All it took was one frat party for me to notice her. Blair Jensen. Gorgeous. Nerd. With a sharp tongue and give-no-shits attitude. The moment she sneered jock at me I was captivated. Then she poured a beer over my head, and walked away like I was nothing. Nobody turned down Cage Wilder, and I knew then that I had to have her, no matter the consequences. She had bruised my ego, and made me look … and made me look horrible in front of all my football buddies turning me into the laughingstock of the team, so I made a bet with them. They claimed there wasn’t anyone that could bed the icy book nerd, but I knew otherwise.
Forcing my way into her life was easy, but shutting off my feelings after we spent many late nights studying together wasn’t and it didn’t take long for me to discover there was so much more to Blair than what everyone saw.
Sweet, funny as hell, and a believer of happily ever afters.
She sees me for more than a football god, and she doesn’t take any of my shit, but the bet I made still hovers over my head, the money burning in my pocket and I know that if I want more with her I’ll have to tell her the truth… before someone else does.
Question is, will she still want me when she finds out what I did?
This is book six in the North Woods Series and is a complete standalone. It contains mature themes, and sexual content not suitable for all readers.

The Jock is book 6 in the North Woods University Series. Cage Wilder is the star in the football team, popular, sexy, and the girls simply drop at his feet. Blair Jensen the quiet book nerd who keeps to herself trying to stay hidden under the radar and not draw any attention to herself. Blair and Cage meet a party where she dumps her drink on Cage’s head in a moment of anger and frustration. Blair can’t hide from Cage because now she is stuck tutoring him because his sport on the football team is in jeopardy. There is plenty of sexual tension, chemistry and emotions between these two that you feel it coming off of the pages as you read this book. Secrets, lies, bets and drama are a key factor in Blair and Cage becoming friends and then moving forward with having a relationship with each other. This was a great addition to this series and I cant wait for the next book in this series to come out.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
He’s a god in the football world a true wildcat!
She’s the book nerd, the tutor the all round good girl.
They don’t move in the same circles until she takes a step out of her comfort zone and attends a frat party and there he is with his cocky smile.
Ahhhh I sighed and swooned over this book like a schoolgirl with her first crush.
The playboy and the nerd give you hope. An unusual coupling that somehow work.
She has fire, and he has feelings. She isn’t shy with her thoughts and he isnt afraid to try try again.
Cage is the guy all the girls want to catch and call their own. He’s a playboy who is only interested in one night wonders.
Blair is more interested in her romance novels than the real thing. She’s not looking to become someone’s notch on a bed post frequented by many.
I loved her sass and his cheekyness and I constantly hoped they found a page they could work on together.
Another fantastic North Woods series addition. I’ve loved all the books from the bet to the promise and those inbetween, theres just something magical about them, that keeps you hooked and desperate for more.
This enemies to lovers romance captivated me right from the start with the wonderfully written storyline and well developed characters! Blair and Cage kept me totally engaged as I turned the pages until the very end!
I couldn’t put the book down. This story just throws you back in school day when love was sweet and bittersweet… But also it is a grown up world for Blair and Cage feel incredible chemistry between them, almost on the primal level. I highly recommend. It’s naughty it’s bad, but also it’s sweet and romantic to a t.
This series has become one of my favorites. I loved the stories and the characters. I hope this series does not end for a long while.

This is the 6th book in this fascinating series and is Blair and Cage’s story. Blair is a feisty and independent girl who is content with the way her life is and prefers to keep to herself. Cage is the typical jock who used to getting what he wants, that is until he comes across Blair, and one thrown drink and she is firmly on his radar, especially when his team make bets about them both. Cage has certainly met his match with Blair as they challenge each other at every turn which leaves him showing his vulnerable side and her prepared to take risks. This is an amazing story which is sweet and filled with secrets, drama, emotion, and is a humorous and engaging story. I cannot wait to read move from this talented collaboration of authors, and I recommend their work for all readers.
Love this series
intense emotional beautiful heartstopping love story of Blair and Cage
all the feels
Ready for Murphy or Mia
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the sixth book in the series and each can be read as a standalone. This is an enemy to lovers romance that also has bullying in it.
Blair is your typical 4.0 college student with her head always in her books. She doesn’t have time for partying or boys. She spends any free time she has tutoring for spending money.
Cage is a hotshot football player but coach has just informed him that if he doesn’t get his grades up he can kiss his football scholarship good-bye. He was dreading being in the same room with a smart nerd. Until he realized it’s the same girl who dumped a beer on his head. The only girl to tell him no.
I really am enjoying this series. Each book is amazing and I can’t wait for the next one.
She is a girl who works hard for her grades. He is a player and is on the football team. He rubs her thr wrong way. His coach wants her to tutor him to get his grades up. Their relationship starts out being just friends to a little bit more and more. They have their ups and downs it was an awesome book.
I love their chemistry
One thrown drink and one misguided bet put Blair (FMC) and Gage on a collision course together. The Nerd and The Jock are complete polar opposites of each other. Blair is quiet, reserved and a loner and Gage is mouthy, confident and the life & soul of any party. They cant help but rub each other up the wrong way but its a thin line between love and hate. Especially in this book. I couldnt help but love Blair & Gage. The banter between them was a sweet & funny read. Even though Gage was a bit obnoxious at the beginning of the book. I couldnt help but want them both to get together. I really loved this book its a great read as is the whole series. Cant wait for Zeke & Mia’s book. Oh and Murphy’s maybe? Just wondering if maybe Blair’s brother Ben might get his own book in the future?? Id read it
The Jock is book 6 in the North Woods University Series. I enjoyed reading this enemies to lovers journey about Cage and Blair.
