to Lovers trope is one of my favorite tropes and this one was simply fantastic! It was one of those books I picked up and pretty much didn’t put back down until it was over, because I was so hooked. But that is what Amy Andrews’ books tend to do to me. I am so glad that I found her stories….
I loved these characters, they were such fantastic characters, so full and rich with goodness and so attracted to one another. Their interactions were so full of sass, romance, and underlying passion as well as panty melting chemistry. I could feel their attraction and loved their heat. I thought Marshall was the sweetest man, thoughtful, and caring and oh so sexy! Loved Augusta “Gus” and how she tried to keep her walls up, so independent and fierce with such a soft heart inside. Her outfits and the sayings on them were to die for and so clever.
This story was so hot, funny, sweet, and romantic. It left me with a smile on my face and joy in my heart, as well as being a new bunny lover for giving us this Epically Amazing book. LOL! LOVED IT!!!!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was such a fun, sweet, sexy entertaining read and who would have thought relocating bunnies could be so much fun !!!
Marshall owns a construction company and he is desperate to start tearing down his late grandfathers house on an island retreat that he wants to turn to a fun escape for under privileged children but he first has to get past the American Bunny League who are insisting on rescuing two escaped bunnies currently residing in the island. A judge decides Marshall needs to work with veterinarian Gus as she develops the Bunny census and organises the tracking and capturing of what’s now 200+ bunnies……
Sparks fly between this couple, the attraction is instant, the chemistry sizzling but Gus is wary of all men since her last boyfriend cheated on her, so can Marshall wear her down and get past her contract of No Kissing for the month they are spending together on the island guess you need to read the book to find that out ….
This book was such a fun entertaining read, I had so many laugh out loud moments, the characters are adorable and the banter flows so naturally. If you are looking for a book you won’t be able to put down look no further than The Kissing Contract. Can’t wait to see what’s next from this very talented author. Great read.
Another winner from Amy Andrews! Her books have the perfect amount of humor and heat, and this one is no exception.
With a grin on my face and a smile in my heart, I gave myself over to the force that is Amy Andrews and lost my head in the process. Marshall and Gus are at odds over an island. For Marshall it holds painful memories. For veterinarian, Dr. Augusta (Gus) North it’s home for over 200 adorable bunnies. Can a court order and a mischievous, yet cuddly group of rabbits, spell the beginning of an ever after kind of love for two stubborn hearts? Hold on to your hearts cause The Kissing Contract, just may steal them away.
I just adore Amy Andrews’ books and The Kissing Contract is another great one!!!
This is a well written story which is humorous, romantic, entertaining, with witty banter and love. Marshall and Augusta / Gus, are a perfect match for each other, with instant chemistry, and a few obstacles to overcome on the way to healing and being together. I recommend this for all readers.
It’s another winner from Amy Andrews! I love how her characters are human and have flaws. It makes it so much easier to root for a couple to recognize their feelings for each other. Then again, not every couple has a few hundred bunnies to deal with while they sort their feelings out. The premise was unique, and I loved the humor that tied into the plot catalyst of the bunnies. As always, the sexy times were ohhh, so hot! I’ll never look at a jetty the same way again. For more thoughts on this one, visit my blog at Fireflies and Free Kicks Fiction Reviews. Marshall Dyson and Augusta/Gus North meet when Marshall , a builder who is ready to work on an island project, is forced to go to court when Gus, a veterinarian representing the American Bunny League, is there to stop his project. The reason, there are over 200 bunnies on the island that need to be caught and given new homes. Needless to say that even though the chemistry is instantaneous, neither is happy with the other one. When the judge forces them to work together on the island, they decide to make a contract. No kissing or sex during the weeks they are working together.
Aside from that storyline, it’s a story about family or lack thereof. Of how sometimes those who are suppose to love you, instead destroy you emotionally and sometimes the damage is felt for the rest of ones life.
