Devastated and now alone in the world, Beth tries … alone in the world, Beth tries to find peace in a beautiful cottage by Lough Rhiannon, but peace isn’t what fate had in mind. Almost as soon as she arrives, Beth’s solitary retreat into the magic wilds of Ireland is interrupted by Connor Bannon. A man with light brown hair, ice blue eyes and a secret of his own. A Note From Jules:
Be forewarned you might not want to start this book late at night—several readers have reported “gobbling it up” and going on to the next book immediately. This book is literary women’s fiction, it is not a traditional romance, per se.
“If you enjoy Nora Roberts, you’ll like Juliet Gauvin. The Irish Cottage is a fresh take on women’s literary fiction, sometimes light and scrumptious and other times quite profound in its observations on life, love and loss.” -Amazon Review
“A book that conveys the true feelings of Ireland when you visit…it’s a bit of a romance, history, travel, and mystery neatly tied into a book well worth reading.” -Amazon Review
“I started this book and couldn’t put it down. It brought me to Ireland and I never wanted to leave.” -Amazon Review

Not normally my genre but since it was set in Ireland I thought I’d read it and I was pleasantly surprised I really enjoyed the book Thank you
Very predictable. This author isn’t for me
Disappointing.
Loved it couldn’t wait for next one
The first book of a trilogy, the Irish Cottage is an enjoyable read. It was great to escape to Ireland and a engaging story, while a blizzard was raging outside my window.
I enjoyed the Irish setting and the mystery of the romance you have to read all or you’ll be disapointed
I’m not sure about this book, I enjoyed it because it took place in Ireland but the characters were a little over the top. I will read the other 2 in the series some other time.
Three days later, I can barely remember what it was about!
too much of a romance novel for me
Loved it!
looking forward to reading rest of series. too much info/sex for my tastes; otherwise would have been a 5 star
Unnecessary sexual content.
It’s a good thing I bought all three books in the series at once! I read them all on my Kindle, and am in the middle of reading them for a second time. I loved reading all the background of Ireland, and then, in the second book, London, and in the third, Paris. I love reading books where I have to look up words, go on the Internet to view works of art, learn about customs in different countries. The love scenes took getting used to, pretty raw, but they were understandable given the circumstances of the characters. Three three books together present a wonderful novel of a journey of a woman with issues dating back to her childhood beginnings. Great job by the author!
Wonderful, fun, romantic, sexy . . . I really enjoyed this first one of the trilogy. Endearing characters drew me in to their lives.
Charming easy to fall into this tale. Great for a weekend cozy and warm. This story let’s you cheer for the romance. Loved the characters.
Frustrating when you have to continue the series to find out what happens. Don’t bother. Characters are underdeveloped. Silly conflict/ resolution.
wonderfil vision of Ireland, the people the countryside and the charm.
Boring
One of the most inspirational books Ive read in my life- good story, meaty characters – really good read
Trite. No real plot. Basically a romance novel. I’m not into those.
