Jane and Eric de Vries.Often enemies. Sometimes lovers. Husband and wife. Or are we?I wore the dress. We said the vows. And somehow it became more than just a stunt to collect his billions. A promise bound by love, not hate. Until he humiliated me in front of all of New York and disappeared. Now my errant husband has returned, and it’s like I never existed. Except when he looks at me like he … existed.
Except when he looks at me like he wants to rip my dress from my body.
Something’s holding him back. And I won’t rest until I discover its cause.
See, this wild heir is about to find out: karma’s a fickle mistress.
My weapons? Batting eyelashes, high heels, and that red lipstick he can’t resist.
I’ll break down his mask, little by little. And then I’ll make him pay for what he did.
I just need to keep my heart in check while I do it.

I honestly don’t know why I keep reading these books from Nicole French. I sit down and get comfy, stare lovingly at the cover, and then BOOM! Day has turned into night, I think I may be hungry, and I’m reading the last page…??
THEN I SIT IN ASTONISHMENT.
Dang it. I was sucked in her rabbit hole again!!
Ok. Ok. Let’s be honest. If you have been following my reviews, we all know that I adore all the words from Nicole French. I was just throwing a tantrum because The Kiss Plot has completely made us readers go sideways with the suspense of trying to find out the webs that are weaved around Eric’s life.
And that’s the one thing you must always keep in mind when reading a book from Nicole French; you think you’re getting one type of story then all the sudden the world shifts and you’re in deep in another flawlessly seamed plot twist!!
So where the The Hate Vow leaves off at the alter, The Kiss Plot begins as the doors close and the secret society is trying to get their dues.
While reading I’ve been through angst, have laughed, fanned myself in the sexiness of it all, had my heart burst in love, and have been chewing my nails from being suspended in the suspense pool.
Eric is in deep.
Jane is out for blood.
And I just don’t know what way book 3 is going to go!
Either way I’m strapped in and ready to go! Hurry up
Summer!
I need to know the end!!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Now that they have finally declared their love for each other and gotten the approval of his grandmother everything goes to hell in a hand basket at the wedding. This time it’s not their brand of “crazy” that’s the topic it’s her father which of course means all of the secrets and lies are about to come out. This time it’s a cat and mouse game for their lives. I love this and no I didn’t see this route coming but this is definitely a twist this author will play out with ease. There’s so many things to weed through with all of the twist I am not surprised this has gone on for two books and now into a third. This is a series that needs to be read in order. Not only for the story but to understand how much and what these two have gone through to get their hea. Yes their passion is off the charts but so is their story. Now all I can do is wait, impatiently for what this author will do to us next. A prediction?? Never. As soon as you think you know where’s she’s going she does a spinner. It’s an amazing roller coaster thrill that you wont want to stop. While it’s a long read it by no means is boring. Awesome stuff!!
4.5 stars
Either Nicole French is mean or I’m a pirate! I just yelled “aaaaargh” and tried to throw my kindle. However, in my defense I did just reach the end…for now because as we all know this is only book 2 of the trilogy. Gaaaaaahhhhh! Still trying not to throw my kindle but it might slip one of these times.
The Kiss Plot starts off where The Hate Vow ended- in chaotic despair. be careful because attachments and feels are unavoidable. I think my favorite part of this trilogy is Jane’s unlimited spunk. She is feiry, wicked, and sharp witted. I love her personality 110%. She has a “no [sh]ucks given” attitude that she wears like armor but she’s actually a bit marshmallow-y. And boy does her feisty come out and play in the big leagues!
The Kiss Plot is a train wreck of epic proportions. You can’t stop watvhinf, you can’t actually help, but you are invested because you are witnessing the horrific outcome. Everything you want, need, and hope for is going to be taken advantage of in The Kiss Plot. Every hope and goal for this dynamic duo of contrasting images is twisted, torn, and frayed. All of it will be tested; not all will make it through the wringer.
My suggestion is stock up on mood enhancing treats. You are going to need them when Janus comes calling. Simple pleasures are not to be taken for granted….trust me!

THE KISS PLOT is the second instalment in Nicole French’s contemporary, adult QUICKSILVER erotic, romance trilogy focusing on newlyweds attorney and billionaire heir to the De Vries Dynasty Eric de Vries, and attorney Jane Lee Lefferts-de Vries. THE KISS PLOT should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one THE HATE VOW.
Told from first person perspective (Jane) and third person (Eric) THE KISS PLOT follows in the aftermath and fall-out of Jane and Eric’s wedding, a wedding stunt manipulated by the family matriarch, meant to secure Eric’s future within company, but a wedding crashed by a secret society intent on controlling the de Vries’ dynasty. What ensues is Eric’s battle to protect the woman he loves, as he tries to navigate the threat to his life, and the life of our story line heroine.
