A Note From Jules:
Be forewarned you might not want to start this book late at night—several readers have reported “gobbling it up” and going on to the next book immediately. This book is literary women’s fiction, it is not a traditional romance, per se.
“If you enjoy Nora Roberts, you’ll like Juliet Gauvin. The Irish Cottage is a fresh take on women’s literary fiction, sometimes light and scrumptious and other times quite profound in its observations on life, love and loss.” -Amazon Review
“A book that conveys the true feelings of Ireland when you visit…it’s a bit of a romance, history, travel, and mystery neatly tied into a book well worth reading.” -Amazon Review
“I started this book and couldn’t put it down. It brought me to Ireland and I never wanted to leave.” -Amazon Review

When I picked up this book I didn’t realize that I had already read it a while back. By the time I did realize it I couldn’t put it down again and I didn’t remember the ending.
I enjoyed the book immensely, But – you must read all three books to get to the happy ending. Of course I did read all three and enjoyed all of them.
Well written, very descriptive, good sense of humor throughout. Good characters.
I enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and not run of the mill. The setting was enchanting and I wish I could visit the cottage. The ending was not what I expected.
Light, comforting, and entertaining! I enjoyed reading this book and I do intend to move on to the second book.
A little too much emphasis on sex for me but excellent character development so worth the read.
VERY EASY TO READ
Too predictable.
Great story & better characters- Just didn’t like that I’m gonna have to read next one for more!
A delightful read. A lesson not to be afraid of life’s changes. Be brave and move on. You never know what lies ahead. Anxious for the next chapter in “The London Flat.”
I like the book because of the locale. It’s some place I want to go someday. I’m just not really into the romantic books anymore. But if that’s what you like you would really like this book. I like the people in the book and I kept reading to see what happened to them. I wanted to see what the letters in the Box led to
Awesome book! I so want to go to Ireland and get an Irish guy for myself. Not what I was expecting, thought it looked a little Maeve Binchy -ish from the cover and title, and maybe it was a little, but so much better.
Really enjoyed this book
Great book, interesting characters and plot. Loved it!
Sometimes I just want a book that I don’t have to think about just read for escape – this book filled that time.
Fun read, will likely read the follow up book.
I purchased because we have a trip to Ireland planned. I loved it and will plan to read more of her work!
pleasant past time and a break from more serious reading. A feel good book but quite predictable.
