Becky Sawyer’s life unravels in a single day. Not only does she catch her boyfriend, the man she hoped to marry, lip-locked with another woman, she also receives the gut-wrenching news that her grandfather, the man who raised her, is dying. His last wish? To see her happily married. Heartbroken, Becky seeks inspiration in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. And finds it in the story of Isaac and … Rebekah.
If love couldn’t keep his parents together, Luke Masterson wonders what will make a marriage last. He decides to steer clear of all women—especially crazy ones like Becky Sawyer, who employs a friend to find her a husband. But when he feels the dogged promptings of the Holy Spirit to move across the country and marry a complete stranger, it seems love has little to do with it anyway.
With commitment their only foundation, and love constantly thwarted, can an arranged marriage find happiness in the twenty-first century?

Really enjoyed the modern day take on the Biblical characters of Jacob and Rachel. Gives pause to ponder.
Enjoyable Christian romance with interesting premise.
I liked the way the author pointed out that love is a choice, not just an emotion. I thought the characters in this story were appealing, and I enjoyed the way they found their happy ending.
I loved this creative story!
tjhe use of scripture to guide the characters lives and the intrigue
It kept you reading til the end. Gods ways are definitely not our way
Sorry, but this wasn’t my favorite. The plot was too unrealistic and I never really warmed up to the heroine.
This was a great modern version of the story of Isaac and Rebecca with the characters reversed. The characters were realistic and I enjoyed their journey to happily ever after.
the author switched genders in the bible story and made it work. God was a definite presence not just nominal
Loved it
This book had humor, romance, pain, & dignified death. It was quirky & fun. Sarah is a great writer.
Loved this book! Totally unique storyline. Couldn’t put it down.
A modern version of an ancient match. Inspiring to think there might be a real hero like this.
It was a very good story and the love that was shown by them was very wonderful.
It was a fun read but I feel like so much was left unsaid. It was a rush to the finish line in the end.
Did not appeal.
Well written. Good development of the characters. Great Christian themes and morals throughout the book.
