WEIGHT! He lost 17 lbs of it fifteen days?!Yes, he did! It’s the true story of how best-selling author Andrew Mackay pulled it off… “OBESE!”

Devastated by the news, Mackay cooked up a dangerously low-calorie plan to start the following Monday. He wrote a diary for the first two weeks to motivate himself and capture how it changed him mentally and physically.
As the first week ended, he realized he’d done everything wrong. Then, he discovered the real key to weight loss.
He never intended to publish his strictly-personal account of losing weight … but the strategy worked so well, he couldn’t keep it to himself any longer. Deliberately written for fast-and-easy reading, The Hunger Diaries unearths dozens of benefits anyone can use right now, including:

The Hunger Diaries
An interesting look into the problem of Obesity, that affects a lot of people in the modern world with a touch of humour throughout
This took a lot of guts to publish about a weight lost journey. I know from fact, that it isn’t easy to do. Willpower is the hardest part to put into place and if it’s not, it will lead to failure. Andrew took drastic measures in his weight lost and did really well. When he started fasting, I thought, okay if only for 24 hours it’s probably safe. But when he stretched it further, I was concerned for his well being. Andrew stressed to check with your physician first and I agree 100%. You see, I had Gastric Bypass in 2001 and a lot of the things that happen while fasting would be very harmful for me. So please see you doctor first.
Okay, now about the book as a whole. When I signed up for it and started reading, I was like, what the hell did I get myself into? Then it was, what the hell was he thinking? Yes, this isn’t like his other books, but this is something you can’t put action or fantasy to. This is real life and cootoes to Andrew for doing this! I could definitely relate to a lot of it. Before my surgery, I went from diet after diet and nothing worked. I ended up at 350+ Pounds, heading for kidney failure, had high blood pressure, starting diabetes, severe sleep apnea, depression and a whole lot more. Reading this brought back a flood of memories and I so understand what Andrew is going through. But a book like this could be just what someone like me back then needed to loose weight. When you do weight loss with someone, you are more likely to stick to it and with this journal, it would be a buddy system. The information that Andrew gave will be very helpful to someone who wants to follow in Andrew’s foot steps. The links in the back of the book is brilliant.
You have to admit that some of Andrew’s warped mind that he usually writes his books with, did seep through and that just was the icing on the cake, sorry for the pun. Anyway, read this book, look at yourself, laugh along the way, think it over if you are obese or not and be honest with yourself, it may save your life like it did mine.
The author takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of intense personal experiences in how – and how NOT – to lose weight. His daily updates had me rolling with laughter that, I’m certain, must have burned significant calories for me…lol. If you ever questioned the daily experiences of what it feels like to be on a diet or to fast, this book is priceless! It’s done in a humorous way but also gives the reader inspiration to give it a go themselves. And goes into depth about the pitfalls and challenges that one might face. Excellent read and highly recommended!
