THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER FROM THE AUTHOR OF BIG LITTLE LIES. One of the Best Books of the Year—Entertainment Weekly One of the Top Ten Books of the Year—People At the heart of The Husband’s Secret is a letter that’s not meant to be read… Cecilia,
If you’re reading this, then I’ve died…
Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not only the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. And then imagine that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive…
Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. But that letter is about to change everything—and not just for her. There are other women who barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they, too, are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.

Moriarty always provides twists that leave you wondering until the last page. Her writing is so engaging – laugh-out-loud at times, but you’ll cry other times because you feel the heart-ache and the love common to the lives of your family and friends. I couldn’t put this one down, yet I hated for it to end!
One of my favorite writers who is a great storyteller
Very good book. Guessing game throughout.
I read this a couple years ago and do not recall the details, only the rating I gave it on my Goodreads.
One of my favorites. Kept you guessing right up till the end.
Absolutely the best, did not want to put it down.
Tragic, that is the best way to describe this story. At each turn, it made me think – what would I have done?
Her best book but all of her others were great too. Waiting on another from her.
Great story. Kept you guessing . Page turner.
I loved this book. I thought I had it figured out but I was so wrong. Couldn’t put it down
Fabulous writer! One of my fave. I will read anything Lianne Moriarty writes.
This was the second of Liane Moriaty’s books that I’ve read (the first being Big, Little Lies — which was phenomenal!)..she’s a rather extraordinary writer. For me, I find myself stepping out of my life when I’m reading a great book, as in I seek every opportunity to read and become absorbed in story. The Husband’s Secret was definitely like that!
Always love her books. Can’t go wrong
Unputdownable! Lots of intrigue with the character development of the players in this book.
A book that should be read and shared with others. What happens when secrets are kept?
Read it in two days. Enjoyed the character and the story.
I tried to figure out “the secret” and could not, and am glad I didn’t as I was kept wondering and was surprised. Love these type of stories.
Slow build up, but quite an ending- completely thought provoking
Captivating!
A sad tale of lies and deceit
