There are moments when you think life is going one way and a major curveball sends you the complete opposite direction. That’s me, standing in the rain, wondering how things went so terribly wrong. What do I need? To hide at my brother’s house to lick my wounds. What do I get? My brother’s roommate, sexy-as-sin best friend, Carter Kennedy. The cute, adventurous boy who was my teenage crush. The … my teenage crush. The inspiring, irresistible man who will never be mine.
But then things get complicated with fun-filled days and pleasure-filled nights.
If Carter wasn’t the most commitment-phobic person I know, I could consider the cliché of dating my brother’s best friend. But he will never fit the husband checklist I made to find the man who will be my world, and I’m not willing to compromise on that.
At least, that’s the plan.

I absolutely loved this book! This is the first book I’ve read by this author, definitely not the last! This is the best brother’s best friend romance book that I have read in such a long time!! Julia has been dumped by her boyfriend and goes home to visit her brother, Oliver. Oliver’s best friend, Carter, opens the door instead of her brother. I loved these characters, their banter, their interactions, the pull between them, and their chemistry. The story is beautifully written, with lots of emotion, sweet moments and heat….I loved it from start to finish. Thank you Jasmin for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
5 STARS
I always enjoy reading novels written by Jasmin Miller. This book is no exception. I love Carter and Julia’s story. Carter is so sweet and I commend Julia for knowing what she wants, hence her checklist. Theirs is a story that you don’t want to miss.
The Husband Checklist is an EPIC read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Who better to fall in love with, help check off your list and create a little conflict along the way? Your childhood friend who happens to be your Brother’s Best Friend and Business Partner, of course. Yes, this is cliche, but the way these characters are written and their story delivered a sweet reward. It was fun to read, because the characters were fun and had a chemistry between them that wasn’t forced. The surprises that Carter has come up with make this one even better. This story’s sweetness was balanced with heartbreak, a hint of angst, sexiness and growth in characters which made it relatable.
Jasmin Miller just gets better with each book! The Husband Checklist is a charming and full of chemistry, brother’s best friend romance with just enough steam and angst to make a light-hearted and breezy read. This was such a fun read. Full of banter and flirty scenes and heartfelt moments – this book will make you fall in love with Carter and Julia!
Julia and Carter’s story was beautiful, fun, flirty, sexy and full of swoony feels. It was such a joy to read and left my heart feeling ever so full.
I loved this book. It’s got a little of everything you need to keep you turning those pages. Jasmin Miller is fast becoming one of my favorite go to authors.
This is a story that pulls at the heartstrings. Jules is having a rough bout in life. Through tragedy, she settles for a mediocre relationship and convinces herself it’s true love. When the reality of her situation is thrown in her face she decides to finally take control of her life. She is not going to let life pass her by anymore. Since she is down on her luck, she seeks out her brother and asks to move in with him. What she was not expecting is to find her brother’s best friend also rooming in the house. Jules has always been attracted to Carter, but figure it was one-sided. Carter, who is a wholesome, honorable guy, wants to do his best to protect and help Jules out with her new “Husband Checklist”. However, while making this checklist they get themselves in quite the predicament.
Is there forever friendship strong enough to hold up against the impossible? Is this a fling or an ultimate test of their friendship? This sweet friends to lovers story will leave you breathless and smiling from ear to ear.

Jasmin Miller is a new to me author and this is the first book I have read from her, but I know that it won’t be my last. The Husband Checklist is a swoon-worthy friends to lovers romance.
Julia is left homeless after a break up, so what does she do? Run to her brother’s home, only to find her brother’s best friend and her childhood crush, Carter. Carter isn’t the relationship type, he isn’t looking for long term. Julia is the opposite, she wants the commitment, the relationship, a husband. What happens with lines start to get blurred?
I am a sucker for friends to lovers romances and this one quickly become one of my favorites. I loved Julia and Carter individually but also together. Carter was sweet, caring, supportive and I couldn’t help but swoon over him. Julia is funny, awkward and determined to find the perfect man for her. I honestly wanted to best friends with her. I loved the chemistry between the two of them and it just made me smile, of course, life isn’t all about daisies and rainbows and they did have to deal with real life.
The Husband Checklist is a fantastic friends to lovers, best friends little sister romance that will have you smiling the whole way through and falling in love with these characters. A MUST READ!
The second book that I have read by this author and it is definitely not the last! A wellwritten and fastpaced book with an amazing storyline and incredible characters. Love the bond between Jules and Carter. Would love to read more about this couple.

What a novel! Jasmin Miller doesn’t disappoint, at all. Having followed her work for years now, I’m so sure that you’ll love ‘The Husband Checklist’! Sometimes, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas and this is one heck of a ride you shouldn’t miss out!
Carter and Julia are two souls you need to watch out for, they’ll swoop in and take your heart, not even kidding.
It’s a hot, beautiful and funny novel that sends butterflies everywhere, and makes sure that a grin plastered on your face throughout.
Utterly beautiful!

