A Note From Jules:
Be forewarned you might not want to start this book late at night—several readers have reported “gobbling it up” and going on to the next book immediately. This book is literary women’s fiction, it is not a traditional romance, per se.
“If you enjoy Nora Roberts, you’ll like Juliet Gauvin. The Irish Cottage is a fresh take on women’s literary fiction, sometimes light and scrumptious and other times quite profound in its observations on life, love and loss.” -Amazon Review
“A book that conveys the true feelings of Ireland when you visit…it’s a bit of a romance, history, travel, and mystery neatly tied into a book well worth reading.” -Amazon Review
“I started this book and couldn’t put it down. It brought me to Ireland and I never wanted to leave.” -Amazon Review

Part of a series; predictable; wealthy, beautiful characters
Good romantic read. I prefer books that don’t have explicit sex scenes as this one has. 4 stars because it wasn’t a complete story but led you on to read two more books.
It was very realistic, I felt I was there feeling every emotion she felt. The story was inspiring!
I did really enjoy reading this book. I did NOT realize beforehand that the story is not complete in this book, but that there are 2 more to read for the full story.
Enjoy, but be ready to get the other books if you wish to read the whole story:).
The ending leaves a lot to be desired
A great story about someone being brave enough to drop everything – leave their job, home and country – to search for their family. An enjoyable read.
I had high hopes for this book when I started it, as it had an interesting premise. Reevaluating life, after a loss by traveling. However, by the end, I was disappointed. It was just another typical romance novel, after all. I found it predictable and apparently just a vehicle to move the main character into book 2. I didn’t buy the ending at all.
I loved this book!! Cannot wait to read the next.
I didn’t care for it
Didn’t expect the ‘one look and I’m lusting.’ I’m not normally into romance but the story and characters keep me interested
I haven’t read a series in a long time that has made me laugh out loud and cry along with the characters. It is very well written and will suck you right in.
Liked this book and went on to read two more in the series….the first two being the best!
Romance with tragic past, classic combination
Terrible. Glad I got it for free.
I read this awhile ago and thought it was really good. Kept my attention throughout.
Loved the trilogy books!
I didn’t finish this book. It was too crude and raunchy for my taste.
Truly enjoyed this book.
drew me in. enjoyed. couldn’t put it down had to get the other books to see how there romantic unfolded
Did not like the ending. Otherwise it was a great book.