For me it was more of a 3.5 star story. At times it dragged and though I loved Marshall, Gus was just ok.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Bunny rabbits. I love them. So too does Dr Augusta ‘Gus’ North, after all she’s the vet for the American Bunny League ‘ABL’. Marshall Dyson knows nothing about rabbits, except they’re preventing him from doing his job, all 200 of them, running wild around his island. When a judge decides that Marshall must reside on the island with Gus for one month whilst assisting the ABL in catching and removing the bunnies, well he got more than he bargained for. I loved Marshall, he was straight up, say it as it is, with a side of sexy. He was committed, caring, and the vision of him shirtless with a giant bunny on his chest will stay with me for a long time. Gus I found to be slightly annoying at times, and I think she lied to herself, why she denied her feelings was frustrating (yes maybe I was a little jealous, but stop blowing hot and cold girl). A slow burn that felt a little rushed towards the end. That said it all worked for me. I ate up every word. A wonderful story, well written with some fun supporting characters. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

With such an outrageous premise, I wouldn’t have touched this book if it hadn’t been written by Amy Andrews. I know I can trust her intelligence and that she will not fall prey to the pitfalls of the genre. In the hands of a lesser writer, this romcom could have devolved into a ridiculous and preposterous farce. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how it will go, but it’s how we get there that makes all the difference, and this is where Ms.Andrews’ skills shine.
THE KISSING CONTRACT is original and clever, and much of the first third is truly side-splitting. Trust Amy Andrews to write a charming, sexy, and sweet story based on wrangling bunnies! Even more surprising, where I’m concerned, is that the segments with the bunnies were wildly entertaining, and that they were essential in advancing the plot. The writing is effortless and smooth, as the author navigates calm seas and tempestuous waters with the same ease: snarky banter and emotional exchanges are equally compelling and genuine. Gus and Marshall are technically enemies, but in fact they get along well; the banter is lighthearted teasing rather than hurtful barbs. I also appreciated that their voices are as distinctive as their personalities, even if the book is written in third person POV. There were a few typos, which I hope will be caught before the final version is published, particularly this one: “Accept clearly not”, which had me scratching my head for a moment; it should be “Except clearly not”.
THE KISSING CONTRACT is a slow burn, maybe a little too slow. With all the buildup, I felt the “big moment” was anticlimactic and not the romantic scene I expected. Gus’ concerns were legitimate, Marshall needed to deal with his issues, and I was somewhat disappointed that this was handled mostly off-page. In the end, especially with regard to an element in the epilogue, I wasn’t convinced that Marshall, as adorable as he was, was a sure thing for the long haul, judging from what I saw, not what I was told.
Ok so I started reading this book and read this sentence “if he’d known vets looked like this, he’d have gotten that dog he’d promised himself years ago and gone all Munchausen’s on it’s ass”, man I cracked up and got excited I mean after reading that sentence I just knew that the rest of the book would be hilarious, damn was I wrong. I was so disappointed, why? well it had potential but it wasn’t funny. And even thought I liked Marshall I wasn’t crazy about Gus. The book had way to much words, that is the only thing that I can think of, sorry but to me had useless information that could have been avoided and maybe the book would have been better. I couldn’t understand how they could have fallen in love, again why? well yes they spent time together but it was working or Gus claiming over and over that they could not act on their attraction she has a very high opinion on herself, I get that she was supposedly a beautiful woman and her body was apparently perfection and she was used to people commenting on that, I get it but I was annoyed with it and I also got that she was heartbroken but again to feel the way she did wanted me to get over it. I couldn’t understand what Marshall was attracted to besides her beauty and body and ok I will give her her work ethic, but that was it..So for them to avoid intimacy the whole book except the chapter before the end, after their one bam thank you maam and then they were in love and ready for marriage,,,huh how in the hell did we get there..not bad enough for a 2 star but def not more than a three and that was pushing it..but all in all my nosy ass want to know what is going to happen to Jeremy.
