Rex Dalton, the former black ops field agent, and his best friend, Digger, the former military dog, are exploring the remarkable history of Peru when they befriend a retired American couple. The couple invites them to join their expedition to a remote village high up in the Andes Mountains to inspect an archaeological site in which they want to invest.
But on arrival in the village, it doesn’t … arrival in the village, it doesn’t take long for Rex to discover that his new friends are victims of a cleverly designed con. This con is run by people who will do anything to make sure Rex and Digger don’t interfere.
THE INCA CON is a full-length novel, a nail-biting thriller by best-selling author JC Ryan. It is the fifth book in the electrifying new Rex Dalton series.

Well researched and want you to visit the country.
Good thriller, original characters.
Another good book by JC Ryan featuring the indomitable Rex Dalton & his doggie pal! (Love the dog!) Appreciated, as usual, no abundance of profanity & only a tiny bit of sexual content (w/no details).
This was an interesting, totally believable this kind of thing could happen.
Another action packed travel of Max and Digger
Good but not the best in the series.
Did not enjoy it at all
Interesting setting, believable action, women’s roles appropriately active. Ending somewhat cliched with protagonist “riding off into the sunset,” but I’m willing to spend more time with this author’s writing.
I liked the historical information about Peru and how the people who journeyed there ended up saving a village from future pillage and the schemes to catch the offenders !
Another great book by this author. This one was very informative about the Incan Empire and current-day Peruvians.
This book is about a drifter named Rex and his dog Digger.. They discover an old couple at an archeological site who are being conned by artifact smugglers. Rex and his dog Digger stop them.
First writing i have read of JC Ryan.
This is a very entertaining reading however the plot is not so uncommon for those who live in South America or anywhere were ancient civilizations can be found. There´s always a lot of misguided people trying to take advantage of the naive ones, unfortunately. Loved to read how Rex and Digger without many people and guns were able to fight the intruders and also to make a good deed for the village where all the action takes place.
There is a lot of action and interesting characters and also some telling of ancient inca history and legends.
I downloaded a free copy of this book through Amazon and this is my unbiased review.
I have enjoyed the entire series
Love the whole series
I especially love the term man jammies. Seriously it is a very good series of books. Its fast paced, the characters are great and all around a good read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another good tale about a man and his dog. Different ending than I expected, but, perhaps we will see Lucianna again.
Great story and characters and could see this being done
Rex Dalton is a trained military man, mercenary, covert ops specialist, and more. This is the first book I’ve read with him as a character, and he was likeable enough if a bit stereotypical. The saving grace in characters was Digger, a dog trained In military commands to work as a canine soldier. The story’s premise, that someone could set up a con to rip off gullible, touristy, amateur archeological sorts, was pretty straightforward. One interesting subplot was the unexplained illness of the village children. If you like thrillers centered around conflicts, you may enjoy this book.
I fall in love with the character great book great writing action-packed I keep writing fast I read all your books
