Neil Josten is out of time. He knew when he came to PSU he wouldn’t survive the year, but with his death right around the corner he’s got more reasons than ever to live.
Befriending the Foxes was inadvisable. Kissing one is unthinkable. Neil should know better than to get involved with anyone this close to the end, but Andrew’s never been the easiest person to walk away from. If they both say it … both say it doesn’t mean anything, maybe Neil won’t regret losing it, but the one person Neil can’t lie to is himself.
He’s got promises to keep and a team to get to championships if he can just outrun Riko a little longer, but Riko’s not the only monster in Neil’s life. The truth might get them all killed—or be Neil’s one shot at getting out of this alive.

Still amazing – 4.5 stars
If you love to root for the underdog – you must give this trilogy a chance. The All for the Game series is a college sports trilogy that follows an EXY team (The Foxes) all the way to the finale of the championships. Over the course of the trilogy I fell in love with every single character (the good ones) and it was one of the easiest things I ever did.
I’m so happy that I gave this series a go.
I still can’t believe how much this series means to me. Putting down the kindle literally hurt. It was torture to have to put it down. It’s not surprising that I already ordered the paperbacks. This series has managed what many books haven’t, I’m completely and utterly in love with it. And this is just fact, but I will be rereading this trilogy again and again.
The author, incredibly talented, wrote such a superbly plotted novel (because that’s what these three books end up being, one long novel) that I have to go back and read it again. Because now, knowing what I know, I’ll see certain dialogues and scenes differently. They suddenly will mean so much more to me. It’s no secret that this series was full of twists and turns. It’s truly an amazing feat if you think about all the sub plots the writer was able to successfully resolve and all the questions she answered in a satisfactory manner.
I wish with all my heart that there will be more books in this world.
These three books encompass only one year of school for the Foxes. And Neil and Andrew’s relationship just started and I’m far from done with them.
What made these books so amazing was the writing. The dialogues were smart and witty, the character development rich and layered. And the teams progress was as impressive as hard earned. But most of all, the fantastic Exy world kept me flipping pages and I have a new found respect for this author. There aren’t that many writers that can invent an entire sport and describe it in such detail that I’m wondering why it doesn’t exist in RL.
I really can only recommend this series.
This is one underrated author, that earned my devotion and will be from now on my auto-buy list.
This third and final book in the series is a great wind up of the storylines. There’s some pretty shocking brutality so be forewarned if you’ve got a sensitivity to violence.
The growth of the characters is well done. The story arc is concluded satisfactorily. There is a rollercoaster of emotions hitting all the key ones hard. The suspense in the final game has you holding your breath and the ending is both rewarding and shocking.
This is a great series and I’m so glad I stayed with it past the first book which I did not really like. I wish a good editor could fix up the problems in that book to bring it up to par with books two and three.
THIS WAS SO GOOD! I binge read the trilogy this weekend and am now feeling completely bereftWhy do I always do that?!
Such a brilliant conclusion to the series though – passion, heartbreak, blood, guts and glory – I loved it all. I always have a soft spot for a tortured anti-hero and Andrew is all that and more. And Neil – seriously how did he survive everything that came his way?! Such great characters and honestly why isn’t exy an actual sport?!
Missing my Foxes already
Five ‘you must read this’ stars
Well that is it. It felt satisfying, but I still could have had more. There was definitely a HFN, which was a great thing, as this series was dark and terrifying at times and felt hopeless. But by like 80% there was so much hope that it was wonderful. I was wrecked when Neil was inevitably hurt again, it just about crushed me. Matt’s dad helped bring some comic relief to this though further in the story, which was nice, as most of the time you were just trying to cope with what was happening and trying to root for all the Foxes to end up happy. I was so happy we actually got to meet Erik in person, as Nicky is still one of my favorite characters. I really enjoyed Aaron’s storyline and loved when he finally got a backbone, or really just stopped being so stubborn. I loved Aaron and Andrew’s hurdles and how they decided to tackle them. Kevin was also the best he had been the whole series and we got to see him finally stand on his own out of the shadows of the Ravens. I think Riko got what he deserved, but it definitely felt a bit anticlimactic, but again it was tough to read. Then you have the bombshells that just kept coming, and wow that made the story fly by. Finally you have Neil who was just such an unrelenting force through this whole series. He was inspiring to all the Foxes. And him and Andrew were so sweet. I adored that part of the story. Also, Alexander Cendese on narration finished this installment off perfectly. He is still one of my favorite narrators. Again, wish we got a short of warm and fuzees, but it would not be the Foxes…
This series was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad I picked up the first book!
There are some things that are hard to read and my mind was furiously thinking about how our hero would get out of things, and there were not so great outcomes. But everything was so crazy and the entire situation was so insane that it seemed over the top and also…perfect. I loved Neil and the family he built for himself. Every character is this book was unique and wonderful. I loved this series!
I love this series so fucking much! Andrew and Neil owns my heart! The romance is slow burn at it’s best and I’m going to miss every single one of the team! You cannot help but fall for all of them.
The terror I felt around the half way mark is something I cannot describe. I was trying to read as fast as possible without skipping ahead because all I wanted was for it to be over. I was so scared to realize that I didn’t trust the author to not give me even more pain and that sort of took me by surprise.
Andrew is so wonderfully protective over his loves ones and I love how his complexities are shown. And I’m so glad we finally get the revenge I was hoping for in the previous book. Also consent is sexy and I love the way it is portrayed here.
Is this really the end of the series? It’s only the first year and I can’t help want more books set in this world. Also the fanarts really made me think Renee and Allison were a couple throughout the series and now I feel clowned.
This series is special and will always have a place in my heart. I also think it might get better with re reads because the three are really just one long book and it’s all so intricately connected. Very highly recommended but please do heed the warnings.
TW: torture, mentions of abuse, murder, drugs
“There is no ‘this’. This is nothing.”
“And I am nothing,” Neil prompted. When Andrew gestured confirmation, Neil said, “And as you’ve always said, you want nothing.”
Overall rating of the series: 3.5 stars
I feel like I had too much hope for theses books. Indeed, the fandom around them is very important for such a “small” author and I was so excited to discover Neil and Andrew’s story. Well I should have been made aware that it is a very slow romance and that nothing happens between the two of them before the last book.
When I’ve read the first book I was very confused, not really understanding where it was going, so I ended up reading the entire series in four days. I believe it would have been so much more enjoyable if it had been condensed into two books instead of three. I know it is a super popular series and I might try to reread it by listening to the audiobooks, but at the moment I am not impressed at all by those books.
I don’t think anything I could say would be enough. This book was everything. I cried, I smiled, I yelled and laughed. I got so invested I dreamed about the characters. Amazing work.
