They’ll do anything for a second shot at forever.
When Cole McGregor entered my life, my whole world changed. My new neighbor was older, gorgeous, and the Irish accent had me swooning. And no matter what, he was always there for me, but only as a friend.
The day I walked out of his life without a trace . . . I’d left not as a young girl with a crush but as a woman in love.
I regretted my … woman in love.
I regretted my decision to leave Cole behind, but I never doubted the reason for my choice–the chance to find my brother even if I also found myself caught up in a shadowy world of danger.
Now, years later, my path has crossed Cole’s again, and this time, in his home of Dublin. I’ve been through so much since I left New York, and I’m not prepared to share my secrets with anyone, not my brother, and especially not Cole.
With Cole stepping into an influential role in the city, one that comes with significant risk as he tries to take down the corrupt from the inside, I’m not sure if I’ll ever earn redemption or another chance at love. And with each passing moment, I know one thing for certain–the truth always comes out, and once it does, there’ll be no turning back.
The billionaire Irish McGregor family returns in this hot friends-to-lovers romantic suspense.
Although The Inside Man is a standalone novel, it is highly recommended The Real Deal be read first.

I received an ARC for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you asked me last year who was a favorite man from the Dublin series I would have said, Sebastian. Now if you ask me who my favorite fictional character Brittney has written, I would say Cole. I know…Liam has been dethroned. I wasn’t an easy decision, but Brittney has a way of writing gripping characters who take up space in my soul.
Alessia Romano was held hostage in a Russian prison for 4 years. She was presumed dead by someone close to her brother Sebastian. However, that information was untrue. Alessia may be back with her brother and the one man who she has secretly loved since she was 17. Cole may be taking over her brother’s position, but it doesn’t mean she wants him to be in harm’s way. Things may appear to be going well, but there are secrets Alessia has yet to reveal that may put the ones she loves in danger.
“The girl I used to be. The woman I’d become…the person I was now didn’t belong. She didn’t fit. Not anywhere. A part of me was still being held captive in that prison in Russia, and I needed to find a way out of there if I wanted any shot at normal.”
Cole McGregor may be a billionaire, but since finding Alessia he has traded his office for the title of League Leader of Dublin. There may be a 6 year age difference between Cole and Alessia, but he isn’t about that to let it stop him anymore. Now is his chance to not only prove he be as threatening as Sebastian and have the one woman he has always loved and protected.
“I went to Italy. I found your BMW rental, but not you. After you emailed, I didn’t give up. I traced you to Barcelona. Rome. Hong Kong. Dubai. Istanbul. And Prague…….I flew all over the world until I finally accepted the fact that you just didn’t want me to find you.”
You guys I have no words for how amazing this book was and how it is officially my new favorite. Everything about this story flows like the rapids in North Carolina. There are twists and turns, highs and lows. There is love and there is heartache. There is also a whole hell of a lot of healing! Alessia is one tough chick and I know I have said that before about others, but to be imprisoned by Luca the snake for 4 years and come out alive is mind-blowing. I love the fact Alessia talked to Brittney so her story could be told. Also, I can 100% relate to Alessia with not liking the flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz. I watched the movie when I was 6 and went to bed thinking the squirrels jumping from the trees to our house were the monkeys coming for me. It still a story my mom tells anyone and everyone she can!
Cole sounds like sex on a stick. I mean holy cannoli. I love the way Brittney gives just enough detail about her characters that your mind can creatively discover the rest of her characters. He is a beautiful strong man, who has a temper when one is needed and baby gloves when needed as well.
Not to give too much away, but while Alessia was held captive in Russia she wrote letters to Cole. Brittney did an amazing job with the first letter and from then on I knew I was in love with Cole and Alessia, but even more, I felt like I knew them personally and wanted to take away Alessia’s pain and hug Cole that everything would be alright. This is the type of writer Brittney is, she captivates your mind and your heart with her characters.
