I never set out to be famous. It sort of fell into my lap.Just like Finn.He was exactly what I needed in an assistant, and the exact opposite of everything I looked for in a guy, which made hiring him an easy decision. It was perfect. Then it wasn’t.One by one, I started to fall for all of Finn’s imperfections, leaving me to question…Was I simply looking for all the wrong things in a man? Or was … for all the wrong things in a man? Or was Finn perfect because he was imperfect?

“I believe that someone can love me,” I argued.
“Oh, yeah?” She cocked her head to the side and leaned against the doorframe. “Then how come you couldn’t accept it from me?”
Mady is a sensation on Instagram. Her career is on the rise and her sister’s help is not meeting the demand. With her workload growing, she needs an assistant. And that’s why she’s on her way to an interview with a potential candidate. But it can be said that she will have an unexpected surprise.
Finn has an established career, but his life is at a standstill. Needing a distraction and something to motivate him again, he decides to apply for the assistant position of a digital influencer. Something outside his comfort zone and a completely different endeavor than he’s used to.
At first glance, Mady’s instinct clearly says she is facing a failed interview. Finn is nothing she expects. Obviously, she was expecting someone of the opposite sex, not the big, bearded man who dresses too comfortably and knows nothing about fashion or social media. Totally imperfect for the job. Even more by the way she is attracted to him.
But if opposites attract, these two are a good combination. Mady is competent at what she does, but she is very young and naive. Finn is knowledgeable and helps her get organized. But the growing attraction can put this professional relationship to the test.
Mady and Finn hide personal issues that threaten to disrupt the relationship. She hides a secret from him, a secret that affects the way she sees herself before the world. Finn, on the other hand, has a serious self-esteem problem, and cannot accept that someone attractive may be interested in him.
These personal and mental questions of the protagonists, as well as Finn’s jealousy and insecurity, weigh in on the narrative and the light and laidback romance, in some parts it becomes tense and dramatic. Their problem is serious, well portrayed, and is a warning to people who cannot accept their body image and let it affect their lives.
A romantic book with a couple with absurd chemistry, some drama and serious topics.

I love her titles. I really do. They have so much meaning behind it.
Leddy Harper knows what she’s doing. Her latest books nailed and I knew that this new one would be off charts.
I started to read it late and I wanted to slap myself for it.
Leddy Harper has a writing full of sassiness, feelings, hotness and some major topics.
She can put you into tears, oh tough, big and ugly, and fat tears… Been there, and done that. But she can also make you laugh so freaking hard.
The imPerfect Guy is her latest release and explores the lives of Mady and Finn.
Mady is a social influencer that enjoys what she does. If you had read the unEXpected Plan, you had already met her. But if not… Just read it first.
When she signed up with a major fashion designer she knew only two things. First, she would have to much work on her hands. And second, she needed to find an assistant. When she thought that she had the perfect girl…
Finn had his recruiting service and applied for an assistant job. He’s used to finding the perfect assistant to help his clients but now he applied himself. He’s reserved and doesn’t smile often, he’s a total badass. When he meets his boss…
So sweet. So perfect. So passionate. It was a joy.
Superb plot, very well written, super engaging and soul searching. It was amazing to see each character embracing their fears and imPerfections.
Not everything is a bed of roses because sometimes we must be careful to not hurt ourselves with the thorns that life throws at us.
Each chapter was even more intense than the latest and the hot stuff is there too.
I loved to read a few bits and pieces from the other characters and it made me want to read those books again.
I wanted to keep reading. I wanted more. I always want more from this author.
Leddy… Amazing book woman… I loved it so much. But you know me right? I always want more so… What’s next?I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The imPerfect Guy by Leddy Harper is a standalone contemporary romance told in dual POV between Mady and Finn. This is a sweet strangers to boss/employee to more trope with a bit of angst, a bit of real life, and a bit of fun thrown in the mix. Well-written and moderately paced, we get a front row row seat to Finn and Mady’s meet cute, his somewhat alpha tendencies and her interesting career as a social media influencer. I enjoyed the story but occasionally got frustrated with Mady’s maturity level and her relationship with her best friends. I feel like if she had perhaps shared more with them instead of keeping secrets there would have been less room for poisonous thoughts to creep in and sow doubt over her & Finn’s relationship. Regardless – the happy ever after is well-done. Enjoy!
Finn and Mady two unlikely people that should work but do. This book was a fun and refreshing read. It felt like this could be my friends getting together and falling in love. Insecurities and past hurts causing them to hide things and push the other away. The love and awkwardness they feel plays out in this book as genuine and honest. As I said this book was a refreshing and beautiful story that I am sure plays out everyday with someone in your inner circles.
Leddy Harper’s passion is seeped in this book of love, compassion and understanding. A story that delves under the surface to find what Finn and Mady are truly made of, a perfectly imperfect couple.
A must read for the holidays and beyond.
“Meeting the perfect guy seemed impossible. Little did I know. I was just waiting for the imperfect guy to come along.”
The imPerfect Guy is a refreshing read filled with great humor and chemistry. Both Mady and Finn have their own insecurities that jeopardize their future and make them risk missing out on a perfectly imperfect match, but with a few tears and challenges – like every good rom-com – there’s always the promise of a happy ending.
Entertaining and all-around fun read that takes place simultaneously with The unEXpected Plan, but can be read as complete stand-alones featuring the same group of four girlfriends.

