Unfortunately, his reputation—as a bit of a playboy and, more importantly, a vampire—has already caught the attention of some townspeople, much to his brother’s dismay.

Forced together, the two opposites must decide between passion and reputation. Love and fear.

THE HUNTER’S AFFECTION is a steamy contemporary vampire romance with an HEA. Fans of Elizabeth Hunter, Jeaniene Frost and Lynsay Sands may enjoy this paranormal romance series.more
Fresh, engaging, sexy, steamy & addictive… This series just keeps getting better! This is how modern paranormal is done!
This series just keeps getting better and better!
The dynamics of centuries old vampires intermingling with modern day life ( and the women these boys fall for) is truly exceptional.
I’ve read all 3 of these books and each leaves you smiling and eager for more ….
And as a special thought , it occured to me that this series would make an excellent movie series( move over TWILIGHT!!!) , but that’s my opinion .
Looking forward to the next installment as we still need to know what goes with Laria, Rowan and the rest of the cast……can’t wait !
Excellent, Cecelia!

Stone Haven isn’t Torr Derrickson’s kind of town as it’s small & quaint. However he intends to help his brother Lawrence fulfill a lifetime dream of opening a bar and then he’s leaving.
Enter Charlotte O’Neill. the English teacher is everything Torr is not. A small-town girl who’s a rule-follower & very much human.
Charlotte know there’s something different about her friend’s brother, but she wasn’t quite prepared for the secret he unveils. Worse, her attraction to the bad boy vampire fills her thoughts distracting her from the redemption she desperately needs.
The third book in this enthralling series Torr is drop dead gorgeous, a seven hundred year old playboy but when he falls oh boy does he fall. Charlotte first appeared as so prim & proper but first appearances can be deceptive. I loved everything about this book, the ongoing mystery, the threat to both families & of course the romance. This book could be read on its own but I’d recommend reading the series in order to fully appreciate it plus the whole series is awesome & I can’t wait for the next in the series
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Torr Derrickson is visiting the sleepy little town of Stonehaven and his brother. After seven hundred years as vampires they don’t normally put down roots, but his brother is opening a bar there with the love of his life.
Torr is more a wandering Playboy type, so the sooner he can leave the better. He really doesn’t like all the company his brother is keeping.
Charlotte O’Neill is a typical Southern Belle. From a once very wealthy family she now works as an English teacher. She is always aware of the necessity of a good reputation. Her two best friends in town have recently found love with the latest residents to settle in town.
This is an exciting paranormal romance that is part of a series that is better read in order because of the underlining back story. You could enjoy it on it’s own but it will tempt you to read the others.
Wonderful characters and lots of fun. There must be at least one more book to come. I hope.
The series continues…This vampire series isn’t like any I’ve read before. I love the originality. And I think Torr might be my favorite vampire so far. He and Charlotte are the opposites that attract! I loved reading their story and can’t wait until the next Bloodwite installment. I’m already chomping at the bit! Please, Ms. Mecca, don’t make us wait too long!
The Hunter’s Affection is 3rd in Cecilia Meccas Boodwite series. This story follows Torr Derrickson the younger brother of Lawrence Derrickson from the Immortals Salvation #2 which is a definite must read as well. Torr is in Stone Haven with his brother and sister Laria. Lawrence is getting ready to open up his new bar so in the meantime Torr is just finding a way to kill time and figure out what exactly has been going on with Zach and his grandmother with their involvement with the cheld. Being the new playboy in town.. until he meets Charlotte O’Niell a prim and proper southern belle who has moved to Stone Haven Pennsylvania to be a teacher and whose best friends are Alessandra and Toni in the small town. Her car stands her on the side of the road. To her rescue and kidnapping Torr takes her to a Noir Nights somewhere she would never go otherwise. From there she let’s loose and shows she has more of a wilder side then she let’s on. There is undeniable chemistry between them from the start. Their story only gets better and hotter from there. This story has answered some of my other questions from previous stories that I was itching to know. Cecilia Mecca has done a outstanding job with this series and I am anxiously awaiting the next installment… You will not be disappointed!
The Hunter’s Affection by Cecelia Mecca is Book three in my new favorite and WICKEDLY ADDICTIVE Bloodwite Vampire series!