“It beeps only for you, remember? Unconditionally”
I highly recommend this book. I do however also recommend you read Sebastian’s book so get more of a back story on Alessia. I also love the continuation with everyone in the McGregor family and the League. Also, am I the only person who gets a new book from Brittney and immediately goes to the end to see what the playlist looks like?
Brittney another hit. Strong characters who love very deeply for years even though they are separated by fate and others, and knowing that you must sacrifice for those you love .
The Inside Man IGNITES the Outside World!
When the outside world is chaos, what you find in between the covers of a book gives you somewhere to escape. Encountering the streets of Dublin, enjoying a glass of Jameson, eating that long awaited Shepherd’s Pie and Beer Bread, that is what this book does!
Cole and Alyssa’s story is a complex story about love, intrigue, self-sacrifice, loneliness, and passion. This story has been in the making since these two met during childhood and Cole’s protectiveness only grows stronger with each passing year. Then, Alyssa disappears and begins a search for her brother, Sebastian and Cole collides on a personal path of destruction. These childhood friends embark on different paths and are ripped apart in physical and emotional ways. Neither really moves on until that fateful day that FATE again places them both back on common ground.
This spiraling journey will revisit their past, persevere their present, and pave a way for their future. I really don’t know how Brittney sets us up on these journeys, but we happily follow trudging up and down for a roller coaster full of rides. This is one of those books that I couldn’t put down and I find myself wondering where we will to next. So, we wait with anticipated breath for Sean and Emilia’s book which will be explosive!
I received an advance reader’s copy of The Real Deal, thank you Brittney for this wonderful opportunity.
“Make me yours.”
“You’re already mine,”
(all of the swooning)
Cole & Alessia’s book was absolutely amazing!!
Meeting Alessia in her brother Sebastian’s book I couldn’t wait for her story. She was put through the ringer and I felt so sorry for her.
I liked Cole in Sebastian’s book but damn in this book… Wowzers you get to know him alot more and I just loved him even more.
The whole story was perfect. I had tears, a few giggles and a few moments where I was like “Damn I need a fan to cool myself down” haha.
“I forgive you,” This part absolutely KILLED Me!! Like I was full on crying #MyPoorHeart
If you’ve read any of Brittney’s book you know there’ll be romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. But who doesn’t love those kinda books.
Loved this story. Cole is one great hero and loved find a his friend to loved women ..hard to hang on to ,put he never lets go …your all gonna fall in love with these two..Beautifully written…another great Brittany read.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I love the Dublin Nights series and being able to read Cole’s story has seriously put me in all of my feels. I have been waiting for his book since he was first mentioned. And I am so very excited that his time for his HEA is here. Alessia is everything he ever needed, even when he was fighting against himself over her because of her age.
The suspense in this book is everything I have come to love from Brittney Sahin. It kept me on the edge of my seat, needing to know what happens next. I couldn’t stop reading, couldn’t put the book down because I knew I wouldn’t be able to do anything until I knew how it all ended.
This childhood friends to lovers literally had me on my knees. From the flashbacks to their past, to her past, to their present together, it was everything. I fell in love with Cole and all of his overprotective, growly ways. I fell in love with Alessia and her strength and perseverance.
As always, Brittney’s attention to detail had me right there in the story, like I was watching a movie and it was all taking place right in front of me. I was no longer reading, but involved in the book. And every single step, direction, thought, action… I was watching all of it unfold.
Five stars for this on the edge of your seat, thrilling romantic suspense that will have you on your knees, falling in love with Cole and Alessia and for sure needing to know what happens with Sean and Emilia!
I know I say this with every book, but goodness Brittney is an awesome writer. This book….I have no words.
Cole may very well be my new favorite McGregor. He knows what he wants and he’s not going to let anyone or anything get in his way.
Alessia has to overcome many obstacles to hopefully get back to the woman she used to be.
