2019 Reader’s Choice WINNER: 1st Place: Fantasy!General Ygl’s Inner Earth has been turned upside down. Follow his compatriots and him on an adventure of discovery about the infamous Jode in a world of gods and goddesses, belief and disbelief, politics and religion; and, divine right in the embattled continent of Zaendara. Divine right, the god-given gifts granted by the Divinity to each royal … each royal family.
Can they overcome their frailties before Xurchon (the God of Evil) and Emperor Rondo can usurp Zaendaran peace? Can Ygl rise as a good leader? What does the Jode have to do with any of it?
Have fun with the dialects. The more you get involved with them the more absorbed you become with the world.

If you’re a fan of the high fantasy genre, this book is a definite must-have. From the get-go the story is interesting, the characters are varied and likeable, and the dialect of the different races is neat and thought out. A story everyone can enjoy. Looking forward to the next one.
O-M-G!!
PJ Selarom is crazy!! Where did they get this guy!? He’s just not only a world builder. He’s a culture builder! Love! Love his weird characters and their struggles, and, the battle scenes! This guy can write! He leaves just the right amount of mystery and suspense with spellbinding magic. You literally feel like you’re right in the middle of the scenes.
I’m putting my PJ’s on ready for some more Selarom! Bring on Book 2!! Take me away to another world!
General YGL is a very good character. He is strong and knows how to lead. The genie is a big help keeping him going. My belief is this book will make a very good movie. Rondo is a bad guy working for a bad God who will make things worse for YGL. I will definitely buy the next book for sure. I’m really waiting to see what happens and when they will meet again. It’s very interesting because PJ mixes religion, politics, etc.

Readers’ Comments
‘This book reminded me of The Lord of the Rings. It’s very slow to get going, but once you are hooked in, you fall in love with it. The writing style is complex and can be difficult to understand. I had to re-read a few of the chapters. I think the author is fab at creating a fantasy world and interesting characters, but it just needs simplifying a bit.’ Boy, aged 15
‘I loved the chemistry between the characters. The author is very good at developing characters and making the reader care about them and what happens to them. But he’s not good at pacing, as it was too slow and longwinded.’ Girl, aged 14
‘This is a good fantasy story although it is very wordy and is difficult to follow in parts. I think the author is excellent at describing setting, but it’s a slow novel and it took me a bit to get into it. Then I liked it and now I want to read the next.’ Girl, aged 15
To Sum It Up:
‘A strongly plotted, complex adventure filled with charismatic and enthralling characters. A FINALIST and highly recommended’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
