The Husband’s Secret is an amazing book! The writing is brilliant. The characters are so well-developed, with deep wounds and secrets. Cecilia finds a letter from her husband only to be opened on his death, Tess’s husband breaks the news to her that he and her cousin have fallen in love, and Rachel is grieving the loss of her daughter who was murdered many years earlier. Their stories seem unrelated at first, but the way they tie together is brilliant. The plot has so many twists and turns and the ending was totally unexpected. I will definitely be looking for more Liane Moriarty books.
Excellent book!!!
I’ve read everything by this author and I have enjoyed every one of her books! I’m always looking forward to anything she writes. All of her books are page Turners with well developed characters.
Original! Loved the unexpected ending!!
I loved this book! Moriarty has a way of making you feel like you are right in the scene with the characters, and she is expertly able to weave several story-lines together. I did NOT guess the husband’s secret until the very end. Loved it! This will definitely not be my last by her!
Great positioning and development of characters.
Another excellent, hard to put down book from a great Australian author!
Love this author!!!
Like all her books
This was an excellent book to listen to on a long car trip. It’s a marvelously well crafted novel about secrets that are shown as both necessary and detrimental to maintaining the social fabric of a community. Cecilia discovers her husband’s secret that’s so devastating she can’t share it with anyone. Even while recognizing her complicity in keeping it because how it would affect her family’s happy home, it gnaws at her. As she interacts with other members of her community, the reader sees the greater implications of her both revealing and continuing to hide the secret.
The first book my book club read and a club favorite! I’ve been a big fan of Moriarty ever since.
This is my first book by this author. It was a little difficult keeping all of the characters straight at first. About a quarter of the way through, it all made more sense. I enjoyed this original story.
Love this writer! Her books always have so many twists and turns. Great read.
Total surprise
another winner from this wonderful author!!
A very interesting book to read with lots of twists and turns.
Entertaining enough. Kept me interested. Enjoyed it.
A really good book. Not mind expanding but enjoyable fiction.
Great read!
I read this book after watching Big Little Lies TV series. What I like about the author’s writing is her deep point of view characters. She gets down into the heart of each character, so you feel what they feel, which isn’t always wonderful. But life is like that. I like when an author alternates chapters with multiple points of view and as the story unravels, how all of these characters intersect. I’ve always been drawn to stories like this. I do the same when choosing movies to watch. This story is compelling and you can’t turn the pages fast enough to see who has the secret and what that secret is. Then once it’s revealed, how people respond. Moriarty does a tremendous job with the quirks and idiosyncrasies of her characters. I’m now a fan and will read everything she publishes.
