I’m the Jackpot of all Men.The Jackhammer of all Fcks. The Jack of all Trades. If you haven’t guessed it yet, the name’s Jack. For the last seven years, I gave up my freedom for a crime I didn’t commit, and all for money, my retirement, and my dreams. When it was time to leave, my cellmate asked me for a favor. Find his sister, give her a letter, and leave. Easy, right?Wrong.Nothing about Ahri was … letter, and leave. Easy, right?
Wrong.
Nothing about Ahri was easy. She was a stubborn beauty, an intoxicating mystery, and a feisty fury. She was nowhere near perfect, but perfection was overrated, and Ahrianna Lore was underrated.
I went along with the lie of who she thought I was—just some guy looking at the apartment next door. It was supposed to be a quick hookup, but curiosity got the best of me.
I read the letter.
Have you ever heard the story about the Jack of Hearts whose heart was stolen by a beautiful thief?
The Jack’s Heart is a complete standalone and a part of the Prison Saints series.
The Jack’s Heart is a dark romance with no cliff-hanger and a guaranteed HEA. This book contains steamy and graphic material that might be offensive for some.

Wow! That was an awesome story!
Prison Promise is a thrilling dark romance full of suspense, grit, and so many twists. This is Demi Vice’s debut novel and the first book in the Prison Saints series. I was completely blown away reading this story, and I read it in one sitting! The storyline is unique, and the characters are complex and well developed.
In this story, Jack Baron is a bad boy who just finishing his 7-year sentence in jail. Before he got out, Luke, his cellmate, asked him to give his sister, Ahri, a letter. The story snowballs into a thrilling, dark and steamy story, which I absolutely love!
Fabulous and a definite add to your TBR list!

Hard to imagine that this book is the first from Demi. It was beautifully written and so freaking fantastic. I loved Ahri and Jack’s story. Especially Jack. That man is definitely one of a kind. I really liked all the characters in this book. Each one of them had a unique story to play in both Jack’s and Ahri’s story. It was beautiful. Absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next one.
OH MY ROCKY ROAD ICE CREAM!!!
Wow! What a sizzling, nailbiting, nerve racking, gut wretching, rollercoaster ride of emotions and unexpected danger that keeps you captivated from the start. This page turning bombshell will definitely rock your world to its core. Man, the characters and scenes were realistic, intriguing and complex with a undeniable connection between the two main characters. Their bond is white hot, off the charts, explosive. So much fire you feel the burn. Following the characters along mesmerized as their personalities blossomed and grew to new heights. Danger and suspense keeps you so deeply immersed that the rest of the world ceases to exist except for whats right in front of your eyes. You are so frozen to your seat afraid to move, that you might miss something. The scenes were so vividly detailed and descriptive that it gives the illusion you were right there in ground zero with them. Demi did a phenomenal job bringing this read together beautifully. Remarkable job Demi and thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
I was provided an ARC of this book and this is my honest review……….
If this is an example of what we can expect from Demi Vice, I can’t wait to see what’s next!! Jack and Ahri are well written, flawed characters with secrets. Their chemistry is palatable, but she isn’t sure of him. The book moves quickly, flows well, and is a great first effort by this author.
Oh, wow what a great read was that. We don’t see many stories when the main characters are actually antiheroes but in this book that past soo goood and makes this book great. Jack and Ahri are both strong characters whit whom life was not easy or generous. They have some heavy connection and their chemistry is burning hot. I liked their story and HEA.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
The butterfly effect
—>>> What a story, livid with details of both characters and events! Jack Baron has a larger-than-life character and even bigger dreams. But a promise was a promise. And he had made one to his prison cell-mate. Once Jack meets Ahri in person, though, his dreams and plans got even bigger, only she didn’t realize it yet. She was real, she met his dirty demands with her own, she accepted him as he was.
Jack is nimble. Jack is quick. And Jack is now determined to keep Ahri in his life. Really looking forward to reading more of this author’s stories in the future!
The Jack’s Heart by Demi Vice is the First book in the Prison Saints Series. This is the story of Jack and Ahri.
Jack served time for something he didn’t do but was given money for his time that he served. When he is getting ready to get out his cell mate who he been with for a while asked that he deliver a letter for him. This leads Jack to meet Ahri where he ends up going along with a misunderstanding because he is so taken with Ahri. Ahri has her own secrets but she is trying to hold down two jobs and school so she stays busy. But each can’t run from the sparks they are feeling.
Enjoyed their story.
