This book was amazing! One of the best I’ve read lately. The author develops the characters very well, and the story is so absorbing that I didn’t want to put it down. The location of Cornwall, England is described so well that not only did I feel like I was there, but I’d love to visit someday! Such a skillful author that I’d love to read more of her books. Well done!
This is one of the very few books that I’ve NOT wanted to end and in doing so, wish to immediately read it again. Absolutely mesmerizing, imaginative and one that you will long remember.
wow! what a compelling mystery. deeply wise characters with the depths of pain and mystery coming together and one by one healing each of their hearts and finding answers to their quests! lovely.
So well written, with great characters and enough mystery to keep me interested . I enjoyed it thoroughly !!
A good summer read. I was totally drawn into the story & characters.
The best part of this book for me was the character Nessa. She was courageous to leave her life behind and start out to meet her remaining relatives and to claim her inheritance all on her own. Its very interesting, (although a bit predictable) to see how the story plays out. I couldn’t put it down.
The characters were well defined Each had special qualities – faults and talents that made them personable. Jamie’s personality was probably too abrasive but at least he received his just deserts.
I like stories. This story is of tradition and history versus modern and new. Whichever side wins, some people will prosper and some will not. All in the scenic English countryside. Good story, good characters. You will probably figure out the answer before the end, but it’s still worth the read.
Though somewhat predictable, I enjoyed this story. Images of the run down castle across from the town that loves it, trying to keep it as is. Enjoyable read.
This is a wonderful book that reminds us there is more to life than money.
I truly enjoyed this book! It had believable characters and kept me reading and reading to find out what was going to happen. I highly recommend this book.
Slow beginning but worth it in the end.
This was a nice story with a bit of mystery romance and travel all in one. Also family values, loyalty, love and and trust are intertwined. So is deception which adds to the intrigue.
Loved this book !! My only disappointment was not having the diary there for the readers to read themselves.
Good book with not too predictable family and relationship twists. Too easy to guess the mystery
I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommended!
I loved it
It was a good but could have been fabulous with a more work. The ending was a little weak compared to the rest of the story. However, it was a good story.
Cute story where everyone ends up happy in the end.
Enjoyed this book. Especially appreciated the prologue which established the urge to keep reading
