Jane and Eric de Vries.Often enemies. Sometimes lovers. Husband and wife. Or are we?I wore the dress. We said the vows. And somehow it became more than just a stunt to collect his billions. A promise bound by love, not hate. Until he humiliated me in front of all of New York and disappeared. Now my errant husband has returned, and it’s like I never existed. Except when he looks at me like he … existed.
Except when he looks at me like he wants to rip my dress from my body.
Something’s holding him back. And I won’t rest until I discover its cause.
See, this wild heir is about to find out: karma’s a fickle mistress.
My weapons? Batting eyelashes, high heels, and that red lipstick he can’t resist.
I’ll break down his mask, little by little. And then I’ll make him pay for what he did.
I just need to keep my heart in check while I do it.

I seriously think Nicole French’s books just keep getting better and better!!! Reading her books is like an emotional rollercoaster! You’ll laugh, cry, get angry, and fall in love so HARD with these characters! Jane and Eric are by far the craziest most loving couple to read about! Jane is witty, smartass, brave and loves with all her heart and soul, and Eric, he’s not your typical playboy. He loves Jane with EVERYTHING he has, and he’ll do anything possible to protect her, including pushing her away. This book is filled with so much love and angst, and danger, you never know what’s coming next! I highly recommend reading this series!! Even though this ends in a cliffy,,,, it’s SO WORTH IT!!!!!
EEP!! I was so excited for this one! I LOVED The Hate Vow, but The Kiss Plot was superb! JUST AMAZING!! It was truly everything I wanted and needed it to be! LOVED!!
Mind. Blown. It’s a trilogy so you’ve got to prepare for a cliff hanger, right? But even then, my mind cannot grasp the rabbit hole I’ve just gone down. There aren’t words that describe how good this book is. If there wasn’t another book, if there was no conclusion coming, I’d still be holding this book to my chest thinking, Damn this was a good book! Just so good. *I was given an ARC in exchanges for an honest review* If you’ve not started with the Spitfire series, you’re missing out. That’s what sucked me in, and the constant delights keep me coming back. I cannot love this book hard enough.
Wow, I didn’t think that the second book of the “Quicksilver” series could be as good as the first book, the “Hate Vow” but OMG, the author hit it out of the ballpark with this book! The plot continues to be well written and well planned and the characters were written with great depth that I remained totally captivated as I turned each and every page of this must read book!
A roller coaster of awesomeness! Omg! Nicole truly amazes me! The story of Jane and Eric continues on and you will go thoroughly enjoy the passion, suspense, humor and perfection in book 2! I can’t wait for the next book!!!
Nicole French has turned my mind into a chaotic, puzzled and breathless mess. The Kiss Plot started from the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers at the end of The Hate Vow. And this story is even more complex, more intense and more passionate. I lost myself in the mysterious, thrilling and sensual world of Eric and Jane. It was unputdownable and brilliant.
I have a woman crush. On Jane. This half Korean kickass lawyer with her fiery sass and non negotiable loyalty has awed me at every turn. She is strong and independent and smart and proud . But her heart is the pure gold. She stood by Eric’s side and refused to back down even when Eric tried to push her away in a cruel and callous way.
And Eric is a perfect man with all his vulnerability, doubt and uber protective self. He is the picture of regal confidence and calm power outside. But the adversity and storm in his life is wrecking his from inside. The chemistry between these two beautifully broken souls was explosive, exceptional, soulnumbing and something that transcends time, place, society and terror.
The story line was simply amazing. I had a hard time catching with the secrets, the adventures and the threats. It was complicated with layers of secret society, business games, family inheritance, conspiracies and real world dangers. And in middle of all this, Eric and Jane’s love bloomed and burnt. They both need each other. And they are no longer running or hiding. Rather they stand tall as partners. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat with racing heart and sweating palms.
Nicole French has created the web of truth, lies, passion and love in The Kiss Plot. The story was full of unexpected twists and turns. The author did a sensational job of creating a love story with thrilling elements of mystery. I have only one complaint. How the hell I am supposed to wait for the last book of the trilogy?
