Spenser has gone to London — and not to see the Queen. He’s gone to track down a bunch of bombers who’ve blown away his client’s wife and kids. His job is to catch them. Or kill them. His client isn’t choosy. But there are nine killers to one Spenser — long odds. Hawk helps balance the equation. The rest depends on a wild plan. Spenser will get one of the terrorists to play Judas Goat — to lead … — to lead him to others. Trouble is, he hasn’t counted on her being very blond, very beautiful and very dangerous.

Any of Robert Parker’s books are terrific. I have read them all and consider myself fortunate to have done so .
Reading a Spenser novel is like visiting with old friends.
An early Spenser novel. The plot is interesting, not exceptional, but you start to get a good feel for the characters, Spenser, Hawk and Susan, that are developed over subsequent stories. Very much worth reading if you are a fan of Robert B. Parker’s Spenser series.
I LOVE ROBERT B PARKER BOOKS
Not the best of the series but Spenser and Hawk are always entertaining. The plot seemed almost contrived, and did not ring true for me.

Like all Parker’s, quick and entertaining
When my wife and I are alone, I am her Spenser and she is my Susan. That’s how much we love Robert B. Parker’s Spenser novels.
Always enjoy his books, but this Spenser novel is exceptional
One of Parker’s earliest books. The writing is a bit stilted. He get better and better as the series goes on. Still, an interesting read.
Robert B. Parker books are always worth the read and very entertaining.
This is an early Spenser novel. Many of the Spenser traits are still in development. Shows the promise of the series.

I love Spenser. He is a real wiseguy.
Good Spenser plotting
Very thought provoking
Anything by Robert B. Parker is great. Unfortunately he was taken from us too early.