How can I sum up this book in a word? SWEET. From start to finish this book was a sweet story of two friends reconnecting and letting their connection grow into something more.
Carter and Julia will give you all the warm and fuzzy feels. Julia’s past is laced with heartbreak and she is still trying to overcome it and get back to girl she used to be. Being with Carter again helps get that girl back and once they spend time together again, sparks fly and the crush they always had for each other grows into an undeniable and impossible-to-ignore attraction.
I loved both Julia and Carter’s getaways. They were flirty, fun and hot and sweet. These two are a perfect match and you can see that from the start. They have a few bumps along the way, mainly Julia’s brother and Carter’s bff but they fight for their relationship and gosh it was just so sweet and heartwarming. I adored this story.
Although Oliver and Cora are already living their HEA, I would love to read their story. They have such a cute relationship and Cora is such a sweetheart. Jasmin sure knows how to write secondary characters and make them truly important for the story and us readers.
It is a pretty awesome love story featuring best friends.
It is fast paced, scorching hot, full of palpable sexual tension between MCs and lots of LOVE!!!
It was my first book by this author and I really liked her writing style.
It was a very fast and very enjoyable read with adorable characters (all of them) and super sweet ending.
I rarely read F/M romance books because they hardly ever meet my expectations. This time I was wrong, it was predictable (but we read love stories for the happy ending so there’s nothing wrong with that) and a little bit too fairy tale-y but it was also relaxing, heartwarming and just super CUTE. The love part was believable, Carter was a good guy and Jules was simply adorable. I kept my fingers crossed for their happiness 🙂 I like stories featuring best friends since this way I can be sure MCs really know each other, understand the other person and I love watching them fall in love. That’s my favorite scenario!

This was such a fun read! Full of banter, steamy hot scenes and heartfelt moments – this book will make you fall in love with Carter and Julia!
After getting dumped by her boyfriend of over two years – Julia decides to make herself a husband checklist in order to move on and get her life back on track. And who better to help her achieve her goals than her brothers best friend and business partner Carter. Oh and he just happens to be her temporary roommate and childhood crush -absolutely no chance for shenanigans – just kidding!
I enjoyed that this book was more about Julia finding herself and accepting her imperfections rather than just achieving her husband checklist. True to her young age of 23, Julia was a little to naive for me at times, but with age comes wisdom and she is not there yet. Carter is definitely a man worth having a crush on – sexy, thoughtful and generous- especially in the bedroom. The push and pull between the Carter and Julia trying to figure out if their fling could turn into something more added the ideal amount of tension to the story. Add in the overprotective brother who is not happy about any relationship involving his baby sister- you definitely have fun read. There were some good twists and turns to the book to keep the story interesting and had me staying up late to finish. 4.5 stars for me!
“I stare into his beautiful eyes, the connection I have with him already pulling me under like I’m in quicksand”
Wow! The Husband Checklist was spectacular! The story of Carter and Julia is funny, refreshing, sweet!
Their chemistry is incredible, Their journey is innocent at first, though page after page their connection feels so pure and real!
I loved the characters, the storyline, and that cover… Perfection!
Once again Jasmin delivers a well written story!
Can’t wait for the world to meet Carter and Julia

This was my first Jasmin Miller book & I really enjoyed it! I thought it was a really sweet and funny book. I loved the beginning, it really hooked me. It was so fun to see, not only Carter and Julia’s chemistry from the get go, but also their close relationship they had from being childhood friends. I thought it was really cute that Carter Julia and Oliver (her brother) all grew up together & it was really fun to see that dynamic mentioned when they were young and also see it change throughout the book with everything that happens.
I have a soft spot for Julia and Carter’s relationship. The way they care for each other and the little things they have that are just theirs made me smile so big. Also: THE END! SO GOOD GUYS!
The only reason this is four stars is because, at times, I felt disconnected from the story and characters in the middle. I’m not really sure why, but that’s just my personal experience. I hope if you read this book, you love it! As I said, I thought it was super sweet so if you like those types of stories, hopefully you’ll enjoy this one.
This story gives you everything you want from a brother’s best friend, friends to lovers story. The chemistry between Julia and Carter was tangible from their first scene and it was so satisfying to watch their relationship unfold. Having read a few of her books, I have come to expect for Jasmin Miller to write characters who are lovable, and true to themselves. Every decision they make throughout the story is authentic to the characters she has developed. Julia is a true heroine, strong and soft at the same time, and Carter is confident and insecure and all sorts of book boyfriend material. I could not put this book down, my anxiety levels from their chemistry and tension radiated through my whole body while reading. As a SoCal girl, I love that she uses the area as the setting for her story, with some familiar landmarks that definitely bring out the happy in me. Overall this is a perfect read! I truly loved every word. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily give my review.