Received ARC for Honest Review
The Kiss Plot picks up from where The Hate Vow left us and things are not looking great for Jane and Eric. I loved Jane in this instalment. Her determination and strength of character really shine in this book and coupled with her witty humour she’s easy to like. Eric shows a softer more vulnerable side that I couldn’t get enough of. Determined to keep Jane safe no matter what he knows what he needs to do. Stubborn Jane has other ideas though and she’s not going to make any of it easy for Eric.
This story has got me hooked. The angst, humour, suspense, not to mention the sexual chemistry between the two main characters had me unwillingly to put my kindle down. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Jane and Eric and I will be cheering them on right until the end.
This book was sooooo good, I think I need a bottle of vodka! I read the first book in the series and instantly fell for Jane. She is such a badass and I loved everything about her. The Kiss Plot kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I couldn’t put the book down. This book had me staying up till a ridiculous time which hasn’t happened in a while. Jane had Eric’s back despite how he left things in the first book. The sexual frustration and chemistry between Jane and Eric was hot af. I’m looking forward to the next book. Book 3 cannot come soon enough!
I absolutely cannot get enough of Jane and Eric! Their story is epic and no one could write it like Nicole French. Secrets, lies, manipulations, and emotions galore weave their way around Jane and Eric from beginning to end. Their usual vitriolic, yet loving, banter remains, leading to some very interesting situations.
Are they married, or not? Where is Eric? These are the questions that plague Jane after Eric ups and leaves their wedding, disappearing for a time. When he finally returns, he is a changed man. Gone is the man who looked at her heatedly, lovingly. He is cold and dismissive, not willing to divulge where he was.
But Jane’s stubborn and willful nature will not accept that the real Eric isn’t waiting below the surface of the man who returned. She will do whatever it takes to get her Eric back.
Jane’s tenacity in the face of Eric’s newfound nervousness and caution lead to some secrets being revealed, while others still remain in shadow.
Jane and Eric have to work as a team to get to the bottom of what John Carson and Janus are really after. But with Carson throwing up roadblocks at every turn, their relationship balances on a knife’s edge. To keep one another safe, they have to remain apart. Or do they?
Nicole French you have done it again!! You nailed the hot and sexy, mystery and suspense and best of all Eric and Jane!! I just love everything about these two, even when they push all my buttons!! I love the direction and roller coaster ride this book took me on and can’t wait to see what happens next!
Just an all encompassing great book! This author is constantly keeping readers hooked with all the mystery and suspense as Jane and Eric are trying their hardest to continue their journey. They are increasingly perfect for each other and once they realize that they will be able to face whatever is coming for them in the next book. I love the way this author incorporates locations into her stories. I feel like I’m right there with the characters and its truly masterful storytelling. Can’t wait until the conclusion, so many questions still remain! I can’t say enough good things about this book, it needs to be on everyone’s shelves
A filthy rich family, sinister characters and a love story like no other, the Quicksilver series has it all.
The Kiss Plot follows on from the events in book one, The Hate Vow. You MUST read book one before starting this one. Nicole French does a great job of catching you up with events without being repetitive. I slipped back into the lives of Eric and Jane immediately.
Oh my, Eric!!! It is so frustrating how he finds his love, but he feels he has to protect her by pushing her away. I felt his torment. Jane is so outwardly confident and vibrant, but she is human and often doubts herself. I love how she sees through Eric’s act and stubbornly persists with pushing his buttons. She fights for their love.
The tension and intrigue coupled with the banter and sexy times make Kiss Plot a really entertaining read. What will be the outcome for this pair? I hope they get a HEA in the final instalment.
To say I was excited to start this book is a joke. I’ve been dying to see what happens next for Eric and Jane. It was everything I wanted and expected it to be. We’re one step closer to the HEA these two deserve. Their relationship is not an easy one with secrets swirling around them but it was so good to see them as a united front when fighting a common enemy.
This series is a great read with dynamic relationships, secrets everywhere you look and wishes that are begging to be heard.
I can’t wait to see what happens next…is it September yet???

We pick up the story where The Hate Vow left off. Jane and Eric are caught up in a very tangled web of intrigue and danger. Jane shows so much strength while still giving the witty one liners I loved. Seeing Eric show his vulnerable side brought a new element to the story. Just when you think there’s no more plot twists boom Daddy dearest appears again. I’ve no idea what’s going to happen next but I can’t wait to find out.