THE KISS PLOT is a story of power and control; a look at the oligarchy of big business, the circulation of elites, and the political machine; and one family as they battle to secure their freedom from the people in charge. Nicole French pulls the reader into an emotional, heart breaking and disturbing look at two hundred years of domination, influence, and threats by a secretive sect determined to control the world.
Well damn, I think Nicole French has just been bumped to one of my top reads of the year.
This author is fairly knew to me, having only read The Hate Vow, and being left on that freaking cliffhanger! I was eager as hell to get this! I have a love and hate relationship with cliffys!
I hate to love them, and love to hate them. If me a decent cligghanger and I will love and hate you all in one and Ms French did just that, and she kept me on my toes as I started reading The Kiss Plot.
I’m so smitten with Jane and Eric and their relationship. Their highs, their lows, and their in between.. We get more of the story between Jane and Eric in this book and what started out as a way for Eric to get his money from his family that he is suppose to inherit and Jane having a secure place to stay, quickly turns into so much more. The love and chemistry between these two was intense and could be cut with a knife. They really are two totally different people yet their banter and the way they bounce off each other is incredible. In parts I was laughing and in other parts I was ready to cry and scream and throw my kindle at the wall.
And again, that freaking ending… What are you trying to do to me, Ms. French? Gah!
All in all, this book was just as good as the first one, and that something that isn’t always the case with some authors. It is truly captivating, addictive, intense and hot as hell!
A MUST READ and I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!
So many problems plagued their relationship. They just need to trust each other to overcome it all.
Eric de Vries is filled with regret that he never told Jane about so many things … like Janus. Lines were crossed when Eric flouted orders to stay away from Jane and he paid the price. Ten days in that dungeon. Alone.
Hurting. Eric will do almost anything to avoid a repeat of that and will do everything to avoid Jane receiving the same fate but will she be willing to listen to him? Note: this story ends on a cliffhanger.
The Kiss Plot has enough mystery, suspense, angst and steam to make this a story you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait to read The Love Trap, Book 3 of the Quicksilver Trilogy.
Eric and Jane tried to deny it but they are in love. They now have an outside force trying to keep them apart. They need to decide to stay or run. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Book ends on a cliffhanger Book 3 The Love Trap is out.
Very absorbing read. Book #2 of a Trilogy with cliffhanger ending.
Well edited.
Back in Book #1
Eric and Jane met in law school. Eric liked Jane. Eric pursued Jane. Jane let her own insecurities and assumptions cost them the better part of 8 years. Eric needs a bride. Eric goes to Jane. Jane agrees. High society is not exactly pleased. Secret Society is not exactly pleased. Plots ensue. Eric and Jane make it to the church. Things are rocky but salvageable. Villain arrives, protests, and makes Eric leave. Are they married? Are they not?
So, Grandma Celeste must have known something was coming, because she changed the will the day of the wedding. Now, Eric and Jane don’t have to be married, but they do have to live together of 60 days. Then, everyone gets their inheritance and all will be fine. Except. The Villain doesn’t want Eric and Jane together. He has held and tortured Eric for many days in order to get his way. Jane is hurt and not really wanting to forgive or trust Eric. But, the heart wants what the heart wants, and fighting against it is often futile. It isn’t long before they are going their own way and on the run from the Villain. As they, along with friends Skylar and Brandon and the ADA Matthew Zola, try to uncover the truth more secrets come to light. Yet the biggest question remains – WHY? Why are they targeted? What is the endgame?
Finally, Eric and Jane return home to face the future together. They are unwilling to run anymore. But then, just as it looks like they are forging a way forward, the other shoe(s) drops. Eric is taken to jail and Jane’s mother is missing. What now?
The pacing and plotting of this are really good. I finished Book #1 and #2 in one day. Could not wait to see what happened. The threads are twisty and so very connected. Looking forward to finding out how Eric and Jane defeat the Villain! Enjoy!
I am obsessed with Jane and Eric, even more so after reading The Kiss Plot. I’m not normally big on romantic suspense, but author Nicole French has made me a convert. I’m eagerly counting down the days to the third book in this excellent, sexy series.
As if The Hate Vow was not enough – next up in the saga The Kiss Plot will leave you breathless. The story of Eric and Jane takes so many twists and turns you feel like you are on a roller coaster. This book had me laughing out loud and screaming at my kindle. Nicole French creates a world that leaves the reader with more questions and answers and just when you think you understand where the story is going – BAM – change course and hold on. This book deserves more than 5 stars!!
