Though he has come to Earth to track down enemies of the Intergalactic Federation, when Hale encounters a human female living on her own in a wild, dangerous land, he takes it upon himself to rescue her and claim her as his mate. But the beautiful, feisty girl will need to be tamed.Reyna has spent years surviving against all odds in the remote, thickly forested mountains beyond the control of the … control of the alien alliance which rules her world, but she stands no chance against Hale’s skill and strength. When she runs from him, the huge, handsome warrior catches her easily and then wastes no time in baring her bottom for a painful, humiliating spanking.
Hale quickly sets about teaching Reyna what it means to belong to a Cantari Hunter, and over the coming days she is punished thoroughly and shamefully for any disobedience and brought to one shattering climax after another as she is made his in every way. But even if Hale masters Reyna’s heart as completely as her body, can his new mate find a place for herself among his people?

Hale finds Reyna and wants her. But Reyna has been living on her own with no discipline at all. Hale must tame her in order to keep her. This is where the fun begins. I like when the woman are fiesty. The more defiant they are, the more depth and struggles the alpha has to make them submissive. Reyna is a challenge for Hale. She falls for Hale and that changes things. I liked the push and pull of these two. There was a fun aspect in between the spankings and taming. This book has all the steam, spankings and romance that I have come to expect of a Morgana Williams book.
Dominick Masters has an easy to listen to voice. His speed was a little slower than I preferred. He kept the characters separate and easy to follow. Dominick’s female voice was smooth and did not seem forced.
I had a ball, listen to this story. Reyna is strong, independent and stubborn. Where as Hale is an alpha male, who expects his mate to follow orders without questions or challenges. As you know opposites do attract . I must say that I love how Hale claims Reyna at first sight as his mate. Also, I love how Reyna fights for Hale, then turns around and enjoys her punishment. Overall, this story will leave you on the edge til the very end.
He is a Hunter and he has come to earth to get the enemies he needs to get. He meets her and he he knows she needs taming. He is up for the job. Can he take her? Will she let him take her? See what will happen

~Spicy and interesting first read!~
THE HUNTER’S MATE by Morganna Williams was a first read from this author and I enjoyed the Alpha-domineering side of Hale the Cantari Hunter. Reyna’s character was certainly feisty, though a bit sequestered and antisocial most probably due to the state of the Earth, which was left in a dangerous state of survival of the smartest and fittest. Hale runs into Reyna during his mission, and decides to claim her as a mate, opening her eyes to his world, his family and a new life. Of course, Reyna, being Reyna, was punished quite a bit – and those bits were great! I found humor in one of Hale’s particular forms of punishment (but I did appreciate the underlying reason for his resorting to it) as well as Hale’s alien best friend (his species) – Reyna’s interchanges with him were cute.
This is a new author for me and I’m very pleased to have found her! This is an alien/human romance but it’s also a wall meet wall romance, both characters are strong and fiercely independent. As the two work out their differences there are some scenes that may not be to everyone’s taste, all I can say is they are necessary for this story and are tastefully written. The male is an alpha who will not be disobeyed but he shall also die to protect the woman he loves. There are a lot of differing emotions and action in this book and for anyone who likes the genre this is a definite must.

It’s the tale of the meeting of a Cantari Hunter named Hale with his mate, a human female named Reyna. The author has a way of bringing the reader into the story as the two of them meet for the first time.As the story continues, the ending is a surprise and makes me think that there will be more Cantari Hunter books in the future. The story is well written, moves quickly and was a delight to read !
This story had me smiling a story that kept me reading, this is a fast story to read. Hale is an alien man with a protective streak he just has to make sure everyone is alright and if you do not obey you will be in trouble. Human Reyna is a strong willed woman who has made it on her own, now she is being told she has to do things Hale’s way. This is an enjoyable alien/alpha-finds-their-fated-mate story (if that even makes sense). Basically, there’s the feisty, spunky, head-strong girl who doesn’t need a man (alien in this case) to take care of her and then there is the alpha man who knows she is his mate and will stop at nothing to prove to her she needs him; she needs to submit to him. A merry chase ensues; pleasure follows. Throw in some action scenes and you got a hit. I hope you enjoy this quick read as much as I did

I enjoyed this book. It is short and reads as an insta-lust/insta-love romance. I thought the plot held a lot of potential and I felt it would have been better served if the book was longer. This would have provided more room for character and world development. Still it was a pretty fun read and I liked the characters. There is drama, action, humor and steam to keep you entertained.