I LOVE this series! I loved Kenton, then I was team Lawrence but, now I’m all about team Torr! I didn’t think it possible but, each book is better than the last! The storyline is well written with great world building, witty dialogue, adventure, mystery, twist and turns, and fabulous in-depth characters. I didn’t want to put it down! Torr’s has been the quintessential play boy for centuries and Charlotte is a straight laced English teacher who’s always protected her reputation from bad elements. Their unlikely attraction sparks off a sizzling four alarm fire romance that will leave you will a sunburn! And, there is a HUGE surprise in the book! Squee! I recommend this book and series to everyone who loves a great immortal read.
Torr is the playboy Derrickson brother who has two things on his mind having fun and protecting the Cheld and also keeping and eye out for the Sect the evil Cheld. Hes in town helping his brother Lawrence with his bar waiting for something to happen before boredom sets in and if he has to spend to much time around his brother’s new BFF Keaton Morley he may punch him in the face there family’s used to be huge enemies. After 700 yrs Torr has some major baggage he doesn’t think he can settle anywhere and find happiness not to mention he feels responsible for the creation of the Sect. Then he finds a new interest Charlotte she teaches English and is the complete opposite of the type of women he’s normally drawn too with her prim and proper personality and im not about to break any rules attitude but he wants her anyway.
Charlotte has secrets of her own her family is not as proper as she makes them out to be her mother cant let go of her former wealthy status and her father well he got in trouble and now hes paying for it so Charlotte knows what happens when you break the rule’s but now she knows something is up with her friends there keeping things from her and then theres Torr his reputation proceeds him she want’s to stay away but can she and what happens when everyone’s secrets come out will she still be able to resist Torr or want him more. This town has its own secrets or rather its people do. Can Torr protect Charlotte if danger comes to there town or will he decide to leave her and the other’s. Cecilia Mecca has managed to re write the standard vampire romance with its complex characters that lived in another time with old world rules and standards and make them modern and willing to make there own rules. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Each book follows a new couple, as interwoven elements continue throughout the series. I like tension in my romances, and that’s just what Cecelia Mecca has done with the chalk and cheese pairing of Torr and Charlotte. The pair are polar opposites, Torr the quintessential sexy player bad boy, and Charlotte the epitome of southern decorum. As attraction simmers, drama and secrets loom. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the pair. I recommend reading the series in order from the start for total enjoyment.
An outstanding addition to the series!
Meet Torr aka “The Hunter”, known for his tracking skills in finding newly aroused Cheld. Being a 700 year old vampire has its perks: world travel, countless women, hates commitments of any kind and loves never having to settle in one place for too long.
In comes Charlotte, best friend to Allesandra and Toni from books 1 and 2, who was raised like a Regency debutante with a strict mother who’s social status trumped everything… including love. She breaks away to find herself ending up in Stone Haven and gaining two friends and a career of her own.
In the beginning, Torr andd Charlotte mix like vinegar and water and it was completely entertaining to see the walls being torn down for both of them as they find the most important thing in life. Love.
MY FAVORITE LINES IN THE BOOK: And when Charlotte handed her coat to Kenton, Torr sucked in a breath. She didn’t see him yet. Which was a good thing since centuries of composure had abandoned him in an instant.
Without giving any spoilers, know that this author will take you on a journey of true love, adventure, and something dark creeping around town that both the vampires and Allesandra sense but cannot find. Add to that an ancient journal that both worlds would kill to obtain and you have the background to this story. I was given an ARC and wanted to leave a review. I cannot wait until the next book!! Also note that these are all stand-alone reads but if you begin with the free prequel and read them in order you’ll have a better picture of what’s happening in Stone Haven, PA
Prepare to be pulled into a world all of it’s own with a swoonworthy vampire named Torr. Yes, I did say vampire and I mean he can boil your blood! I truly cannot believe I am reading paranormal vampire books, but Cecelia Mecca has a magical pen that had me pulled me into this series before I knew what was happening! Do not be mistaken, these are not your ordinary vampires, heck no. They are over 700 years old and their past is as interesting as the present.
Torr is the rogue of the family and he is only around to help his brother get his business started. He enjoys himself with the ladies and has charm rolling off of him in waves. But he is in for a reckoning when he meets Charlotte. She is the total opposite of him. A teacher, upright from a strict upbringing and best friends with two of the characters from the first two books. Talk about opposites attrack! But truly both had secrets from the past and as they go to know each other, the attraction was there. Oh yes, hot.
