Five divine stars! C’est un livre fantastique qui m’a tout le temps au bord de mon siège ! Ethan m’a ruiné!
Holy.Batman.And.Robin! The Invisible Thread was everything to me and more. I was left broken after reading The Power to Break and now I am complete again because of this book. The Unbreakable Thread Series is the best enemies-to-lovers romance I’ve read over the year. Each book twisted my insides in the best ways possible. The first book broke me and the second one glued all my pieces together. Ethan and Maci deserved a great ending and Lisa Suzanne has done a great work again!
I had an intense mix of feelings that drained me completely leaving me with a big book hangover. How many times an author can break you and put the pieces back together? I don’t know the answer to that question. I have experience it many times with Lisa’s books. She is the only one who can break me with her wonderful and brilliant books. Her writing is clean, elegant and too addictive. Her characters always steal a piece of my heart (especially her male characters).
The Invisible Thread is the conclusion of Ethan and Maci’s love story. They are complicated and complex characters who have a deep connection from the begging. They had shared a past that destroyed a part of their souls. Ethan’s words hurt badly Maci and she planned revenge against Ethan. She has lived to hurt him the same way he hurt her with his words. But her revenge turned against her because her heart still beat because of the bad boy who broke her heart: the sinful drummer of VAIL. Maci needs to forget and forgive. Ethan needs to apologize and forgive. Forgiveness will be needed in both sides.
This book is about a beautiful and intense romance between two souls who will discover that when they are mean to be together, it doesn’t matter anything, nothing can separate them. They will be bounded forever. Love can resist anything. Maci and Ethan will discover love in a different way. Ethan has never experienced it before and Maci will teach him and will break him before she can be honest and accept him as the good man he is. Ethan has many layers than protect him, like an onion. He can be hard but he is sensible to. His soul is beautiful. He hides the good inside each layer that protect him from getting closer to people.
Maci and Ethan are destined to be together. Fate has done a spectacular show of their love. But can love survive hate and lies?
I absolutely love everything about this book. The pace is fast. The characters are wonderful. The plot is refreshing and unique. C’est un livre fantastique qui m’a tout le temps au bord de mon siège ! Qui peut résister à un batteur sexy et un mauvais garçon? Je ne peux pas ! Ethan m’a ruiné! Lisa Suzanne is a fantastic writer that never disappoints me. This time she delivered a mind-blowing duet that will remind you that some people are meant to be together because fate has sealed their life. Be prepared for a wonderful journey in company of Ethan and Maci. Their love will blow your mind far away. This book is perfect for those readers who crave an intense and beautiful romance. I recommend you this series without hesitation! Five stars are not enough for the epic conclusion of one of the best rock-star romance Series that I had the pleasure to read over the year.
What an amazing conclusion to an incredible duet!!
After reading The Power to Break (if you haven’t yet…..you really should), I was eagerly anticipating this story and it was definitely worth the wait!! It was everything I hoped it would be and more. And after finishing, the story solidified the fact that Ethan Fuller is my favorite rocker book boyfriend…..ever. There was just something about him and how he was with Maci that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Ethan really showed a depth to his character in this story, and I’m so thankful we got to see that side to him. The road for Maci & Ethan definitely wasn’t an easy one, but it made the bond between them even stronger.
I just love the boys of Vail and the world Lisa Suzanne has created for these characters. I hope there will be other stories for them as I just am not ready for this to be the end.
I loved this series. There is the story of love, sex, and rock, but then there is the underlying story of forgiveness. This is the second book in the series. Maci has let one overheard negative comment that she heard Ethan say back when they were in high school direct her whole life, and put her on a path of revenge and lies. Ethan has led a life of a rock star, as he has tried to forget that young, innocent girl that he kissed when he was in high school. As they come together again, Lisa Suzanne has written a book that is so hard to put down, with lots of surprises, and it has so much meaning. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.
“You can’t stop destiny.”
The Invisible Thread is book two in The Unbreakable Thread Series. And to me a great conclusion to Ethan and Maci’s story. I enjoyed every page of their journey, on the road to finding the person who’s holding the thread.
“She is home. She’s the piece I didn’t even know was missing.”
With the turns of events at the end of The Power To Break the road turned a lot more rockier for Maci and Ethan. Obstacles like lies, trust issues, holding on grudges and things that happened in the past threaten the road to break open. Also hearing the truth hurts, and has the power to break you. But once it is out, you can work with it, find a way to heal.
“Because after all, the ones who we love the most wield the strongest power to hurt us.”
Mace becomes more and more the girl she tried so hard to leave behind. Her tough shell breaks and even though she comes out a stronger woman, able to fight for what she wants and believes is right, she accepts somehow, she’s still Dani, too.
“She somehow bought and paid for every black shard of my heart that I never knew was for sale.”
