This is the complete Hunt series in one set. No questions about having the first or next book here.
This is a complex series with a lot going on which makes is a bit hard to classify. For myself, I am going to call it urban fantasy. Add to that base some romance, lots of adventure, and more that a dose of intrigue and you have one hell of a read (figuratively and literally).
This is a fantastic books series with a deep, complex plot line, strong characters and a well developed world all of which combines to draw you into the story and keep you reading way past when you should do other things. I love strong female leads and our heroine definitely fits the bill, but then all of the characters have their strengths and weaknesses as well. And yet for all the depth in the story, I still found it easy to read and enjoy. As a complete boxed set, this will provide plenty of reading enjoyment for a good while.
Highly recommended.

Loved this box set, it’s perfect to have the books right there so when you finish one you can delve straight in to the next one! This series seems very well thought out and written, the characters come to life and jump right off the page. There is lots of action, emotion, questioning, learning, protective instincts along with hatred and dislike. Each of the books follows on from each other and the story unfolds as you continue to read through them. This set is well worth the time to read, if you enjoy paranormal romances you are going to love this set.

This is the complete boxset which made me happy that I got to read it from start to finish. The characters are well developed and exciting to get to know. I had to keep turning page to page as quickly as I could with all the twist and turns it kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved it.

Predator
This quick little gem introduces us to a supernatural world that exists beside our own that most of us mere humans believe is nothing more than fantasy. But in this world, all the creatures that go bump in the night are real, including demons, witches, vampires, and angels. Severus is an incubus, a demon of lust. He’s come to terms with what he is and how most of his fellow demons view him. Moira is a college student who’s once perfectly healthy body has betrayed her. Nothing in her world is the same anymore. When these two meet, loads of questions come crashing to the surface. I’m loving these characters. I’m loving the intrigue around Moira’s ancestry. And after the way this ends, I can’t wait to read the next book.
Prey
Wow. I think I’m just a little numb now because the words refuse to come. This was a darkly emotional read. It picks up almost immediately where the first book left off and carried me away. I’m not completely impressed with Moira’s too-stupid-to-live actions, but I understand why she does them and why they were necessary for the story. I loved watching Severus and all his protective instincts. Now I’m even more desperate to read the rest of the series.
When I find an author I love, I tend to binge-read them like crazy.
Well, the amazing Liz Meldon is my current binge read. And her super sexy angels and demons paranormal romance series The Hunt kept me biting my nails and one-clicking “Preorder Now” for months.
I’ve already praised Meldon’s first book, Predator, which introduces us to the incubus demon escort Severus and the graduate student Moira. (Yes, of course I’m a sucker for a paranormal romance with a graduate student heroine.)
I’m delighted to report that The Hunt series gets better and better. Meldon did an amazing job world-building with Predator, managing to pull me into a world of angels, demons, and hybrids with all my disbelief cheerfully suspended.
That world only gets more intense, fascinating, and darker with the following books, Prey, Stalker, and Killer. Meldon gets so many things right in these books. I’m always impressed by authors who can write both adrenaline-pumping actions scenes and Kindle-melting erotica, and Meldon certainly belongs in that camp.
What’s more, her plot was delightfully unpredictable. The few times when I found myself thinking, “Oh, crap, here comes a big miscommunication meltdown,” the characters surprised me by being reasonable, thoughtful, and compassionate. Which meant the challenges Severus and Moira – and the amazingly fun cast of supporting characters inhabiting the world around them – were much bigger and far less ordinary than just navigating the depths of an intimate relationship.
That’s what makes any novel for me, be it a paranormal romance, an epic fantasy series, or The Brothers Karamazov. The characters have to be believable, and the reader needs to connect with their struggles.
Ultimately, that’s why I loved The Hunt so much. I fell for Severus, with his downtrodden past, his desperate striving to do the right thing, and his fathomless loneliness. And I fell for Moira, with her courage in the face of adversity, and her stubborn insistence to hold on to what’s good about her life, even if it means bringing her best friend into a world of angels and demons.
If you’re looking for your next epic read, you can’t go wrong with The Hunt series!