You’ll fall in love with the McGregor family all over again or begin to love them.
I highly recommend reading the books in The Dublin Nights series in order. You will not be disappointed. On the Edge was my first Brittney Sahin book and I was hooked. You’ll be hooked too!!!
Brittney Sahin has done it again. She’s completely captivated me and made it so I had to put off adulting so I could find out what happens next to Cole and Alessia. Yes, The Inside Man is a stand alone story, but I would highly recommend the entire series as I completely love the world Brittney has created in her Dublin Nights Series.
Alessia has been found alive after spending nearly four years in a prison and being thought dead by her friends and family. What she wants most is to be loved by her family and the man she’s kept in her heart since she was seventeen. But will they love her unconditionally because being in prison has changed her and she’s not sure she can let them see how much.
Cole McGreggor has stepped into a role he’s never expected. But to keep his loved ones and his country safe, he must do what is expected of him, even if it means putting his own desires on the back burner. Now that Alessia is has been found alive, he will stop an nothing to guarantee she is safe.
I completely devoured this book. I loved the backstory of Cole and Alessia and I couldn’t love them more. I need more from this world because I never wanted it to end.
Well done, Brittney. I am dying to know what you have in store for Sean McGreggor next.
Each book in this series is better than the last. I absolutely love the attention the author places on details and she weaves them into the story in a way that is both suspenseful and intriguing. I loved that Alessia and Cole were both on the same page with their relationship. With all the outside turmoil, there was no need for heavy angst among them. Cole was supportive of Alessia’s struggles following her imprisonment. The story was intense and fast paced, while also packing some serious heat between Alessia and Cole. I love any time I get glimpses of beloved characters from the previous books in the series, and there were plenty throughout. Fantastic read, definitely recommend!
Brittney Sahin does it again! The Inside Man might just be my favorite book in the series now. This book just hooks you from the very start and doesn’t let you go even if you’ve read it again and again (which is pretty much true with all her books!). The strength and resilience of both lead characters, the undeniable chemistry, and the emotions coming out of this book are amazing! Dublin Nights the series just keeps getting better and better!
This series just keeps getting better and better!
My heavens this book had me on the edge of my seat as I flipped the pages to see how Cole McGregor & Alessia Renaud’s love story would turn out.
This book is riddled with suspense, a web of lies and enough sexual tension to burn you through your kindle. Cole and Alessia both had secrets and a past that they were afraid to share and dump into the other’s lap. The issue was that filthy little past did not want to stay in the past. And boy did we have a lot to discover along the way. I loved every second of the unveiling of this web.
The pain and anguish that Alessia had gone through while she was locked away were tremendous. While she was away Cole has become one of the leaders in the League. A secret society ran by the rich to keep the Alliance a nasty corrupt organization at bay.
The push and pull between Alessia and Cole had me rooting for them and fanning myself. I loved it! Cole is one hot man. I loved how much this powerful only loved his girl. He could care less about anyone else. He only wanted his Alessia. His heart only beeped for hers.
Not going to lie, the ending of this book left me with major hopes on who that next book was about. I will not give anything away. But you know Brittney. She loves leaving us with little clues as you read along. You should know who it is for before the end.
One-click this baby!! You know you need it in your life!
I was given an early ARC of the book to see if there were any misspelled words. I got so caught up with this magnificent beautiful story that I completely forgot to look . Aleesia and Cole story took you through all there ups and downs and their adventures and their Love story. Brittney had me on the edge of my seat with all that Aleesia endured from Luca . I just wanted to end his life too. I’m looking forward to the next book
Brittney Sahin has a way with her writing, that when her characters are describing what is unfolding in that current scene , you get a visual that is so clear that you feel as if you’ve been transported into the actual book. For this reason I felt a deeper connection to the story!!!!
The Inside Man was a thrilling, intense and it was more emotional than the previous books. Cole and Alessia story takes on a gripping ride. There was so much suspense throughout , seriously couldn’t predict any of what unfolded.
