A Note From Jules:
Be forewarned you might not want to start this book late at night—several readers have reported “gobbling it up” and going on to the next book immediately. This book is literary women’s fiction, it is not a traditional romance, per se.
“If you enjoy Nora Roberts, you’ll like Juliet Gauvin. The Irish Cottage is a fresh take on women’s literary fiction, sometimes light and scrumptious and other times quite profound in its observations on life, love and loss.” -Amazon Review
“A book that conveys the true feelings of Ireland when you visit…it’s a bit of a romance, history, travel, and mystery neatly tied into a book well worth reading.” -Amazon Review
“I started this book and couldn’t put it down. It brought me to Ireland and I never wanted to leave.” -Amazon Review

An inspirational read of survival and faith.
Very easy read, really enjoyed it!
I loved this book I couldn’t put it down. I felt as though these characters were friends. I have actually read all three in the series and loved them all. I am sorry there are no more in that series
I loved this book so much, once I finished it, I immediately bought the other two in the series. The characters are relateable and flawed, and the relationships are interesting, as is the plot.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, The characters were very realistic and left a lasting impression, leaving you wanting to read the next book in the series.
Another story about beautiful people getting together. The plot seemed a bit contrived – the protagonists’ problems did not seem to be very realistic. Well written book though if you’re up for a steamy romance.
I loved this book! Great development of the characters with wit and humor, very romantic. I loved the details about Ireland, and the characters were very realistic. I love the way the surprise turns were woven in. Can’t wait to finish the rest of the trilogy.
Fun to read- very enjoyable.
Pretty predictable.
HAVE to buy and read ALL THREE books in the series so be aware of that before you read book one!
I didn’t finish The Irish Cottage. Just couldn’t do it. It was too long and drawn out. Elizabeth’s great aunt, that raised her, dies and leaves her 13 letters. After half the book, she has read three of them. There is a big family secret supposed to be exposed, but I thought I would die of old age before she got to the reveal. I finally quit. Won’t be reading anything else by Ms Gauvin. This is the first of three books in this series. Not gonna happen.
A great book to curl up with and escape. Great characters
Made me want to read the other two books in the series. Very enjoyable.
I enjoyed the book. The characters were interesting and like able. The storyline keeps you interested and waiting to see what will happen next. Going to have to read The London Flat to see what becomes of Beth and Connor.
Mediocre romance, but terribly predictable. Same overly emotional story that’s been done over and over. A male and female lead that both have model looks and bodies……blah blah blah…. and he turns out to be irish nobility??? Pleazzzzz….could easily be a C or D rated Lifetime movie.
Fun read with interesting characters. Ended in a cliffhanger!
I got the free book AND bought the next books. I never bye the rest of the series BUT this series was worth it.
A great read.
Great read. Loved the character. Can’t wait for the next!
This one had me right from the start. Two people, so deeply wounded by loss, living in two different worlds yet they find each other after Elizabeth loses her Aunt Mags, the only family member left to raise young Lizzie. Truth lies at the bottom of the story and the real reasons why they are who they are in adulthood. Liz has forgotten her sparkle. Connor has locked away his pain. They find each other at the right time in the right place in a most unusual way. I love this for the subtle nod to PS I love You. Perfect read and could not wait to get to the next chapter. Did NOT want it to end.
You will like it if you like raw unnecessary sex scenes. It took away from the story.
