I loved Sydney and her twisted family past. Burcell unfolds the story with a pace that will make you gasp just when you thought it was safe to take a breath. The characters are smart–the plot is driven by believable issues rather than stupid decisions (a sticking point for me as a reader!) I loved this one and have gone on to read more Sydney …
I really enjoyed this book–listening to it has gotten me through a hectic week! It’s so realistic because the characters behave the way they would logically behave under the circumstances. And the action never slows down!
