Dick Wolf, the celebrated creator of the Law & Order television franchise, makes his literary debut with The Intercept, a taut, driving thriller reminiscent of the classic The Day of the Jackal.
Days before the July Fourth holiday and the dedication of One World Trade Center at Ground Zero, an incident aboard a commercial jet reminds everyone involved that vigilance saves lives.
But New … that vigilance saves lives.
But New York Police detective Jeremy Fisk—from the department’s Intelligence Division, a well-funded anti-terror unit modeled upon the CIA—suspects that the event is a warning sign that another, potentially more extraordinary scheme has been set in motion. So when a passenger from the same plane disappears into the crowds of Manhattan, it’s up to Fisk and his partner Krina Gersten to find him before the celebrations begin… And time is running out.

Dick Wolf has proven he’s a master storyteller in any form. The Intercept is gripping, telling and timely. Bottom line: It’s a great read!
Dick Wolf’s The Intercept is nail-biting, page-turning, twisty suspense. Warning: If you value sleep, don’t start this one late at night.
An adrenaline-fueled, ripped-from-the-headlines suspense novel, as befitting a renowned TV crime drama writer and producer. The Intercept goes where few thrillers have gone before . . . It does for the NYPD’s Intelligence Division what Thomas Harris did for the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit.
Fascinating, tense, and twisty—the real deal.
The Intercept is the hottest thriller of the year. Superbly written and amazingly intense, Dick Wolf has created an action-packed masterpiece. Picture Robert Ludlum writing for “24” and you’re only halfway there. Do not miss this incredible novel. Intercept yours ASAP!
A thriller that grabs your attention on page one and holds it until the breathtaking ending. Jeremy Fisk of the NYPD’s Intelligence Division will enter literature’s Great Detectives Hall of Fame. I hope to see more of him. . . It’s a head above most War on Terrorism novels.
This book was suspenseful yet the writing style was very readable. The story was very good, and plausible. The characters were well developed and likeable. I went to the library and checked out his other Jeremy Fisk novel to read!
Some of the book was so predictable and then other parts of the book were not at all it was a very realistic book it wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t my least favorite either
Great blend of factual basis with a good story. I did counter-terror for some time, and this brought back many memories.
Wish Dick Wolf would write the third book in this series
disappointing
Couldn’t put the book down. Wanted to read until my eyes could not stay open.
While the story was certainly a different approach to the typical race-to-thwart-the-terrorists plot, it felt like there were a lot of things missing from this one. No witty dialog. No real attempt at character building. It’s like the reader was just watching things unfold from afar instead of being involved in the story. And I saw the final …
Main character seems to be the male lead of the new FBI series on CBS. I like having his backstory…makes him much more relatable and sympathetic.
Great read
Classic Dick Wolf-like watching Law and Order in the book. Well written and entertaining, as expected.
It left me wanting to read all his books ASAP!
Love this series.
Fast-paced, neat little twist at the end
