The plot gets deeper and deeper.
This book is not a stand-alone. You must read the previous books in order to understand what is happening and who some characters are.
Natalie is the last surviving member of the MacCallister clan. She is living in the present time. Wallace who is in the past, is only a boy but has been tricked and has fallen into a curse that his parents tried to save him from.
Now twenty years later he mistakenly made a deal with the barefoot man. He must get the silver key in order to bring back his father. But when he meets Natalie he must decide if all of the enemy MacCallisters are as bad as he thought.
We meet a new couple, Captain and Scarlett who appears to maybe play a role in the future.
There is plenty of mystery going on and all of them are not solved at the end of the book. It ends with a happy ever after but there are still a couple of keys left to find and stories yet to be read.
If you appreciate romance books involving time travel with a twist of paranormal then you may like this book. It is a clean romance with only a few kisses shown.
I received a free copy of this book. But I read and reviewed it through KU.
The fourth book in the Clan MacGregor series a well written story with a very good storyline. A time travel story that has penniless author Natalie MacCallister going through time to the thirteenth century where she meets Wallace MacGregor. Wallace wants revenge against her because of things her ancestors did. But they always say there is a short line between love and hate. I enjoyed reading how these two get their happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A fantasy paranormal romance.
I love well-written time travel fantasy romances and this one did not disappoint. It was a fascinating story full of suspense and drama. Wallace wants revenge will he get it? What about the magic and the barefoot man? Is Natalie really Wallace’s enemy? This book has it all a fantasy paranormal romance that was unbelievably good. I highly recommend you will love it! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the fourth book in the Clan MacGregor series but can be read as a standalone. If you like time travel romances, you’ll enjoy this book. Well written with strong characters and an engaging story. The descriptions were very vivid and realistic. No cliffhanger and a happy ending. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.

Revenge!

This story didn’t seem to flow as well as some others in this series. I just couldn’t get into it. I have loved this series until this book so it was hard for me to give it a lower rating than the others but the ending of the story seemed a little rushed. I saw no chemistry between the hero and heroine of this particular book so when they married it just seemed off.
I think it needed an extra chapter or two to seal the deal as such.
Therefore it gets 3.5 of 5.0 stars for story line and characterization.

Although I did enjoy the overall concept of a time travel romance that had elements of magic, curses, dungeons and clan wars, however I did not feel moved by the story. I cannot pinpoint why I just did not find it engaging. I have loved the other books in this series but this one let me down. I do like Blanche Dabney’s work and look forward to her next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is the fourth book in this time travelling series by Blanche Dabney, Natalie MacCallister is really having a bad time, lost her job, home and boyfriend all in one day. She moves into the old MacCallister castle and meets the “ghost” of Wallace MacGregor, who is being locked in the dungeon in the Middle Ages. Travelling back and meeting Wallace takes us on a wild magical adventure that kept me entertained throughout the story. I really liked the characters an glad they had a HEA, I can’t wait for the next book.
Revenge and wishes…
Wallace wants revenge. Natalie wishes to visit the 13th century. What happens when both are granted what they want? The answer is a story full of drama, adventure and suspense. In other words, the fourth book in the “Clan MacGregor” series. While it’s not necessary to have read the other three books, I suggest you do. Ms. Dabney has created a wonderful “world” full of great characters. I’m looking forward to her next installment.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This is book four in this terrific time travel romance series but it can be easily read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Natalie and Wallace’s enemies to lovers story. The emotional turmoil, tension, drama, danger and magic flow freely through this engaging tale that will sweep you up and away into this epic love story.
What an unusual but fascinating story this was! Having read the other 3 books in this series, I was very much looking forward to reading this 4th book and was not disappointed. Be prepared to be blown away by Natalie MacCallister and Wallace MacGregor’s story!!
I enjoyed the time travel concept, the danger, the magic, the love, even the butterfly effect! We meet the Barefoot Man again and he’s up to his usual evil tricks but he may have met his match in Natalie and Wallace!!! A very well written story filled with action that keeps you on your toes. Even though Wallace had vowed to kill the last of the MacCallisters, when he meets Natalie, it doesn’t take long for him to fall for her and only want to keep her safe. As for Natalie, little does she realize what a true warrior she is and how much her life changes when she uses the silver key to open the dungeon door…..
I was given an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