3.5 cute sweet stars
This one is a sweet Rom Com, I quite enjoy it even though it’s a bit slow for my taste. There are plenty funny and sweet adorable moments. Not a big fan of the characters, I don’t understand Mady and Finn, both are confusing, sometimes they look so mature and another time they act like a teenager, I can’t connect with them at all, their interactions are loveable and full of fun though, so I still enjoying it nonetheless.
Cute story, many things that put a big smile on my face, yep I like it.
If you’re looking for a cute Rom Com, try this one.
Leddy Harper’s “The imPERFECT Guy” was funny and sweet, yet steamy at the same time. I liked both of the main characters, especially the female lead, Mady, and thought that they were well-developed. Despite being a brunette, Mady came across as the quintessential “dumb blonde” in Ms. Harper’s previous book (“The UnEXpected Plan”), but she seemed so much smarter here. Her mannerisms were a lot more understandable once I learned more about her and her background. Aside from that, Mady was very sweet and outgoing, and I loved watching her slowly gain confidence in herself over the course of the story. She was so much more capable than she gave herself credit for being!
Mady’s love interest, Finn, was somewhat more difficult for me to figure out than Mady herself. Most importantly, he was genuinely nice and incredibly protective of Mady, and I really liked that he wasn’t the typical buff, super-hot, perfect hero type. He seemed real and attainable, like the kind of guy I’d meet on the street. However, Finn’s insecurities often seemed to get the better of him, which was sometimes frustrating for me. Every time I thought he’d finally gotten past them and learned to trust in his relationship with Mady, something new would set him off, and the cycle would start all over again. Fortunately, he did finally get past them, and he and Mady were able to work things out in the end.
The book’s secondary characters, especially Mady’s three best friends, were a lot of fun, and I would love to see her friend Julie get a story next. She works in a hospital; maybe there’s some “Grey’s Anatomy”-type action going on there? 😉

I really liked this story and its characters, it flowed really well and kept me hooked until the end.
4.5 stars to the realest guy I know!
The imPERFECT Guy is absolutely adorably, awesome. Finn is real. He’s your husband, your neighbor, the guy who peaks your interest at the coffee shop. He is not the latest cover model on GQ. He is not the photoshopped abs on display everywhere. He most definitely isn’t the ‘roided up gym rats that can’t put their arms down and only stare at the mirror or reflective surfaces instead of looking you in the eyes.
But Finn comes with his own list of complications and they are as real as the zit on your nose. I think I fell for Mady as Finn because I, myself, felt like Finn. He’s easy to love, easy to identify with, and easy to point out his flaws because we feel them too! But do not get that crazy glint in your eyes because Mady isn’t the pedestal princess everyone chalks her up to being. No diva here- even if she occasionally makes you question my statement.
This book isn’t about perfection. It’s about loving yourself enough to let others love you too. Own your flaws, own you! It’s a beautiful story and it’s uplifting. But it’s also funny as hell because Mady is …well, Mady! No other way to describe her. She just is herself.
You may look for the perfect guy but I will always fall for The imPERFECT Guy.