Through Maci, Ethan starts to turn into the man he never thought he wanted to be. His love for Maci makes him want to be a better man, to grow up, to man up. He starts to process feelings he never knew and has no idea to deal with them.
“I’ll still love her even if she doesn’t love me back. I’ll love her even if she never wants anything to do with me ever again. I’ll love her until my last breath.”
The Invisible Thread is a nice page-turner, easy to read and enjoy. But compared to the first book, something was missing. I can’t really pinpoint it. Maybe it’s just a feeling. However, this book deserves fully 4 stars.
“We have a lot to work out and a lot to get past. It won’t be easy, but the road to finding the person holding your thread never is. I think this is merely the first chapter of our story, Mace.”
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The Invisible Thread is book two in The Unbreakable Thread series. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read The Power To Break first. I loved this one. We get a little more of Ethan and Maci’s past in this one. In this one all the secrets and lies come out. Oh boy, this was a emotional roller coaster of a read. It had ups and downs. At a few points I wanted to throw my kindle at Ethan because he was frustrating me. Ya, I know it’s Maci keeping most of the secrets but the way Ethan handled them had me mad at him. Both Maci and Ethan have gone through so much and their characters go through amazing growth in this one. I couldn’t help but root for them to get a happy ever after.
This story where do I even start from? I loved everything about it. From the heartache to the full out laughs, I was glued to the pages each and every time I turned the page. Lisa really did an amazing job with Ethan and Maci. They are my fav couple of all time. Everything about this story really flowed, and the best part I wasn’t lost or confused about any of it. The love story that came to shine in the end was well worth it. I also really liked how this story picked up were book 1 stopped I loved that. Made reading it that much better. I really loved how the title came from the story, how it tied in and became this really important part was amazing. Let’s talk about that ending I was jaw dropped and in love with the ending more then I was the whole story ok no the whole story but wow it was fast forward to the future will ya. Drool all down my face from reading that more so then the flaming hott sex scenes. Those you don’t want to miss out on the details of those are laterally amazing. MUST READ
***I received this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, this is all me, myself and I. NO one told me what to write at all***
So I thought this book would pick up exactly where book one left off but no, thankfully it starts in the past.
With the night Maci’s mom got killed. She’s in so much pain and yet she hasn’t spoken to her dad in fifteen years just like Ethan with his dad. There are so many things going on between these two people who clearly love each other. Honestly I can’t see a way back for these two but this writer has a way to get it done. Sometimes the fear of losing who you love wakes you the hell up. This story was emotional, and romantic and steamy. It was a wonderful love story. It was an epic ending with so much love I actually got misty. It was perfect and I highly recommend it.
Never have I finished a book and run so fast to get the second one. I was at the store listening to book one on audible when it ended, and I immediately started book 2. I was so glad I had it loaded because that ending on book 1 was like… Aghhhh, ugh, noooo, what!!!!!
Ethan and Maci continue their tour/war together, with quite a few twists and surprises thrown in.
I loved how the story unfolded and how they had to push and push back. I want to hold off from saying much more because I don’t want to reveal any spoilers. But trust that this book is just as fun and sexy as the first one.
I loved the theme of the invisible thread in this story b/c when I first met my husband forever ago, he told me I was the other half of his imaginary string, and that is why we found each other and are together. Aww. Isn’t that the sweetest thing ever? This story spoke about that belief me and my husband still share to this day. It made it especially endearing for me!
Read in April 2018
This is the 5th book set in The VAIL world & I have LOVED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! I can’t wait for the next VAIL series! I love these boys so much! I’m sad I’m finished, but I LOVED how it ended! All the happy tears & ALL THE FEELS! Reading this book gave me hope that my guy is out there somewhere holding the other end of my Invisible Thread & that I’ll meet him one day! I’m going to miss spending my afternoons & nights with Ethan, Maci, Mark, Reese & the whole Gang! I’m hoping for more of my VAIL Boys soon!! I need more of Ethan & Maci, & Mark & Reese!! I swear the epilogue always ends up being my absolute favorite part of the entire book! #Fate #AllTheFeels #VAILBOYS #ETHANandMACI #THEINVISIBLETHREAD #THEUNBREAKBALETHREAD
This is the second book in the Unbreakable Thread series and continues Maci and Ethan’s story so The Power To Break should be read first.
Maci and Ethan’s relationship has always been one that’s filled with lies, betrayal and revenge but now that Maci’s secret is out there, things are about to get even more messed up between them. Stuck on tour they need to find a way to be around each other without killing the other but with them both still straddling the line between love and hate they’ve got their work cut out for them.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve loved Maci and Ethan from the start but I felt like something was missing from this book. It’s got the lies, angst and hate/love that I normally can’t get enough of but it still felt like there was something missing. Overall I did really enjoy this book and would definitely recommend this series especially if you’re an angst lover.
