I thought that this book was the perfect ending to this enjoyable series. Lennox and Rose were very likable characters and I felt that they made a great couple that was easy to root for. An entertaining blend of emotions, drama, adventure, suspense, romance and time travel make for an exceedingly enjoyable read. I’m sad to see this series come to the end but I am excited to see what this author will offer next.
I really have enjoyed this series and kind of sad that it has now come to an end with this last book. I’ve always been fascinated with stories of time travel, especially when it involves hunky Highlanders:)
Rose holds the last key and it’s up to her to get rid of the Barefoot Man once and for all! When she travels back in time, she meets Lennox and he tries to help her go back home to the future but there are a few twists and turns that prevent her from doing so!
This is definitely a very clean historical romance but I would have preferred a wee bit more chemistry between Rose and Lennox. All in all, though, a great end to this series.

I just finished reading this and it went way too fast. Action, Action, Action. Not a dull moment. I was drawn into the story from the beginning. Rose is a unique character. She is sarcastic, witty and has a good heart. For some reason she knows how to pick locks, do sleight of hand tricks and talk her way into situations that normally a warrior would dispatch those involved. She was smart, funny and had a longing to find her mother. I wish there had been more background given on Rose’s life during the ten years without her mother. Why did she have to learn to pick locks? When did she learn about sleight of hand tricks and for what reason? How did she learn to be so glib and for what purpose? Even a little of the story of who taught her and what she was up to that brought her to that point. Now our hero Lennox is not extraordinary. He was strong, brave, looked up to his father the Laird and always followed orders. I found nothing very exciting about his character. After so many books in the series, I expected a dire cataclysmic ending and felt let down. The storyline is simple but has great potential. I feel more work could have been put into the overall story to make it more dramatic considering the past books. Blanche Dabney’s book have been hit or miss with me. I have rated some five stars and as low as two stars and then some in between. Book five was the best book in the series. Five stars. That is probably why I felt disappointed in this book six. But I do love Highland romances, time travel and will always look forward to Ms. Dabney’s next book. I just never know what I am going to get.
Lennox MacGregor is being held prisoner in an English castle when a strange woman appears out of nowhere and the two escape. Lennox and the MacGregor clan have been having trouble with one English lord who is intent on destroying them. After escaping, Lennox takes the woman home with him to warn his father that they mean to kill him. Afterwards, he has to deliver a letter to a man in a monastery but the druid at their castle tell Lennox he must take this woman with him and that they have to do something along the way. Rose Winter’s mother disappeared 10 years ago and has now been declared dead so rose is clearing out the house she inherited. She’s made a living writing time travel romances from the stories her mother used to tell but has hit a block. She receives a message and drives to the MacGregor castle where she’s given a key and told to go down to the lower level of the castle. That’s when she finds herself back in time. Rose and Lennox must work together to destroy the dark magic penetrating Scotland once again.
I have really enjoyed this series and this one brought a nice ending. I love time travel romances which combine a bit of current times with the past. This book was well-written with well-rounded characters. I highly recommend both it and the series which I suggest you read in order.
Rose’s mother told her stories about six silver keys. One day while she was still young her mother disappeared without a trace.
Now Rose has a key and it takes her back in time to meet Lennox MacGregor. They must thwart a siege on the MacGregor castle while also stopping the barefoot man.
As I read this book it seemed like I had read parts of it before. The authors note at the back of the book explained why that was. So if you were an early reader of this author you may feel the same, but it is worth the read.
This is a clean romance starring a strong, hunky Highlander, contains time travel aspects, has a bit of paranormal and has a happy ever after ending.
Book six and the final book in the Clan MacGregor series a well written ending to this series. I want to read the set again, so I will be buying the set that I see is out. This is Author Rose Winter and Highlander Lennox MacGregor’s story about her travel back in time, and the surprise that happens near the end. Final installment…
This is the sixth and final book in this series. While I’m sad to see it end, this story was a perfect finale. There’s plenty of adventure, suspense, twists and turns to keep you glued to your Kindle until the final page.