Jane and Eric are truly explosive together . I am loving their story. Eric and Jane have certainly had their disareements, hell they thrive off of them . This is so much more than that and Jane is more than angry she is a woman that has been betrayed and scorned and she will not stop until she has answers and justice. I cannot wait to read the rest of their story no matter where they take me !!!
Love it !!!!

I was so ready for this book! I love Jane & Eric. I need the next book so desperately. I thought I liked The Hate Vow but I absolutely love The Kiss Plot. These two had me turning the pages so fast that I was done before I even realized it.
We begin Book 2 with the reality sinking into Jane.
Eric has been gone, she was left at the altered but is there marriage legitimate? She believes they both completed their vows.
So many secrets have been kept from Jane, she vows to find the truth and no matter what she needs to find Eric and get answers.
After so many questionable moments, Jane finally felt her and Eric were in love and it was real until their wedding and everything has become one big suspense.
Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles that have been bought upon them?
Will Jane finally feel secure in her relationship with Eric and truly believe his love for her is real?
Book 2 is a roller coaster ride of suspenseful moments and emotions! Can’t wait for the conclusion.
I jumped right in because it picked up right where The Hate Vow left off and I ripped through the beginning, then something happened.
The plot became longer.
I usually am not one to be frustrated with cliffhangers. I love them actually, but this book will bring on a third book making this a trilogy and usually with a trilogy I always feel one is a filler book and that was the overall feel I got from this one.
French’s writing is spot on and she has a way to pull you in, but I just wasn’t as engaged in the JANUS side of the story as I was in the first book. I do have a feeling the next book will knock my socks off because there is a lot of loose ends to tie up.
OH my stars this book! It was absolutely everything and more. The push and pull and all the secrets that come unraveling as insane. The chemistry between Eric and Jane. The craziness of how the first book ended leading into this one blew my mind! I was sooooo MAD at Eric in this one for a bit then I came to realize and understand why he did what he did to protect Jane. His love never faltered but his need to protect and shelter her from what is being thrown at them was just heartbreaking. I still adore Jane and her character and how much sass that girl has! She is a spitfire and no matter what happens, she will not back down.
All I can say is, by the end of this second book, I NEED BOOK THREE!!! GIMMIE ANSWERS! I absolutely could not put it down and devoured every word. This dark and twisted world that French came up with is so mind blowing and one of a kind. The concept keeps you on your toes with all the little moments. This is a brilliant series and it is ramping up for an epic finale and I am dying to know how it all plays out! Especially with how this one ended!
The Kiss Plot by Nicole French is the second book in her Quicksilver series. Told in dual POV and picking up where book one left off with a jilted bride, a funeral and a whole ton of questions, we once again follow the clues to the big bad behind Eric’s erratic behavior, Jane’s acclimation to discovering a dark family secret and more. With plot twists and character surprises this series is becoming addicting. For the sake of spoilers my review is brief – but know that while so many questions were answered, so many more were left int he wind – hopefully book three, The Love Trap, will answer these remaining questions and see our Eric and Jane with a happy ending. The Love Trap is expected to release September 17, 2019. Enjoy!
Eric and Jane go through so much in this book. Their relationship is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Can’t wait to see what happens to them.
So, a marriage of convenience, that always goes smoothly LOL
I couldn’t read Hate Vow back in March because my personal life exploded at the time it was being promoted and I couldn’t concentrate well enough to comprehend a single thing that was happening but when The Kiss Plot came along I was ready. I’m super glad I got to read this duet back to back. I’m not sure the story would have been as enjoyable any other way because Hate Vow dragged for me for a good chunk of it. There was zero wow factor to the story-line … until there was. When that happens at the very beginning of a book, you’re asking it to be DNF’d too easily. I came close but I’m glad I didn’t. I stuck with it and really enjoyed it!
Eric and Jane are characters you can root for. You want their relationship to work because you feel their attraction jumping off the pages. They captivated me and I really wanted it to work out for them. Of course, you don’t get that satisfaction with Hate Vow because shocker … cliffhanger LOL But I knew going into it so no biggie. At least I didn’t have to wait for Kiss Plot longer than a minute LOL
So now I’ve read Kiss Plot and I have to say that captivated by their journey doesn’t even begin to comer it LOL Their journey is riddled with twists and secrets, but they are unified in their fight to a HEA. I have no doubt they will weather their journey but it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. It already is LOL Everything about this section of their journey was like a roller coaster of ups and downs, good and bad, heaven and hell (metaphorically speaking of course lol). I swear, they took one step forward but landed two steps back!
There’s even more story yet to come which if I’m being honest, is probably going to be the most thrilling part of this trilogy. I feel it. So far, I would rate this journey I would rate 3.5 stars (3 stars for The Hate Vow and 4 stars for The Kiss Plot. I’m hoping for serious wow factor in The Love Trap coming in September!