Just know when you turn the first page, you will be lost in a world unlike any other that will take hold and not let you go until you turn the last page.
Another wonderfully entertaining book from the first page to the last! A whirlwind romance, mystery and family (not to mention vampires) in a small town. As this group grows and gets closer, they are trying to get some answers about what secrets a prominent family knows.
Cecilia Mecca has really demonstrated her skills as a writer in this series. Book 3 was even better than books 1 and 2. The opposites attract trope was developed in a way that was believable. Charlotte and Tor don’t just love each other , despite their differences; the unlikely pair love each other because of those differences.
The mystery from book 2 continues and it is seriously jeopardizing the heros’ lives in Stone Haven. Really curious to what is going on.
One critique that I’ve noticed in the series. The vampires are obviously stronger than humans. They also seem to have instances of poor judgement and impulse control. Odd, given the fact their hundreds of years old. Throughout all books so far, there have been fights started or concluded in front of witnesses. I understand that the human brain will come up with reasonable explanations to explain the impossible, but Stone Haven is a small town. It seems illogical to me that vampires haven’t been outed yet. This is an interesting series, despite this little inconsistency.
Keep up the great work, Cecilia! Can’t wait for book 4
As soon as I got this book I couldn’t put it down. The ongoing underlying story is pulling you in and making the reader try to put pieces together. Then Torr and Charlotte’s unlikely love story of opposites complimenting each other was just as gripping. I wanted the bad boy to win that good girl over who had her own secrets. The ending made me so happy and wonder what’s next. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I received an advanced reader copy from the author. All opinions are my own.
Book Three, and the story is still going strong! The characters are simply fantastic. There’s some fabtastic sexual tension for a while, some magnificent and smoking hot chemistry, and some amazing sweet romantic moments. I devoured this book. Once I started reading, there was no stopping.
I loved this book, once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down. Torr and Charlotte are like thermite! Both have a past they’d rather forget, a past that has shaped they way they see and feel about certain things. A common thread in this series is Family, loyalty, love and acceptance which is something we all understand the desire for – mortal or immortal. And I always enjoy the debunking of the pop culture view of vampires in this series. Another great installment of the Bloodwite series!
Torr the vampire playboy meets the woman who will steal his heart. But first, he has to make Charlotte let down her guard and upend her tidy world. It was fun watching their relationship unfold. Some history of Stone Havens residents are learned and the mystery of the unknown Cheld continues. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
The Hunter’s Affection by Cecelia Mecca is the 3rd book in the Bloodwite series… and oh what a book it is! I love this series so much and this book in particular is my favourite so far!! Every book keeps getting better and better! I love Torr even more than I loved Kenton and Lawrence. There is nothing I love more than an Alpha male bad boy with a protective streak a mile long and a soft spot for his girl! The hero in this book is totally swoon worthy. When I realized that Charlotte was Torr’s love interest, I had my doubts but once I got to know Charlotte’s character it was easy to understand and they are perfect for one another!! A complete page turner and I absolutely can’t wait for more!
This Series gets Better and Better!!
In the small town of Stone Haven PA, two vampires have purchased mansions. Kenton who married a local Cheld Alessandra, and Lawrence who is dating Toni. Torr is Lawrence’s brother and is falling for Charlotte, Alessandra and Toni’s best friend. Torr doesn’t get serious. Charlotte doesn’t know vampires exist.
The Cheld are beings who have strengths similar to vampires, and are known to kill vampires, especially if they are members of the Sect. Charlotte is dealing with family issues, and Torr is getting in the way.
“Charlotte didn’t need this today. Weekends were supposed to be about rest and relaxation. Six plus feet of pure, unadulterated ma stood in front of her. Slight darker hair than his brother’s, but not so black as that of the Morley brother, Torr’s appeal came not just from his good looks, but from the expression he wore even now. Confidence oozed from him. She only realized she’d been staring when Alessandra cleared her throat next to her.”
Danger, intrigue, vampires, and a to-die-for relationship. Balanced with humor and an all-around excellent read!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
The third book in the Bloodwite series a well-written story that I enjoyed reading. This series just gets better I can not wait to read the next book . A well written book this is Charlotte O’Neill and Torr Derrickson’s story. I would say to get the best effect of this series start with book one. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