Cage Wilder is the star in the football team.popular sexy the girls simply drop at his feet.
Blair Jensen the quiet book nerd who keeps to herself trying to stay hidden under the radar and not draw any attention to herself.
That was until she tipped cold beer over Cage’s head at a frat party.
Now Blair can’t hide anymore Cage has her in his sights, and she wont back down her fiery attitude and sharp whit had Cage second guessing his original plans.
There was plenty of sexual tension chemistry and emotions. Such a sweet romance Recommended reading.
Boy what a plot it’s emotional at times and at
other times you really fill for the characters.
It’s a real page turner.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout.
College romance with mean girls, angst and sexual tension. Nerd vs Jock. Blair does not trust easy. She grew up watching her mother chase men who used and left her. She did not want to be her mother. Her way to break the cycle is to keep her head in her books. She has few friends and not no interest in gaining a bunch. Cage is the big man on campus and has girls throwing themselves at him. When he meets Blair, he ends up with beer on his head. She becomes public enemy #1. Circumstances throw them together. Once they get past the dislike, secrets are revealed and they find out there is a good person beneath the outer shell. They become friends and quickly escalate to lovers.
Oh, yeah, one of those books that brought me lots of laughs and I couldn’t put down. It all starts with a nerdy girl (Blair) dumping her drink on the inflated ego of Cage (the football jock), he can’t forget the one who has resisted his charms, and made him a bit of a laughing stock. How can he resist the challenge of Blair? She certainly hasn’t behaved like all the other girls he knows. Blair would normally have not gone to the party, where this happened, but her mother has been encouraging her to try and expand her friend base, instead of studying all the time. I loved Blair’s sassy spirit which Cage seems to bring out, how protective of Blair that Cage is, the banter between Blair and Cage and their beautiful romance.
The Jock brought me to my knees with the life changing power of pure, honest love. It held me by the throat as it showed me that vulnerability is not as bad as people say. In fact, it forces us to finally be honest with ourself and those around us. It brings to light the things in life that matter the most. The things that make life worth living and bring us the most happiness and joy as they soothe our heart and soul.
Blair is trying to live her life. It’s a small but cherished life. She is fine with keeping to herself, but all that changes whenever Cage barges into it. He upends her world in more ways then one and leaves her breathless and wanting more. Cage didn’t expect to find a girl who challenges and motivates him like Blair. She makes him want more and that leaves him terrified and unsettled. Can these two find a way to help the other open themselves to something new and so much better, or will their best laid plans die a short devastating death at their own hands?
I was shocked and yet dancing with joy as I revealed in the hard fought and brilliantly won journey of Blair and Cage. They left me in awe, and I will never forget their stunning hearts. I am awash in their blinding love that shattered all their walls and transformed their lives into something wholly transcendant.
Beck and Hallman have rocked my world with this fascinating beauty of a story. They have proven that they can do anything they put their minds to, and it will turn out perfect and heartwarming. Their creativity and talent knows no bounds. You can not hold these two goddesses back!!
This author duo did not disappoint. Another amazing romantic journey. You can read The Jock as a standalone but it is nice to read previous books as some previous characters do make appearances and it’s fun to get a glimpse of how they are doing.
I was pulled in from page 1! This is a journey we have not seen at North Woods. Blair is a nerd, Cage a football god. Cage is used to getting what he wants until Blair shows up with her feisty self and doesn’t give in to his good looks and flirty comments. They are from 2 different worlds but both hold secrets that bring them together. Their story teaches you that you really shouldn’t assume you know someone. Don’t judge a book by its cover. These two overcome a lot and it is a rollercoaster of emotions watching their story unfold. This is one I would read again!
4*
Blair & Cage certainly don’t get the best introduction when out of her comfort zone she pours beer over his head, eventually earning her the nickname of ice queen.
Unfortunately turns out Cage needs her, but his friends issue a challenge, will he accept it?
I loved Blair and the way she was not afraid to be herself.
Cage really draws you in as you learn more about the real him.
its definitely a good story
Blair and Cage couldn’t be more different it they tried…lol
This was such a great story. Blair has issues with men because of things from her past. So when Cage hits on her at a party she pours a beer on his head. Cage can’t seem to get the feisty nerd who dumped a beer on his head out of his mind so he decides that he’s going to pursue her and make her fall in love with him. This is an excellent read and I highly recommend it!
Oh, Blair and Cage, how you made my heart ache. This is one of those books that holds a simple truth at its heart and that truth makes it so easy to connect with readers. That simple truth is: we are all so much more than what you see at first glance. This was such a wonderful read. I loved truly getting to know these characters, witnessing them opening up to each other and growing in the process. Blair, I absolutely adored. She may have been a nerd but she was spunky and determined and I really loved that about her. Cage was full of himself and all his bluster was originally off-putting. However, once you started to get a “look behind the curtain” he became a lot more likable. They made a totally swoon worthy couple, that snuck right into my heart and had me actively rooting for them. Of course there are many challenges for these two to face along the way to a HEA. The book quickly grabs and hold your attention with its well crafted blend of drama, tension, emotion, painful baggage, desire, internal turmoil and a secret that is hanging over their heads just waiting to cause trouble. I am posting an independent, Impartial review.