Whoa whoa whoa! *deep breath* Ok, I think I’m good now. Maybe. *whew* So about this book…everything. The Kiss Plot was EVERYTHING! I feel like I have been ripped apart, put back together, loved, and then told to “wait”. Wait?! Really?? NOW?? Yes. But I do it because I know that it will be well worth the wait. I am not one for cliffhangers and generally tend to wait until the entire series is done so I don’t have to wait to get some relief but I will always wait for Ms. French! She knows how to give you just enough but still dying for that last drop of water.
This story is sooo much more than a romance! Nicole French hits the mark in this second installment of the Quicksilver Trilogy by slowly developing not only the love story between two popular characters but also feeding piece by piece the twisting sub story that has little to do with love and much to do with intrigue and manipulation. This is not the first series Nicole has used such an extensive subplot, but this time her writing is more mature, measured and masterful. By weaving the love story and it’s steamy scenes together with the intrigue of a large corporation, an old money family, and a secret society the story keeps moving and holds the reader’s attention until the very end. As always, the main characters are well developed and easy to love while the supporting characters are interesting and often multidimensional. While this book does have its own cliffhanger and continues the development of Eric and Jane’s relationship, several story arcs from the first book are concluded and the reader leaves the book both satisfied with where the story is currently and anxious for the final installment.
Nicole French kicked this book out of the ballpark 10 times over!! I really hate cliffhangers right now, I want more NOW!!
Eric and Jane have this sick kind of relationship but it works for them in more ways than one but what they don’t know is John Carson is one sick mother mofo, he will do anything to keep them apart!!
What will happen to Jane and Eric, if they don’t get one step ahead of him?
Will they get their happily ever after?
Love/hate
Desire/Revenge
This story contains all of these strong emotions. As it picks up from the wedding, Eric and Jane embark on a dance for differing emotions and both face the same puppet master. Both love to hate each other while silently, they are purged into their own silent despair. As they acknowledge their underlying love for each other they morph into a team that is them against the world.
At times I wanted to shake the both of them to knock some sense into them. The depth of emotions and honestly made me want to weep along with them and made want to cheer with the highs. I can’t help but want to see how this story ends but I am hoping that they will be kicking butt to get there. True love shouldn’t be that hard.
The Kiss Plot was definitely kiss book-worthy. All of the emotions you could possibly undertake while reading a book has been captured in this book. Especially the importance of how a kiss can be so intimate (something I wish my husband would remember). The Kiss Plot does pick up right after The Hate Vow so I would suggest reading The Hate Vow first. You probably could get away with reading The Kiss Plot as a standalone but you might be confused on certain issues or the emotions won’t be as strong because you didn’t get to witness the relationship evolve.
The Kiss Plot has witty banter, sexiness, mystery, and increasing angst written throughout the pages. The angst level was definitely cranked up two levels since The Hate Vow. The writing was solid. The story line kept a solid pace and kept you wanting to read more each chapter. The characters developed but then back tracked and then developed again. It was a bit back and forth but as humans, it happens.
The story line of this series is completely mind-boggling. It’s interesting and full of emotion. And the way it ended?! I can’t wait for book #3! Bring it on!
The Kiss Plot picks up right where The Hate Vow left us. If you haven’t read that take a step back and read that first or you will be lost in the dark without a flashlight! This part of Jane and Eric’s story is less focused on them as a couple and more focused on what is going on in their lives. We know that they love each other. They may argue like barking wolves but under all of that they love and need each other so why is the world so dead set on keeping them apart? A lot of those questions are going to be answered but they will create different questions. What Jane and Eric need to learn is that they are stronger together than they are apart and that is something that is going to take these two strong willed individuals awhile to accept. I really enjoy these two together. Jane’s sharp witted banter and Eric’s cool controlling aloofness are the perfect blend in this twisty romance. I am so looking forward to the finale of their story and I am sure that it is going to be loaded with surprises just as this book was. As was the first book, it’s told from dual POV but primarily from Jane’s POV. It’s full of banter, F bombs, lust, love and just the right amount of angst.
