Middle aged, disappointed and self-loathing, Adam Camp is anything but the picture of a successful man. With his wife threatening to leave him and their son addicted to drugs, Adam teeters on the verge of absolute despair — questioning his own existence and purpose for living.
After an explosive argument with his wife, Adam searches for an escape as he sets out on a journey that will … dramatically recolor his world. While walking through the city park, Adam is approached by an old painter. The mysterious artist convinces Adam to let him paint his portrait and what happens next is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Interesting way that the author has a stranger relate to a discouraged and disillusioned man who feels that he’s a failure. The stranger is a painter who listens to the man’s pain and paints his picture while sharing about the Lord, It is rather a unique way to do so. The painter says that it’s his ministry.
I really wanted to get into this book. It just wasn’t one I enjoyed. Never finished it.
I found myself wanting to put the book down to take notes. The book takes a creative approach (although it took me a few pages to get into it) and is filled with wisdom doled out in an unusual and attractive way. Not until I got to the end did I run across the info about the author. A counselor! No wonder my counselor’s heart was drawn into this …
Another book with great life-lessons. The book is a little shorter than I expected. Had a somewhat abrupt ending. But it was a good read.
I thought it was inspired and made me think! I loved this book.
This was a good inspirational story of a family that is being torn apart by work habits and no personal family life. After being asked for a divorce, he goes out jogging through the park and comes across a man who asked to paint his portrait. A little skeptical he does and spends hours talking with this man, When he sees the final painting, he is …
I thought I was going to learn about fighting fairly in marriage, but this book taught me much more about forgiveness and the unfair events in life. Great read.
This was an unusual approach to finding your way through difficult days in life. The characters were realistic and their story touching. It was a good read . Inspiring and I am glad I read it.
Interesting read.
Good for the new Christian.
Uplifting and well written.
I loved the way this book (novel) had a way of speaking to every heart in the world today. It’s not easy to bring a Christ filled topic to those who don’t understand Chrisisnity. Perfect story line from beginning to end.
A little too slow moving for me.
Really Enjoyed this book Held my Interest

I thought this book was one of the best I read in a while. Shows how much Christ loves us and is there for us when we reach out.
Wonderful and thought provoking
Very thought provoking read. Reminded me of Andy Andrews writing.
This book will surprise you, as the characters continue to amaze you.
A good and decent read with an excellent message.
