Until now.
A Texas oil billionaire has hired her to find his daughter who vanished in Africa four years ago. It’s not her usual line of work, but she can’t resist the challenge. If she has any hope of escaping the jungle and the demons that drive her, she must come face-to-face with the past that she’s tried for so long to forget.
The first book in the Vanessa Michael Munroe series, gripping, ingenious, and impeccably paced, The Informationist marks the arrival or a thrilling new talent.
“Stevens’s blazingly brilliant debut introduces a great new action heroine, Vanessa Michael Munroe, who doesn’t have to kick over a hornet’s nest to get attention, though her feral, take-no-prisoners attitude reflects the fire of Stieg Larsson’s Lisbeth Salander….Thriller fans will eagerly await the sequel to this high-octane page-turner.”

Well written, suspenseful
Really great book with strong and clever leading female character. A little bit reminiscent of the girl with the dragon tatoo, in the sense of a smart heroine who’s a problem solver, but this heroine is also a physical force to be reckoned with.
This is a wonderful book, the first of what I think is a woefully undervalued series.
wow. electric. great protagonist.
A fresh face in the hard boiled female fighter. A little unrealistic, but great entertainment and an escape from reality. Unusual and exotic setting.
Love, love, love this book. Immediately read the entire series. I adore Munroe. I don’t always enjoy books in this genre, but this series is amazing!!!
Wow…top notch, couldn’t put it down from page one!
Enjoyed so much I had to read the rest of the books in the series. Vanessa Michael Monroe is such a great character.
I like this first book in the series but I don’t think that the main character should be compared to Lisbeth Salander in the Millennium Series. This character doesn’t draw me in quite like Lisbeth, but I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Highly recommended.
The first book in the Vanessa Michael Monroe series. It’s full of thrill, mystery, action and psychologically twisted information. The main character is a very strong female heroine who can deal it out and take it whatever the job may require. She knows how to obtain, retrieve, analyze and strategize information from any source and she is the …
Really enjoyed this book, it was action packed. I. know it’s fictional, but i think it has some reality based in how these foreign countries deal with crime and foreigners.
Once i read this book i then read all her novels with this character.
I loved this book! Complex characters, unique plot, fascinating setting- it has everything to make a great thriller. I was never quite sure where the storyline would take me as a reader. I felt as though I truly got an experience of traveling to a different country and experiencing a totally distinctive culture. The characters hooked you in and …

Great series with a fierce flame solving mysteries and conquering evil b
clever, inspirational and quirky heroine
I cared about the fully developed characters. The background was vivid with details that created an atmosphere that made sense of connecting the past with the present. I highly recommend this whole series.
