Charlotte’s a girl with nicknames. She may not love being called Charles or Chuck, but the hardest nickname to take is the one she was given in college, the one that’s followed her now for too many years. They call her “the husband maker” and sadly, it fits. Every guy she’s dated since high school has gone on to marry the next girl they date. Not two or three girls down the road. The very next … one.
Is she doing something wrong or is she just cursed?
When Kyle Aldsworth enters the picture and sweeps her off her feet, Charlotte begins to hope that maybe she’s not destined to be single forever. A senator’s son with political aspirations of his own, Kyle’s wealthy, handsome, and in need of a wife. Will Charlotte be disappointed yet again, or will she finally be able to make a husband for herself?

I’m a big fan of Karey White’s books and I’m pretty sure that I’ve read all of them so far. She writes sweet contemporary romance with a dash of humor. I love her heroines because they’re down to earth, realistic characters who have problems thrown at them, but deal with those problems in smart ways.
In The Husband Maker, Charlotte seems doomed …
Fun to read how Charlotte moves through her journey of self discovery when it comes to relationships. Warmly developed characters… had to continue on through the series…. just finished book 3!
Good read
enjoyed this book and will continue with the next in the series – found the characters very appealing and interesting – good story plot
I liked this book- looking forward to the next one.
It’s a cute story about a woman searching for love and has the misfortune that when she breaks up with a guy, they end up getting married soon after. It and easy read full of cut, funny and sad moments. I loved the relationship Charlotte has with Angus. Her series of unfortunate affairs lead to an interesting and funny read.
This is a great read that makes you laugh, roll your eyes and groan with the strong female lead character. This is one that is hard to put down!
I felt like I read this book before, Or at least saw the Hallmark Channel movie. Not inspired to search out other books from the same author.
A nice little story but this author lost me at the ending. Utter commercialisation to buy her next book in the series. I’m a fan of series to get to know a group of characters but ONLY if each book stands on its own. Won’t read another book by this author!
This is not a stand alone book! The writing was pretty good and easy to read. I only gave it 2 stars because it’s in a series and you must buy the next book to see what happens.
I really enjoyed this book, so much that I’m now reading the other 2. Definitely worth it, hard to put down with great characters!
First off, this book ends in a cliffhanger!!! Uhhh. Second why did I just read this? I thought I was going to read a light hearted story on finding the one… not at all what i got. I was depressed the entire time. Will not be reading the next… the only reason I rated 2 stars is because it is really well written.
Entertaining but it ends as a little bit of a cliffhanger. Not my favorite way to end a book
Very well written. Cliff hanger.
I really liked this book. I found I was drawn right into the story at the beginning and the next thing I knew it was
To be continued….
This is the first of 3 in a series…so needless to say I am now reading book 2 and have already bought book 3…They are written in a believable way..one minute I am laughing and the next I am sad…Can’t wait …
