THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER FROM THE AUTHOR OF BIG LITTLE LIES. One of the Best Books of the Year—Entertainment Weekly One of the Top Ten Books of the Year—People At the heart of The Husband’s Secret is a letter that’s not meant to be read… Cecilia,
If you’re reading this, then I’ve died…

I enjoyed this so much more than I anticipated. I’d never read Moriarty before but I loved the show Big Little Lies, so I thought I’d give her a try. I like twisty shit. This somewhat fits the bill.
I can say that you really have an idea of “the secret” pretty early on. But what was unexpected for me was how I felt about the characters. The story revolves around three women. None of who you particularly like. That should make it a hard read (or listen, in my case) but it really wasn’t. And, surprisingly, what I found was that the character I empathized with the most…was the one who did the worst deed.
That is what pushed this story up to a four star read for me.
I couldn’t put it down
I liked this book about 4 women of different ages who are having problems with their relationships. It starts out with the story of each woman and then about half way through, the women’s lives start intersecting until the ending is a total surprise.
You cannot go wrong reading her books. Best use of irony since John Irving.
What a whirlwind of a story. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. This story is about three different women who have their own stories. But their stories enter-twine with each other. One woman finds a note from her husband that was supposed to be read after he passed away revealing a secret. Another woman is still trying to solve the death of her teenage daughter many years ago. And another woman is trying to deal with her husband who is in love with her best friend and also reconnecting with an ex-boyfriend. This story takes place in Australia. Being someone in the USA this was such a cool experience for me to see the similarities and differences in our cultures. I loved it. This was a great story about family. About finding your self worth. About standing up for your happiness. About deciding what’s right in life. Life is not always how it looks and we never really have it all figured it out. There is a major twist that will shock you. This story has a great mystery element. I loved every minute of it.
Love his book. Very unexpected i twists and turns. Not what you think i or where it will go.
Good story line. I enjoyed the twists. I’m becoming accustomed to her style of writing. Quick, captivating read.
I have enjoyed all of Lianne Moriarty’s book. Such great story telling!
Can you say “irony”?
There are twists you’ll see coming, but some that will allow you away.
The more I read, the more riveted I became.
The characters and some of the situations are more realistic than most fiction I’ve read.
Kudos to the author for an amazing read!
This was my first Liane Moriarty book. I enjoyed it! I didn’t see the twists, specifically the connections between the three main characters, coming. The characters were very realistic. The book had just the right amount of detail that made it very easy to picture all the events.
Lots of surprises. Great book.
Enjoyable. Good twists.
LOVED it!
Read it!

She is one of my favorite authors. Her stories are always interesting and original.
It’s amazing how much we don’t know our own husbands.
