As a fighter pilot all his aircraft info was right on.
A great read
Love the book even more than the movie. So much more detail! Some different renderings of minor incidents (minor to the overall story.)
One of my all time favorites!
A little wordy.
Love Jack Ryan
Fabulous
fantastic
This was the first Clancy novel I ever read. In those days I had a rule – I would read the first chapter and if a book hadn’t captured my attention by then, I put it back. Clancy didn’t miss. His ability to bring so much technical realism into his books made them unforgettable. This is one of the greatest books about submarine warfare that I have ever read.
A classic Clancy Action story, however it is a bit dated now.
Clancy at his best! Loved it!
This book was fast-paced with great characters and character development.
This is one of my favorite books of all time. The characters are complex and intertwined. I love the littlest details like the Mormon doctor who doesn’t drink coffee and can’t understand why anyone does. He gets his energy from a cold drink of milk.
I challenge you to start reading The Hunt for Red October because you won’t be able to put it down.
Cold war thriller, that is a little dated, but still an enjoyable read.
One of Clancy’s best and hugely entertaining. Some of the technical information may turn off some readers, but stay with the story. While the movie was good, Alec Baldwin does not do Clancy’s Jack Ryan justice. Read the book.
This book introduced a soldier that becomes president. My husband told me that by reading the first book, new books & movies will make them better & understand
A must for voracious readers, Clancy does not assume the reader knows military abbreviations or acronyms; he also does a good job to remind the reader of characters in subsequent books
Great book – well researched.
One of a kind
What can I say other than it’s Clancy
