Do you ever wish you had an identical twin? I bet you think it would be like having a built-in best friend. You might imagine that the two of you would spend all of your time together, finish each other’s sentences, and share a special, secret bond that only the two of you can truly understand. For me, the reality of being a twin is far removed from that wonderful fantasy. Despite our almost … far removed from that wonderful fantasy.
Despite our almost identical appearances, Nixie is better than me at everything. She is the smart one, the pretty one, the athletic one, the one with the magnetic personality, the witty one… the list goes on and on.
I have gotten used to it, but that doesn’t mean I like it.
A couple of years ago, I moved down to the Florida Keys because I wanted to escape from my sister’s shadow and begin building a life of my own. I think I have done a great job of it, too.
When a tragic twist of fate suddenly pulls me back into Nixie’s shining orbit, I feel like my newly found confidence and autonomous lifestyle are at risk.
Am I ever going to find someone who will choose me over my twin? Take a peek inside my diary today to find out.

The Keys to My Diary: Trixie
By: Ann Omasta
Narrated by: Ann Omasta
Series: The Keys to My Diary, Book 3
Do you keep a journal? I love this series by Ann Omasta. Hearing the inner most thoughts of these women, writing things we all think is so refreshing. Trixie is a little different from the first two in the series. She is not as easy to relate to. I am not sure why, but she still was entertaining. She is a twin, and feels inferior to sister. But an auto accident brings her home to her sister’s bedside and some time to write her feelings. There is a lot of learning and growing in this one. She opens up about her feelings for her sister, Nixie and her budding relationship with Diego. We go on the ups and downs of her life, and see her perspective on life. With a fun ending, bringing Fern, Mariana together this series ends with a wonderful happily ever after. Narrated by the talents of the author, Ann Omasta gives her spin on the story just as she heard it as she wrote it. She has a way of bringing her works to life and I love that she lets us hear it as intended. Another fun and relaxing listen!

Much like Trixie’s favorite snack, this story was light fluffy. Though there were also the crunchy bits that kept it interesting and didn’t let it get too sweet. I was pretty sure from what the previous two books had said about her, that there would be a lot more to Trixie than just the dumb blonde stereotype she often played to. She’s complex and vulnerable, but also a bit of a goofball. I loved seeing her fall in love with the right man and figure out how to make it work long term. And, reading this book right now, made TP hoarding comment particularly funny.
The Keys to My Diary: Trixie was another great read by Ann Omasta. Trixie has always lived in the shadows of her twin sister Nixie. Trixie moved to the Florida Keys to escape the shadows that she lived in. Unfortunately Nixie has an accident and Trixie goes to help her family as much as she can. Trixie wants to find someone who chooses her over her sister. She never believed that she would find a man like that while at her sisters bedside. I can’t wait to read more by Ann Omasta.
I was given a free copy of this Audiobook In exchange for an honest review. A sunny Florida romance and a sisters relationship documented in a diary. Tragedy can turn into happiness and love blooms in an unexpected place. This book reminds me to never give up and never stop trying. Good read.
When her twin sister is left in a coma after an automobile accident, Trixie goes home to be with her family. Used to being the “other daughter” she takes the night shift sitting with her sister and meets a cheerful, outgoing night nurse who is assigned to her sister’s case.
Like the other stories in this series, this one is full of silly incidents, laughable “secret” thoughts, hot romance and an HEA that is sweet and satisfying. Because it’s the last book of the trilogy, it also ties up the story lines of the other two Keys stories.
I liked the book and thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.