Oh man what can I possibly say about this book except it hooked me from the first page and I devoured it in one sitting? The story blew me away with the plot, the characters, the interactions, pretty much of all it was phenomenal. The double life Jack leads in a nice plot point for me, and the way that he and Ahri connects makes me see hearts all over the pages. They’re intense, have amazing chemistry, and I fell in love with both of them.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
You don’t know Jack. Jack is mysterious. Jack of All Trades. Jack has many names, many past jobs, and many past lives. His current focus is retirement and all it has to offer. His little deal with the devil has earned him unimaginable wealth, now what to do?
A prison promise is all it takes to change the course of his life and all those who are dear. Jack is my kind of man. He’s everything you want…
Protective
Caring
A beast in bed
Loyal
Sexy AF
Willing to do anything for those he loves.
What’s not to fall for?
Prison Saints has my attention and I am waiting. I just hope that Demi Vice doesn’t make us wait 7 years.
** spoiler alert ** After 7 years in prison, Jack is now determined to live the life he has always dreamed of. Ahri is struggling to work two jobs and take online classes while trying to straighten out her life. Both have secrets, but their chemistry burns bright. Will Jack admit to his past? Will Ahri finally be relieved of hers?
I LOVED these two characters! I loved how Jack was good spirited, while he could have been horrible. I loved Ahri’s tough personality and how she only really lit up around Jack. Loved how both characters were protective over the other and couldn’t help but give in to what they felt. Great read!!!!
I absolutely floved Jack and Ahri! The blurb doesn’t do this book justice. It was about so much more. Both characters come with baggage and are flawed but their crazy compliments each other. Jack is an ex con, ex hitman, Jack of all trades as he says. But his stand out characteristic to me is his love for Ahri and complete devotion to her, insert swoon here. Ahri is a keeper of secrets, a hard worker, survivor, and in need of someone to love her and slay her demons. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m excited to see what else this new author has in store. I recommend this book to anyone who doesn’t shy away from a little filthy sex and a great love story.
“You’re inked in my soul, branded on my flesh, and carved in my bones. So trust me when I say you’re worth it Ahrianna.” –Jack
If you like your romances to have soft candlelight and roses, then this book is not for you. The Jack’s Heart is a raw, rough and raunchy story about Jack, an ex-con, and Ahrianna, a down and out waitress with a tragic past. As with most romances, Jack becomes Ahrianna’s knight even if his armor is very rusted. But they are perfect together, both equally damaged and cynical with the world. It’s a gritty story with some action that result is some impossible consequences, or non-consequences as the case may be. A great read that’s a little different from the norm.
I received a free copy from Netgalley. This review was posted voluntarily.
This is the first book i have read by this author, and it was a great intro to someone new, and I look forward to reading more by this author is the future. This is the the first book in the Prison Saints series, and the story of Jack, and Ahri. Jack just spent the last 7 years in jail, for a crime he didn’t commit, but he took the blame for, before he leaves his cellmate asks him to deliver a letter to his sister, Ahri. When Jack meets, Ahri, the sparks fly, and the connection is instant. Ahri is working 2 jobs, to get by, and trying to go to school, she’s a fighter, trying to get ahead in life on her own. Jack, and Ahri, are damagaed souls, and they have their own secrets, but the attraction is strong, and they can’t stay away. Jack, and Ahri are knock you socks off hot, and steamy, and the emotional “feels”, are just as strong. This book was intense, passionate, kinky, steamy, emotional, romantic, entertaining, and funny.
I enjoyed the story overall, from the mixed characters to the bedroom scenes which were hot to say at least.
This story it’s angsty and heartbreaking on one hand and fulfilling on the other because of the ending. It shows just how much two persons are made for each other and the Sparks are in from the first look.
The only thing that I didn’t liked was that he was a bit too happy all the time or so it seemed.
I’ll recommend it for a quick and easy read even if it may have triggers for some readers
“You’re not only inked into my soul but branded in my flesh and carved in my bones.”
Raw, gritty, intense. I don’t know where to start with this book. Demi Vice is a new author to me and this book is so, so good. At first, the storyline moves slowly so you can get to know the amazing characters. Then it picks up and unravels bit by bit, fleshing out the pieces that were only hinted at. Beautifully written. This is a long story, and so worth the read. The characters have sad pasts which they have overcome by going into survival mode and doing terrible things.
“Just because you’ve sinned does not make you a sinner. Some of us who’ve sinned still have the heart of a saint.” And that sums up Jack and Ahri, and Luke. There is so much going on, story wise & with the characters, that all I can say is that I was provided with an ARC, and have purchased my own copy because it’s that good.
