I love time-travel books, and this one was great. I have read 8 of Blanche’s books, and she is a favorite author of mine now. I love the series books, where you can follow the characters thru time. Highly recommend this author.
A time travel romance that has a bit of mystery to it. Nice storyline and plot. I was a bit confused at first but that solved during reading the novella. I liked the characters and their chemistry. The mystery gave it a bit more and that caught me to the end.
I love how this books takes you back to old Scotland.
The plot of the book starts off in this age but a key
takes Jessica back to old Scotland where she meets
Eddard Who tries to get his clan to believe Jessica
is there long lost princess.
To find out if he can grab the book and go on a fantastic
journey back in time.

This is an intriguing and interesting story. Jessica received a key and a flyer at her front door, the flyer was for an open house at a castle. Bored, broke and up for a change, she packs a suitcase and heads to Scotland. While she was being given a personal tour she was left alone, and decided to keep going When she found a locked door she tried her key, the door opened and she went through, and found herself being taken by two guards in armor. When confronted by a man who demanded to know how she got into the castle, she told him about the key and the door, he had her show him. When he took the key and unlocked the door, he shoved her through it and closed and locked I again. She found her on the outside of the castle, 20 feet up, with no way down. While she tried to get her up from the ledge she was hanging on, she ended up falling, right into the arms of a man. Eddard had seen her falling and ran to catch her. When he sees her face, the ideas of passing her off as the laird and lady’s missing daughter comes to mind. A way to take down the steward who banished him and was ruining the clan. Trying to get her to her parents proves almost impossible, she had a bounty on her head, and all the guards followed the steward. I loved the storyline, and the characters were interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
I was in a book slump but this book brought me right out! It grabbed my attention and held on tight. I urge you to read this clean romance if you like mystery, time travel, Scotland, love and family. It can be read as a stand alone story.
This book follows Jessica, a private investigator down on her luck, from the current time back to the 1300s in Scotland. She received a key which somehow transported her from the MacGregor castle ruin to the castle in the past.
Eddard is an outcast from the castle. He discovers Jessica. She looks so much like a little girl named Morag that he thought up a plan. Morag was the daughter of the Laird and Lady of the castle. When she disappeared twenty years ago her parents put themselves in seclusion and allowed their steward to rule in their stead. The problem is that he is an evil man who is very greedy and the people have suffered, many have died.
Can Jessica and Eddard lie convincingly enough to convince everyone that Jessica is Morag and save the clan? Or will their lies be discovered?
I read an arc copy of this book but read it in KU. I am leaving my honest opinion voluntarily in this review.
Morag was whisked to the future as a child and sent back to her time years later landing on Eddard. Through space and time they found a love while fighting enemies to regain her fathers rightful place. Great characters and a fun and eventful story!

Blanche Dabney takes us on another wonderful medieval time traveling tale, magical keys that take you through time, sexy stubborn highlanders.
Jessica is a PI and business isn’t doing well and when she receives a key and invitation to an open day at castle MacGregor she couldn’t resist. Meeting Eddard, saving the clan, finding her past and saving lives makes Jessica realize where she’s meant to be.
Wonderful story, well-written with amazing attention to details. Wonderfully descriptive, definitely takes you back in time. I really can’t wait for the next book.
Book two in the Clan MacGregor series a well written story. These books have to be read in order, as the first one ties into the second one. Who is private eye Jessica Abrahams? Her story kept me turning pages. I enjoyed reading Jessica and Eddard MacGregor’s story of time travel, drama, suspense, danger, a villain, wrongs being righted, attempted assassin, and romance. A little deception won’t hurt anyone…right? Besides, it will help Eddard get off the island he’s imprisoned on. No harm done. Yeah, we all know how this will end. The only question is will it be Jessica or Eddard who surfers the repercussions of a little deception? Read to find out.

When Jessica receives a key she has no idea it is going to send her to the highlands of the past. There she meets Eddard who promises to help her get home if she helps him pull off his plan. And that’s when the adventure and mystery unfolds. Clean sweet romance.
This is a very enjoyable time travel romance. A engaging blend of romance, mystery and suspense holds your attention as the story unfolds. The characters were likable and I liked their chemistry.
I’ve always enjoyed time travel stories and this one is quite interesting! Imagine a key being delivered to you and while visiting a castle in Scotland, you unlock a door and find yourself 800 years in the past!!! It happens to Jessica Abrahams and it’s quite an adventure she finds herself in. She ends up meeting Eddard MacGregor on the island he’s been banished to for years and because of her likeness to the Laird and his wife’s daughter, Morag, that went missing many years ago, he devises a plan, with Jessica’s help, to get off the island and stop the evil steward who has been ruining the clan ever since the Laird and his wife went into seclusion after their daughter’s disappearance.
Eddard had only planned to use Jessica to get off the island but emotions soon get in the way! As for Jessica, what are those dreams that she keeps dreaming about!! I thought this was well written and although I would have liked to see a little more depth into both main characters, it was an enjoyable read.
