The hero of the New York Times–bestselling Flight of the Intruder is back in action—“Stephen Coonts, like Jake Grafton, just keeps getting better” (Tom Clancy). Navy pilot Jake Grafton took the fight to the enemy in the Vietnam War, winning the Congressional Medal of Honor and becoming a legend in the military community. But now he must navigate life both in the cockpit and in the halls of … cockpit and in the halls of power as he finds himself on the front lines of a new kind of war . . .
The Intruders: In this sequel to Flight of the Intruder, Grafton is stationed in the South Pacific on the USS Columbia, where his new mission is to educate an unruly group of Marines in the art of flying from an aircraft carrier. They better be fast learners, because they’ll have to work together to survive against an enemy unlike any they’ve ever faced.
“In the realm of today’s military fiction, Mr. Coonts’s The Intruders is as good as they come.” —The Dallas Morning News
The Minotaur: Grafton is heading up a top-secret stealth bomber program at the Pentagon when a series of mysterious deaths occurs, leading him on a manhunt within the US government for a Soviet mole code-named the “Minotaur.” If he can’t find the traitor, Grafton could lose far more than just his career . . .
“Wildly inventive.” —Ocala Star-Banner
Under Siege: In this New York Times bestseller, when a vicious drug lord is captured and brought to Washington, DC, for trial, his fanatically loyal private army prepares to launch an attack on the United States—and its president. The only man who can stop the bloodshed and take down the assassins is Jake Grafton.
“Will keep you glued to your seat on a roller-coaster ride of adventure.” —USA Today
The Red Horseman: As the USSR falls, newly appointed intelligence chief Jake Grafton knows that even as one threat falls, several more are waiting to get their hands on the former Soviet nuclear arsenal. And as he tries to stop a possible Armageddon, someone who is supposed to be on Grafton’s side is working to make sure he fails.
“Quick-firing excitement, plot, and action . . . Coonts at his best.” —The Dallas Morning News

As a career Intruder aviator, loved the series.
I’ve read ALL the Jake Grafton novels over the years. Great character and lots of action.
Love all of the Grafton books!
Jake Grafton is great
It’s actually four books, and I’ve not read the fourth one yet, but plan to do s shortly. Jake Grafton is a Navy pilot, flying off a carrier in the first book, promoted to a National Security position in the second, and getting deeper into the very dangerous world of spy vs spy as the series proceeds.
But the accounts in the first book, of learning to fly various aircraft off a carrier, then uncovering a group of subversive characters, is the highlight of the series so far!
If you like flying, or spy stories, or just military stories, I think you’ll like this one!
These books are written by a man who lived the life. They are insightful, amusing and written so well that, after having read it, the reader feels the relief of a night carrier landing. Jake Grafton is the real deal.
Great extension from”Flight of the Intruder”. Jake Grafton’s too realistic to anyone who has been part of USN aviation to not recognize the good and sometimes bad aspects of USN operations. I hope he continues to produce such well written and entertaining literature.
This book is outstanding! You’ll get to sit in a Navy attack jet sweating thru a rainy nighttime carrier landing as the deck moves around in the swells. This is about as realistic as it gets. Live the life of a Navy pilot.
One one occasion while checking out a SOS you get shot down by pirates, you eject. you and your bombardier get picked up by the same pirates. How will you survive and escape?
I totally recommend this book. It’s well written, captures your attention such that it’s hard to pause for meals and bio breaks.

Boring
Love all of the Jake Grafton books.
Stephen Coonts writes wonderful stories. Just wish the collection had the full sequence of the Jake Grafton series. It had books 2, 4, 5, 6 which was not apparent from the title.
great series
Great characters and lotsof action
I almost finished the first book after buying the whole set. Just pages and pages of life on a carrier. Interesting characters but did not head anywhere. Nothing grabbed my attention in the way of mystery or events. Sorry I cannot keep reading it .
Have read all of his books, all are great
A little slow, could use more action.
Far too much tech stuff unrelated to the plot. I gave up on the first book. Am skimming the second. Probably won’t bother with any more.
A great perspective of pre-9/11 military priorities. From surviving post VietNam politics to evolution of the Cold War. At the same time flying whether jet or helicopter comes through in excruciating but exciting detail.
Wonderful characters, action packed story …. however a tad technical.
An enjoyable read, probably more for men than women (or not). After months or years, it is fun to go and revisit again and again. Great characters and good story lines.