If you’ve read the previous books, all of our favorites are back especially Sebastian ( yes all the swooning over him will continue lol) If this is your first time reading this series, no fret, you get enough summary of the previous books and this is a true stand alone.
Alessia and Cole’s story is a slow burn. These two have a consuming chemistry but it’s just never is the right time for them to have their moment. I liked Alessia, she’s a sweetheart but umm there were some moments where she worked my nerves LOL. I kept screaming, Alessia get your s**t together woman. Cole he’s that guy that you can’t help but love. He’s always doing the right thing, no matter what it cost him. Yes he got yelled at too, but that was expected when emotions take over, lol.
Looking forward to the next installment from this series!!!!!!
The Inside Man delivers a knockout punch!
The Inside man continues the story of family McGregor where Cole becomes the new League Leader in Ireland. After years of being apart, Cole and Alessia were given a second chance at love. But in order to find peace, one must fight the demons of the past. Someone carries a deep secret that will put everyone at risk. Unexpected events will unfold, an old foe becomes an ally, and evil will find its way out again. But like the old saying says, “love conquers all!” You will enjoy this new installment of the Dublin series.
Brittney is a master storyteller. She takes you in a journey that branches out to different stories and all ends up to one destination. This is one of the best books to read during quarantine time.
I was given an ARC for an honest review.
Wow!! Another amazing book by Brittney! Girl I don’t know how you keep doing it but please keep it up!!
I loved Cole and Alessia Their story had it all! I had a hard time putting it down because I wanted to put all the pieces together of this story. This book was jam packed with romance and suspense from beginning to end. I love how the family is so close and bond together to always have each other’s backs.
I can not wait for Sean and Emelias story next. I would say it can’t be better than what you have already done but each and everytime you write another book you out do yourself! Keep up the great writing #fanforlife
Brittney you have done it again! Great story, it was heart racing, hot, and sad all at the same time. I could not put it down, I couldn’t read it fast enough to see what happens. I can not wait for the next story! This series is definitely another one of my favorites.
Oh. My. Goodness! This story was EXCELLENT! It pulls you in from page one and never lets go. An emotional storyline with so many facets and emotions. I did not want this book to end. Cole and Alessia story are an amazing couple and go through SO much. You will absolutely love this book. I highly recommend it!
Once again Brittney Sahin has sucked me in with her story telling. The Dublin Nights Series continues with Cole and Alessia’s. The story has romance, action and adventure. It is one of those books you just can’t put down. You also get a tease of who will be the next main characters in the next book of this series. With each book, it becomes my favorite, only to be replaced by her next. Great series!!!!
My taste in books wanders from different genres and always comes back to Brittney who brought me a love of books I didn’t know I had in a genre I didn’t know I even liked. The Dublin series was one of the first books I read on my kindle and since then I have followed all her novels.
This book has to be one of her bests. It keeps you guessing with secrets and background stories. Your heart absolutely physically hurts as you read for Cole and Alessia. I didn’t sleep while I disappeared into their story that was so intricate. Alessia is a strong yet broken character that I think a lot of people can relate to. We put ourselves together to survive the situations around us and she goes a step further. The flashbacks to the prison were so well described I could picture it perfectly in my mind, and my heart broke everytime. Luca is a character you can hate while Cole is the ultimate lover, so patient yet so ripped apart. Cole is not a rough and tumble tough guy and is learning the ropes of his new situation and dealing with the pain of what Alessia went through and the regrets in his life.
This book will not disappoint you and is now my number one favourite book.
I’ve enjoyed this series from Brittney Sahin, but WOW! This one is fantastic. The story starts off with such good detail on the back-story and when you think you can predict what will come next, you are wrong! So very wrong. This was beyond unpredictable – and kept me on my toes while reading. As always, looking forward to the next book in the series! Congratulations Brittney on an exceptional job.
